What is impossible for Thee? What is impossible for You?What is impossible for Thee?1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
What task is too hard for You, O God?
Is moving mountains too difficult,
or even transforming man's heart an impossibility for You?
Oh God, all things are possible to You
All power is in Your hands!
Now, my Lord, I pray, come to my salvation;
And hear, O Lord, my prayer;
Confirm and prove my faith in Thee,
is it not impossible to man my case?
But my trust is in the God whom I serve
I cannot see Him, but He is near;
The words I utter He Himself hears
He has not neglected my prayer
Then Lord, my God, please do according to my prayer,
For You are my only hope;
Day and night I await for Your move
Do make haste my God.
Then Lord move, make the impossible happen,
But please, my Lord, do nothing out of Your will
For be it in pleasure or suffering,

Monarchy in Germany
by Die Prinzen
Monarchy in Germany,
Monarchy in Germany,
Monarchy in Germany,
Monarchy in Germany,
Holland has the Beatrix, but we Germans have nothing.
Karl Gustaf knows that all the Swedes talk about their king.
In London, a pilgrimage to the Queen, for that you search in Berlin.
The Spaniard knows the real boss sits on the throne, is called Juan Carlos.
Also Mette Marit can be praised and raised to the nobility.
But we are fed up, that Germany has no Kaiser!
Even the Japanese are smarter and we have only Beckenbauer.
Monarchy in Germany, no discussions!
Monarchy in Germany, that´s our vision!
Monarchy in Germany, is no illusion!
Monarchy in Germany, the nation will be happy!
So today we will treat ourselves and crown ourselves as Kaiser,
because we thought that has already done Napoleon.
We must avoid Waterloo else the people won´t love us anymore.
We carry on the head a crown govern the West and the Zone.

One boy after another that
treated her like she was a speck of dirt under his boots
Friends that look through her like a pane of glass
A frizzy redhead wearing glasses
that used to be her friend and sister that
now looks and speaks about her with disdain,
wouldn't even spit in her general direction
Relatives, endless relatives, that could care less
what her name is and their bond to her by blood
She's been trapped in an iron cage,
soaking in temperatures colder than the Antarctic
Looking at the world with a hopeful smile,
tears glittering at the edges of her beautiful eyes
She held on for so long
She tried so hard, over and over and over again
No matter how much happened to her,
she still believed in the grace and goodness of God
Religion was what kept her looking towards the sun
And, the most I could give her was a hug and three dollars...
I'm stuck here
a person that she called best friend and...

My Second Best FriendMy second best friend sat at a computer, viciously typing. I plopped myself into the chair a little south and directly right of him, and watched carefully. This, of course, was an important exercise to me, just watching the human mind think. I didn't tell him I was taking notes in my own. He wouldn't understand why I was so fascinated. My Second Best Friend3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
My second best friend would pause every once in a while, look up and out into a place I don't see but he seemed to. His fingers would tap: against a table, against teeth, against each other, and every once in a while, they'd grip long, red haired. His hair's on fire. It clashes terribly with his sometimes blue, sometimes grey, sometimes green eyes. He wears flannel like it's a religion, and his jawline is odd compared to his 5' 4'', 110 pound stature.
"Read this." He put his hand out to a little black box, and it shot white paper with fresh black ink out. He snatched it up and handed it to me.
"Jesus. That was fast."
"It's a good printer."

She's got one headphone in and the other hangs limply. "Its broken," She says, smirking. "Like I'm gonna pay for headphones. I find em, and they work, then I'm gonna use em!"
Oh yeah. Colette's used to crap.
Mom laughs. "Its not worth it to you to buy new ones?"
"Nah. Just cant afford it." Its lighthearted. Mom lets it go.
"They're closing that KFC..." Colette points out when we drive by. I dont have to look to know she's grinning ear to ear. Vegetarians (at least the one i know) are prideful.
"You kidding me?" Mom says. I haven't said much at all. "What are they making it into?"
"Probably a Starbucks with a drive-through."
Mom and I groan in unison. "Serious?"
"Yup! And you know, I do love my peppermint mochas, but that makes about 7 Starbucks'

I see a light from above, and a feathered dragon comes to me. around me, a fire is green.
I'm sweating, cold sweat, I do not overheated, ... I froze
A voice: "you are the chosen", "we nedd you", "you fulfill your destiny".
"You will have who teaches you". Then I felt a terrible cold in my arms and body.
"You will be our great warrior", "you will save our world"
"YAOTL ISTIK", !warior of the ice!.
I pull down with a sore, and my arms grew a bit, my fingers hurt and turned me black, also grew, and became dark glass, my eyes hurt. Some peaks out of my arms, I feel my body on fire, but an uncontrollable cold.
I scream ... but my scream was returned as a loud roar and fearful and do not stop.
My eyes brightened and became very strangely
, my body change, and my feelings.
and in that moment, I saw a shadow emerging from the green fire, it was a girl, felt no fear, and comes to me, and she said me:
"I'll be with you"

