Such a bizarre look he has, his steps loud and hands warm,
Caring and considerate, yet emotional as humans are,
Something that I do not understand by far,
I do not carry a heart; I do not need one,
I do have a brain, focused on my mission,
I do not have bones or hair or blood,
But I do have eyes, those like the flower bud,
His form continues to breathe; the garb he wears is slack,
In this state, he is weak to attack,
Though the natural light may shine through the trees,
It is the glowing force beneath us that forces him to his knees,
Our contract is as simple in such,
That he does not think about it much,
But I do, every day and every night,
Though I do not have emotion, I have fear for this young knight,
I am the key that turns the lock,
I cannot accompany him as he may walk,
We are both flowers in a field; his is in his soul,
And has taken its fair toll,
I witness his flower, the buds of white,
How clean they are, how bright,

My anguished scream tore through the chamber, echoed by Ashton's cries of pain.
"LINK!" I struggled wildly against Nassir, forgetting his previous threats as my terror consumed me.
Then the dark portal orb suddenly pulsed with light, and three more figures appeared in the room—Impa, Darunia, and Nabooru.
"Help him!" I cried. Impa had already vanished, but Nabooru and Darunia rushed to Link's side. Before Nassir could interfere, I whipped the knife from my wrist and stabbed him in the side. I knew it wouldn't kill him, and how it harmed Link hardly mattered anymore.
He gave a startled cry and loosened his grip on my neck, allowing me to break away and rush toward Link. Nabooru and Darunia had tentatively taken his arms, supporting him. They looked up as I ran toward them, clearly unsure how to help him.
"Zel—da—" Link struggled to speak between short, shallow gasps as I dropped down beside him.
"Shh," I soothed,

Chapter 1: A Bitter Hero and a Lonely Sage
It was warm inside the tavern. People, travelers, taking shelter from the storm outside were laughing, enjoying ale and stories. The door opened, and with it a rush of cold and a peal of thunder, to reveal a boy.
The boy looked no older then 13, wearing a green tunic and hat. His dark blond hair seeming to frame his face. On his back one could see two swords, and a shield. His face held a look which some of the men recognized. A look of bitterness, resentment, the look of one who had seen too much death and had lost too much. Many of then men thought the boy was too young to have such a look on his face, and wondered what hells the child had been through.
The boy walked up to the counter and placed two blue rupees upon it." A room for the night please." he said, his voice lacking the innocence that most children that age had.
The owner of the inn looked at the boy, his apperence, despite seeming harmless,

"He's awake," I heard, trying to recall what had happened. I sat up and saw the two fairies, Tatl and her brother Tael, hovering over me. I turned and saw the Skull Kid gazing up in wonder. Following his stare, I saw the Four Giants, the great monsters that had saved my life.
"You...you hadn't forgotten about me?" Skull Kid asked, looking down in shame.
One of the monsters spoke in a deep groan, but somehow, we could all understand what it was saying. "No."
"You still thought of me...as a friend?"
The monster said nothing. For a moment, they all stared in silence, until three of them turned and headed back to their respective dwellings. The remaining giant raised its head high in the air and sang the Ode to Order. I remembered that, back when I had first learned it, the giant had asked me to help his friend. I realized just now that Skull Kid must have been it. After he had sang, he went back into the swamp, one hundred steps south.
Tatl and Tael remained near me for a while, then flew

I watched him from the shadows of the Temple of Time, admiring his strong, composed stance. Night had fallen, and the gentle torchlight illuminated his figure, softening the starch white of his clothing. His loose, plain tunic lacked any kind of decorative stitching, and a white sash had replaced the usual belt. Such humble attire had been specially made for this very occasion, when Link faced the judgment of the Three Golden Goddesses themselves.
This was his Rite of Kingship, the first and most important step toward coronation.
He had formed a mental barrier to help him focus completely on the ceremony, so while I could not sense his thoughts, and though he showed no outward sign of it, I knew he was nervous—very nervous. Months of battling his inner darkness had wounded Link's confidence and left him questioning his worth. Even despite the Council's unanimous decision to conduct the Rite of Kingship, Link had found little sleep the previous

From hearts of young to hearts of old
Link's adventures will be told
In our hearts it's set in stone
In our minds the name is known
The legend flies from near and far
Makes no difference where you are
At some point you must have heard the name
As many others play this game
Around us all for many years
The name alone can spread some cheer
The magic holds onto our hearts
Truly is a work of art
Speak it loud for all to hear
Say it to all that are near
We will always remember it's name
The Legend of Zelda is a magical game.

