My new cosplay is Reshiia from Scissors Crown by Thores Shibamoto. I love her artworks very much and make new costumes with a great pleasure. Reshiia has four amazing costumes and at first I wanted to make her yellow dress, but realized that many other cosplayers would like to make it too. So, I started making her red dress (you can see it at the end of the novel). All details of the costume and the hat are made by me. Wig styling by *Jannet*. Shoes(probably on the other photo ^^") are made by Yako. Photo by Shaadorian
Cha-No-Yu 2013 Cartoon Show First place! It is first time I ever got a prise, so I'm happy
Armor, big weapons and wings - yeah, that is my thing in cosplay! I am huge fan of League of Legends and Kayle champion - she is not only fun to play at many lanes but also I love her story and relation with Morgana! This cosplay took me 3 motnhs of work. I picked her as my costume for Intel Extreme Masters 2014 Katowice and I am happy to tell you that I won 1st prize in the costume contest!
More from the shoot on the period ship. I love that boat. One of the few shots that shows off the entire costume. All the red flowers at the bottom of the skirt are hand painted on top of the embroidery.
Here's my opus magnum, my most favourite character of all the times, Darth Vader. One month of work, sometimes up to 8 hours a day. Roughly 40cm tall, random fabrics, felt, faux leather, ballpen parts etc. No wire frame. Hand sewn. Based the look mostly on "The Return of The Jedi", the costume references found on 501st website and Sideshow's Darth Vader bust. Not to mention I made some serious research on Sebastian Shaw (the man who played Anakin in the Original Trilogy)
You might say he's a product of a little bet with my mum (or a challenge rather). Back in the day when I was 10 or so I started to make Star Wars dolls. When I was, like, 18, I bought a Darth Vader plush. And my mum was all like "pfff, he looks lame, even you could do it better!" And I was like yeah, how about no---- wait- you are right! I can make it better!
And I did! (although, 3 years later)
I can't even highlight enough how much I love Darth Vader. But, you know, Darth Vader from the good old times; when he was an all powerful weirdo in a robot suit choking people all around xDI wanted to create a doll of a character as I remembered as a kid. I don't care about canon, so my Vader might as well have eyebrows^^ (screw logic! asbestos eyebrows ftw!) For so many years Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker looked like that in my mind that I can't even try to change that image. So I made this doll the way it is. And I really like it this way!
Star Wars logo belongs to Disney. I think.
And here I'd like to dedicate this doll to the great talent that was Ralph McQuarrie, without whom my imagination wouldn't be as wild as it is and without whom we wouldn't have our Dark Lord^^ Also to John Mollo, who made McQuarrie's drawings real as costumes. To David Prowse, the man who bore the weight of Vader's armour. To James Earl Jones and his amazing voice acting. To Bob Anderson, an Olympic swordsman, without whom Vader's fighting skills wouldn't be the same on screen. And finally to Sebastian Shaw, for giving Vader heart of a man instead of a machine. They all made Vader the way he is remembered, so all a fan can say is 'thank you' for your hard work you put in creating one of the greatest characters in film history!
___________________________ Many thanks to lovely for suggesting this vile bastard and for feature!
____ Update! (I'm George Lucasing stuff! Pray I don't alter anything further) -fixed some scars, especially around the eyes. -made new eyes. Why? Cause I'm Hannibal Chew. And I'm working on another Skywalker so I wanted to tie everything up. They are more blue/grey now.
I will be wearing the costume again at the Elf Fantasy Fair April 21th and 22th (Netherlands).
Currently I'm working on my graduation film Gliese 581! It will be a Science Fiction film and we could use some help te realize the movie. So please check out the links below to find out how you can help:
