Here's my baby, Pippin <3
I'd just made him a Shrinky Dink dog tag which I (totes ingeniusly pff totes) designed to fit The Lord of the Rings in colors and font (haha heck yea!)
I'll post some Shrinky Dink stuff later!
Hehe, he's a lovely anatomy reference too *facepalms* xD
He's not named after Pippin (Peregrin Took), per se, but haha since he shares the name --I figured why not xD?(I'm kind of an Lotr fanatic.
Anyway! He's sleeping at my feet as I'm typing this :3 (precious baby)
SO the story!
So yesterday was when we picked him up :D after a 90 minute drive. He's around 3 months old but no one's sure because his mother was a stray.
He's around 13 pounds (in my attempts to weigh him --had to put him on a box on the scale, lol), and a foot-ish tall (haven't measured him). It's estimated he'll be anywhere from 20-30 p

One day in high school...One day I was in English class we were supposed to do a report on people from the 1930's (I think), and we had the whole library and the internet to get us some info. So the library had one book on the guy that I was chosen to do. So I used the computer to get some info. There was alot of info on the net, I mean enough to do the whole report. Then in the bottom right of my screen, my friend message me on the schools messaging system. I asked him how he done it and he told me that it was the computers number on the back. So I put his in and we were messaging each other. Then all of a sudden the librarian grabbed our shoulders and told us the what we were doing was wrong. So wrong that it could have corrupted the schools entire system (B.S.). So she banned us from all of the computers until the end of the year (Which includes the computer classroom too. wtf?)One day in high school...2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Introduction to Polymer ClayPolymer clay is a modeling compound consisting mainly of polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and plasticizes to make it pliable. How can I have sent you away?
The blame was my own; the punishment, yours
The harmony's silent today
But into the stillness I'll bring you a song
And I will your company keep
Till your tired eyes and my lullabies
Have carried you softly to sleep
Once did a pony who shone like the sun
Look out on her kingdom and sigh
She smiled and said, "Surely, there is no pony
So lovely and so well beloved as I"
So great was her reign and so brilliant her glory
That long was the shadow she cast
Which fell dark upon the young sister she loved
And grew only darker as days and nights passed
Lullay moon princess, goodnight sister mine
And rest now in moonlight's embrace
Bear up my lullaby, winds of the earth
Through cloud, and through sky, and through space
Carry the peace and the coolness of night
And carry my sorrow in kind
Luna, you're loved so much more than you know
Forgive me for being so blind
Soon did that pony take notice that others
Did not give her sister h
Sunday, Day 4 of Comic-ConNo matter how tired your feet are by what is actually Day 5 of Comic-Con, counting Preview Night, no matter how exhausted your body and empty your wallet, there's always a bit of sadness in the air when the last few hours of Comic-Con wind down.Sunday, Day 4 of Comic-Con2 years ago in DeviantArt Announcements More Like This
In the deviantART booth, we witnessed something a little magical when the voice came over the loudspeaker to announce that Comic-Con was closed at 5:00 pm sharp, the remaining straggling attendees and exhibitors packing up stopped what they were doing and burst into applause. It was a mixture of relief, pride, and fulfillment of a successful convention.
Someone yelled, "See you in 365 days!" and there was a true moment of community with everyone in earshot. Sure, it's a sad sentiment, but it gives us all something to look forward to, and the months ahead will be filled with the happy memories of all we accomplished over the past week. Friends met that stop by every year, new friends, new properties to become fans of, new comic books to read and

After thinking a lot... of almost giving up and think that I'm being an idiot doing that I decided to do.
Each day will be a different challenge, which should be released one per day, with a different mission, how to answer questions, browse comments, do things, even if you want to send suggestions, will.
Will end up when I get 10.000 pageviews, when I will make a feature with the deviations which I like most of my watchers.
Each activity will give a number of points and in the end the points will be exchanged for deviantart points.
The first challenge requires a little practice with the math... but it's nothing difficult!
You don't have to be the first
Don't ask me if you win.