He sighed. As if on cue the wind blew his hair back, revealing a pair of glowing green eyes. Though it was long past dusk, the nighttime sky was only just beginning to flicker with awakening stars. He looked up and rubbed his bandaged shoulder. Even though he was branded with the mark of a hero, his heart was that of a lover. But would she know that?
Link Theodore Prydain, Hero of the Winds and bearer of the Triforce of Courage, wasnt so sure.
Slowly walking on the scruffy deck of The Endless Journey, he paused to taste her name. Tetra. It was a name that used to fill his head with fear, and he still sometimes shivered at its mention. But now it filled Links heart with something far more powerful, something that he could only struggle to describe.
Who was Tetra?
Shes a friend, and captain of this pirate crew. Links superior on this ship and occasionally superior in combat. Tetra could beat a full-grown man

Well, not actually.
Part of my story,
It's so annoying!
But I have to keep going,
what was and am I doing.
I have to keep walking.
But still there's that question on my mind.
Give me a sign!
I bet someone hears!
What did I miss in seven years?
How many tears?
How many happy and joyful cheers?
The faces I knew,
now almost new,
and I speak true,
I feel myself stranger too.
Is there nothing to do!?
I'll beg to give back that time!
Every single day and night!
For those years I will seriously fight.
I know the goddesses hear!
Give back my every single year!

Your five-year-old son, (s/n), came running into the kitchen and tackled your legs, embracing them in a tight hug. Looking up with a cheerful grin on his face, he asked you in an excited voice.
"What are you doing, mommy?"
Turning your head slightly to the side, you looked down at the little tyke and smiled instantly upon seeing the cute expression on his face.
"I'm preparing two lunch boxes, one for you and one for daddy."
"Ohhhh! Are you going to add cookies to my lunch box?"
Standing up on his tiptoes, the young child tried to peer over the kitchen board, wanting to see how you were making the food, but failed miserably because the kitchen furniture was way too high for him to reach.
You chuckled to yourself as you glanced at your son who was now pouting with his rosy cheeks puffed out and his small arms crossed over his chest. Putting down the kitchen utensils you were using, you turned around to your son and crouched down to his level before poking his cute

The White Goddess bowed down and took the cold skinned hero in her arms. She could not hear the man's heart beating anymore. The Goddess spoke to him softly. Explaining the hero's destiny. Explaining his painful life full of suffering.
Even she knew, Link wouldn't hear.
A sparkling tear rolled down the Goddess Hylia's cheek and dropped on the face of the hero. The goddess regretted her choice. Her people were saved now, yes, but she had sacrificed a very good man.
The man she had loved the most of her people.
The man, she still loved.
The man, who had loved her back.
Another tear dropped.
A tear of the Goddess.
"I will ensure that your gentle, heroic spirit will live on eternally..." she quietly promised to her hero while more tears fell down.
Drip, drop. Drip, drop.
The silent cry of the Goddess.
Her voice had turned only to a whisper. "And I..." she said, "I shall shed my divinity. The next time we meet, I wish to stand before you as a simple human..."

And you, Link, fight the monsters there (the monsters, monsters, monsters)

Her strong, red eyed stare,
No more than a shadow, afraid of bright light,

‘Want to go outside? Are you all done here?’
Her voice asking, not demanding to my ear,
Stepping forward, disappearing into a portal,

A gasp holds in my throat and the last of daylight shreds away,
A man in a mask, my hidden foe,

The strike took us both and my friend to take,
Restoring the Twilight and me to my other form,

Struggling, she screams, he, taking the Fuse

Grandma was still softly snoring, so as Aryll inched slowly out of bed, she tried to remain as silent as possible, wincing as her feet met the cold floor. Quickly she snatched a white bowl off the table beside the fire. Grandma had left the soup boiling in the pot all night, it seemed, and Aryll was grateful for it. She scooped a generous helping of it into her bowl, shoved her feet in her sandals, and hurried out the door.
It was only barely past dawn. Outset Island still slept, clouds of mist, untouched by the sun, settled over the village. A shiver went through Aryll, and she briefly considered going back inside, rejecting the idea promptly. Stepping as quietly as possible, Aryll followed the path down, over t