Losing EdenAre humans angels with their wings ripped off?Losing Eden2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
As I lay here, some part of me longs for the Garden of Eden
I can hear Gaea's beating heart under the grass and the soil, sighing in her beauty
Your heart beats in rhythm with hers; your face is calm, so serene
Neither of you knows what sort of pang Echo felt in her depressed obsession with Narcissus
Please don't be that kind of man with me
As wonderful as Gaea is, she can't create anything like the Garden
Here, she's so close and it'd be so easy to be lulled and conned into Earthly delight,
but, as a personal request from me, don't give in
The air's full of fruit and flowers
Birds fly overhead and sing songs I could never translate
As the golden sun shines down and brightens everything,
I crawl closer to you and feel your hot breath on my neck,
and you probably feel the salty tears running down my cheeks onto your bare chest
Since we're so bound to each other, you probably realize how bitter I am
I'll try not to be selfish: I can hear the

I always looked up to you;
you were my freaking hero,
my knight in shining armor,
a paragon of perfection
Every day I tried so hard
to follow in your footsteps,
picked myself up when I failed,
kept going and going
Every night I had dreams
of finally meeting you face to face,
being a part of your team,
standing next to you
You were the sun
and I was Mercury,
my orbit based around you,
fighting gravity in
my desire to be next to you
Now I'm there,
I'm next to you
but you've barely said
three words to me while
I've poured my heart to you
Your head is so high up,
buried in the clouds
that you can't see
anything else below you
You'll never see anything,
anyone, nothing else
other than yourself and
what makes you "great"
I hope nobody else
makes the mistake I did
Falling in love with you,
idolizing you and
basing my life around you
was the worst thing
I've ever done in my life
I wonder what I ever saw in you...
You're just shallow,
a major narcissist and
you don't deserve

Last night I had a dream about you
In this dream I'm dancing right beside you
And it looked like everyone was having fun
the kind of feeling I've waited so long
Don't stop come a little closer
As we jam the rythm gets stronger
There's nothing wrong with just a little little fun
We were dancing all night long
The time is right to put my arms around you
You're feeling right
You wrap your arms around too
But suddenly I feel the shining sun
Before I knew it this dream was all gone
Ooh I don't know what to do
About this dream and you
I wish this dream comes true
Ooh I don't know what to do
About this dream and you
We'll make this dream come true
Why don't you play the game ?

All around us as we walk hand in hand,
Playing silly little games,
Skipping over small rocks,
Jumping from one square to the another.
Giggling and whispering to each other,
Kisses here and there,
As our faces get wet from the skies tears.
We laugh and giggle.
Going on out into the wonderful rainy day.
Happy and together,

The heart ticks along with the clock
For they are intertwined to one another
Incidentally clocks soothing rhythm has stopped
The chest contracts leaving the brain stopped
So finally the beat of the beating clock has gone
The brain yet continued on
Thoughts have not come to term
That there is no pain
Blind for there is no sight
There is no light coming from these eyes no more
Gently covered over the touch that is no longer felt
Eyes once more closed at an endless dream
Founding fathers by Ayn Rand"The basic premise of the Founding Fathers was man's right to his own life, to his own liberty, to the pursuit of his own happinesswhich means: man's right to exist for his own sake, neither sacrificing himself to others nor sacrificing others to himself; and that the political implementation of this right is a society where men deal with one another as traders, by voluntary exchange to mutual benefit."Founding fathers by Ayn Rand3 years ago in Profiles More Like This

Gift From The BenchGift From the BenchGift From The Bench4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Every morning he would wait on that same bench, under that same tree, reading the same page of the same book that missed its cover. Though everyone knew of him, no one could feel anything from him. The wind blew past him, carrying a scent that soothed those that smelled it. As you approached, sound be came clearer, the sun seemed warmer, the wind seemed softer, and all you could say was "beautiful day". And he would smile behind thin-rimmed glasses. No matter the troubles that plagued up to this morning, they fell under the touch of his smile.
It was like he was always there. As the trees that grew from the grass and the sun that came from the surrounding stars. Undisturbed and symbiotic with the scenery that no one would notice. It was on this morning, however, that the symbiosis was broken.
The bus arrived as it always did on a Friday, students submitted to its