Here at CRCommunityProjects, we care about you and the community!
Welcome to our own project, the Mentoring Project!
This project aims to pair users who are experienced with projects and certain communities within dA.
There are many benefits to utilizing the mentoring program! Getting a mentor will help you learn more about your art community niche and how to set up projects and promote them effectively; becoming a mentor will help you do something wonderful for the community. Involving yourself in this project will hopefully lead to many lasting friendships!
This project, however, does not serve to be an art tutor style mentoring project, rather it focuses on the creation on projects, features, contests, groups, and resources!

DA COMMISSIONS: WTF?I wanted to share this post I've seen on Tumblr. As a professionnal artist, I already know that I underprice my commissions. When you are a freelance, a drawing is generally 500€ to 1000€ when you're a beginner. On DA, I generally sell them at 30/50€. What to think about the new commission system, knowing that I'm already leaving my commissions for a low price?DA COMMISSIONS: WTF?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You can easily understand: why do you open commissions then?
Well,I love drawing for other people, and most of commissionners don't even know the real price of a drawing (now you know!). But when I open commissions, this is because I've got the time, because I love to share with commissionners, to know their universe, OCs...and because it helps me to buy new fabric for reenactments too, for sure. But... Well... Shame on you DA! O_o
How can you sell a service for only 0.2/0.4$, knowing that DA takes 20% too?! O_o
It may be a good news for commissionners, but DA, you're killing the artists by making people think that a drawing cos

2 ROCOCO DRESSES FOR SALE!Hello, a friend of mine (Sarah that you have may seen on my reenactments pics ) sells wonderful silk dresses! She needs to make a new dress but had a problem with the fabric shop... she doesn't have enough money to make a new dress (and some room in her wardrobe!), and even if she loves them, she has to say goodbye to these 2 rococo dresses.2 ROCOCO DRESSES FOR SALE!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The pink one has been worn only once, and is ENTIRELY MADE BY HAND. In Pure SILK. Which makes it really really cheap for such a work! You'll never find another Rococo dress so cheap and so historically correct!
The other one is made in silk too, with some fantasy in it, worn only once too for the last halloween! Wonderful for a Halloween Gown !
You can also visit her blog to see the making of these 2 dresses
Take a look at her Etsy Shop! And thanks in advance!

Frequently Asked QuestionsI get asked many questions and it can be hard for me to answer them all, so I have compiled a list of questions which I'm often asked in the hope it is of interest to some of youFrequently Asked Questions2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Where did you learn?
I've taught myself. My Secondary (High) School art teacher told me 'cartoon are not art' and so I had no interest in perusing 'art' classes any further. At about 13 I began to draw every day, less studying, more drawing what came to mind, creating characters and worlds and getting my thoughts and feeling onto paper.
I joined deviantART at 15, and the feedback and critique I've gained through sharing my art online has helped a lot in my improvement. I wasn't born with any 'gift', unless you count functioning hands, I learned through practice. My early drawings are just as bad as everyone elses (I keep them as proof) I a
FYIIf you buy handmade jewelry, it'd be in your best interest to probably not submerge it in water. :/FYI2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Think next year I will have to put a disclaimer in with all my bags regarding that. And the fact that, you know, handmade items tend to be a bit more fragile and should be treated a bit more gently.
This is why I'm moving more and more towards just miniatures. >.<

When I was in fifth grade,
a man followed my brother home.
I remember being on the computer
in the office right by the front door.
At first, it was a frantic knock.
My brother and his seventh grade friends
were quickly getting off their bikes,
my brother telling me to open the door.
I took my time getting up,
thinking they had forgotten their keys.
claiming to be neighborhood watch,
followed my brother and his friends home.
He saw them playing tag on their bicycles
on their own school campus,
yelled at them for trespassing,
threatening to call the cops,
and when no police arrived
he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He followed them home.
In his car.
He tailed them, but they saw him.
They tried to avoid him,
but when they got home
he pulled up and got out of his car
and ran up to our front door.
