I didn't know whether to put this in Fanart (since it's Star Wars), but I figured that since it's an original char it can go in Sci-Fi. Anyway, this little chica is Saida Kurassa, my Star Wars character for a campaign my boyfriend will be running for me once I finish my background info on her. This is her when she's about seven years old, and in a rather compromising spot.
The front and the back of my Ezio doublet and under tunic. The sleeves are attached to the tunic, the left one needs some black lines. Also, I have not found the right red fabric yet, hopefully I will soon!
So this year at Anime Central, my boyfriend and I dressed up as Lilith and Mordecai - we actually won Best Group, too! For those of you not familiar with ACen, it has over 20,000 attendees, so to win anything there was a shock!
I had planned to have a Claptrap, but I ran out of time...he's a heap of materials in a box right now. (Quick, find a repair kit!) We'll probably be going to Youmacon in Detroit and rewearing these, so I'll definitely have one then - along with a Roland and Brick that I'm going to be working on. We love these too much not to wear them again!
At a con as huge as ACen, it felt amazing to win an award, but the community for Borderlands was really representing, and that was the best part for me. We've been addicted to this game since it came out...literally, we play nothing else. So it was awesome to meet so many other people who feel the same. On Saturday we actually asked each person that took our picture what class they played and kept track... Sirens FTW! (:
There's more specific costume info about Lilith here and Mordecai here for those of you that want to check that out.
Credit to Alicia for the photo... We have professional ones, but they don't show off our glowing parts. (:
My friend ~Seattle-Cosplay is a brilliant cosplayer and fashion designer. Last year she decided she wanted to cosplay as the concept art version of the wizard from Diablo III. It's a very detailed costume with many intricate parts, so I teamed up with her to help her make her all of the props and accessories.
These are some of the custom charms and jewelry I made for the belt. I sculpted them first in paperclay, made molds and cast them in polyurethane. I colored them with gold leaf Rub-n-Buff so they're super metallic in person.
Darth Vader, James T. Kirk, Mr Spock, Boba Fett. Taken at C15 Milton Keynes yesterday.
'm Kirk & is Acting Captain Sulk.
We had this hilarious friendly rivalry going on between us and the Stormtroopers.
Stormtrooper: *Takes Phaser* My gun's bigger. Kirk: Yeah, but mine can do more. ;D Stormtrooper: You've got something on you *point* Kirk: Huh? Wha-- Stormtrooper: *flicks nose* Kirk: :/ Try that again and I'll bite it off. >xP
~Gemzus has the best picture of us with the Stormtroopers to follow P; And one of us with a Dalek! *As well as pictures proving who won in the end xD
I've been working on a James Kidd cosplay for Katsucon (who hasn't, eh?) and just wanted to show you the progress I've done. Due to work and veterinary school interviews sucking up all my free time, all I've had time to do was make the wig look somewhat decent and to do a quick makeup test (and by quick, I mean smearing my eyeliner off and making my brows thick).
Please not that I'm aware the scar is on the wrong side, I did this at about 2 A.M. and inadvertently reflected it through the mirror. This is also, by no means, the final makeup/wig/sash look.
Just thought I'd show you a quick heads up while I'm in the process of buying the super expensive fabric for Kidd and slowly making Kidd's cosplay. I'm sure I'll be one of many at Katsucon, but Kidd's just a special kind of chap.
I'll be adding beading and some other doo-dads to the wig - Being a tom-boy for 10 years pre-girlishness made me realize that I don't know how to fucking braid. At all. Oops.
Also enjoy the crappy photos taken from my phone. They don't do any quality. Oh, and the head sash? This is just a prototype - it was actually the red waist sash from my first Assassin's Creed costume in my gallery. I'll be making a real sash out of better fabric.
No more holding it in How many years can I pretend Nothing ever goes the way it should No more sitting in this place Hoping you might see it my way Cause I don't think you ever understood That what I'm looking for are the answers To why these questions never go away
I'm so far away I've been changin' but you'll never see me now I'm so far away Now I'm blaming you for everything
