When I post an artwork on a fucking WEBSITE DEDICATED TO ART, I expect some fucking artistic critique, some discussion about technique, tips for improvement, all that fancy art jazz. Even when it's fandom-related, and natural to talk about those points, I sort of expect people to respect the artist.
But noooo... The dA 40k community gets more atrocious during the day and I feel more and more ashamed to be a part of it.
Becuase like, 50% of feedback that I get on my 40k art isn't about the artwork, or the characters there, no, it's fucking stupid X FACTION IS COOLER, FUCK YEAH X FACTION! MY FAVE FACTION BEATS UR STUPID FACTION N CHARACTERS! (ADD SOME STUPID OUTCRY FROM THE LORE BELONGING TO X FACTION). I get stupid notes and messages like DRAW MORE X, and shit.

The Comfort of Mindless Obedience
When is information true and useful and when is it just “propaganda?” Why in fact is an image or phrase or animated art sequence “propaganda” rather than it simply being a “lie?” What about acceptable lies that define our society as much as they degrade it - - for example commercials that obviously hype a product with untruths or political advertisements full of unachievable platitudes.

The current disposition of the story is as follows: two brothers Tsarnaev of Chechen origin moved to Kazakhstan, then to US. Gained citizenship as political refugees from the bloody Russian regime, got college grants as sportsmen, lived in the US for some time – the older even married an American wife. Their family was also scattered – father stayed in Dagestan.
