A TICKLISH FAIRY TAIL
Lucy Heartfilia, sat on the towel as she stared at the water on the beach. Her bikini top was orange with tiger stripes. Rather than make every mans' nose bleed at the sight of her totally exposing a lot of skin, she wore some shorts that were dark red, with a belt. She smiled, and lowered her eyes as a few guys passed by, their faces growing redder than her shorts. Okay, there's not much wrong with getting the guys to do what I want with my natural talent.
The warm air felt so good against her soft pink skin. Lucy wrinkled her toes in the sand, and giggled as a jogger nearly tripped over his legs. "Nice day, isn't it?" she asked with a sly wink.
"Well, um yeah," he stuttered, trying to hide his blushing face. The young blonde giggled fiercely at him, and ran her fingers through her hair. "Um, would you like me to rub some sunscreen on," he gulp

Today, I was asked for donations for points on Deviantart.
The goal of the persons involved was, and I quote,
"1. Giving Premium Memberships to other deviants!
2. Give small amounts of points to those in need!"
As a "benefit" to this, the donator is treated to llamas and up to 50 faves and 3 deviantwatches, depending on how much they donate.
I have some simple questions regarding this, which I'm sure other people will be interested in, thus I am doing it in this format rather than just keeping my response as a note: There are some absurdly important issues that need to be addressed.
Firstly, why are points considered a "need?" They're completely intangible.
One could argue, "a person 'needs' a subscription." I'm afraid that the person arguing this point really needs to figure out priorities, and to do so...
Let's break down the definitions of "Want" and "Need."
Want : verb (used with object)
to feel a need or a desire for; wish for:
Bliss from the Unsent | Seymour/TidusDuring the sunrise, the young Blitzball Player gradually opened his eyelids, revealing his vibrant blue hues. Had he been unconscious? He appeared to be inside Macalania Temple, but he did not remember travelling there. He only remembered the time he had a game of Blitzball with Wakka, for fun, and that was yesterday. But now he is inside a temple? It had probably been a kidnap, or even an unexpected nightmare which had ended up being the truth, nobody was here, none of the other guardians or even the young summoner herself. This place was empty, nobody appeared to be around. Tidus could feel a frosty breeze, seeping through the bolted doors ahead, and running up his spinal column, even his flesh.Bliss from the Unsent | Seymour/Tidus10 months ago in Romance More Like This
"Is anybody there?" A sudden yell drained from between his pale lips, but nobody had answered; only the calm airstream could be heard, softly tapping the glass of the temple’s windows. But then, another yell had escaped from the back of his throat, becoming much louder, "Yuna... Au

From touchdown in Atlanta it is obvious I am, so to speak, no longer in Kansas.
I am asked what I am doing here. Repeatedly, and not always in a nice way. I want to answer with the obvious, that I am queuing endlessly for the privilege of being cross examined by an unfriendly customs officer who wants to know all kind of private details my best friend doesn't even know, but I swallow it back and smile meekly, while trying to act like I am not nervous, frustrated and insulted.
Procedures, waiting lines, probing questions, stamps and signatures, and then, finally, the liberating "Enjoy the United States".
I never felt more alien.

I just want my love.
America amuses me.
This first meeting scratches only at the surface. I encounter all the clichés and smile inwardly: the food portions, the convenience stores, the SUVs.

I'm not a song.
You can't replay me.
You played me once.
Then got tired of me.
Your like a deck of cards.
You get played.
However you play people.
Making them give some,
The some more.
Until it's gone.
They can't give anymore,
so then then throw you away and leave.
You don't like that,
Yet you do it to others.
It's like your a Jack of Hearts.
Going around and playing with hearts.
Me on the other hand,
I am not just a normal song.
I have soul and a strong will.
Yes, I can be manipulated into something else,
But that doesn't change the fact that I am a song.
But you Jack or Hearts found me,
Didn't change me.
You heard me.
I hoped you liked it,
Because you Jack have heard my truth.

The chains hang heavily on his wrist, but for Lews they are almost light as he stares from one princess, her mane shining with the hues of the rainbow but those violet eyes boring holes into him and then at the second princess, who sips placidly at her cup. But even there, how Nightmare Moon regards him, it sends a shiver down his spine. His heart is thumping wildly and there is sweat beading over his skin and brow. His tail swings back and forth, feet scraping at the floor restlessly.
"Please do stop that," says Nightmare Moon in an almost bored voice. "The royal carpets cost a fortune."
"Sorry," says Lews, but impulsively continues to scratch at the carpet.
"You had best get on with what you are to say sister. Our carpets will not last long against clawed feet."
Celestia growls, making Lews stand cold, eyes wide and breath catching. She stares at him, her wings flaring wide and curls them back, only slightly. "My sister has told me of your

Miria walks through the cold snows, her boots sinking to the knee in the frigid element. She lets her head hang low, thinking how desolate and devoid it had been back then, many years ago. Now, with the snows layering the grounds the look is no more welcoming.
Then again, she thinks, this is the time when she’d had to kill Hilda as an awakened being. If she’d only known. But she hadn’t.
Miria grits her teeth, fist clenching, long hair whipping at her face, leaving light marks with the blasting wind. Ophelia.
Ophelia the blood lusting. Ophelia the mad. Ophelia, who had been their captain at the time of the assault. She had led their attack on Hilda and not informed Miria of it. Hadn’t told her who it was, that she could have prevented it. But she hadn’t. Miria had attacked as if the being had been a regular awakened. And attacked without mercy or thought. If she’d known...

Silently I stared at the black abyss that was my prison cell. It seemed endless, just like the time I knew I had to spend in this wretched place. I was convinced I was going to be here forever.
I could not recall how many days had passed, I had long stopped counting. It seemed pointless. People probably forgot about him all together, or they simply wanted to forget and neither could he blame them.
Past memories had all but faded in my thoughts. Many years of incarceration had left me brittle and vulnerable. Once I had been the most powerful being on this planet, convinced of my supremacy and that nobody could cast me down, but now I have been reduced to this, a broken shell.
Strange visions clouded my muddled thoughts. Could they be memories? I did not know. I could not recall anything from before my incarceration. The only thing that was certain, is that I was losing my grip on reality. I could not see this as something terri

Snow covered Gotham City like a wet blanket, heavy and cold. Chilling the bone. It was late, dark to the eyes. No stars were to be seen under the dense color the night sky provided. The only stirring came from the upstairs bedroom of the Knightly home. Small, round, curious light blue eyes searched her room for a moment as though she had awoken from a dream and thought it to be real. She frowned to herself, as though cast in thought. A tree branch outside rustled against the house like a slight flick as though it were reminding her of what time it was. Very late for a little girl to be up. But the eight year old did not obey such terms and got out of bed. She went to her bedroom window, eyes searching the snow outside as though she had forgotten something out there. Something about the mysterious night caught her attention. An odd thing too as she had never once woken up at this hour before unless to use the bathroom. And rarely did that happen.
But the little gi

"Something's not right", Yin thought to herself as she stood in front of the the television that was sitting up in the corner of the ceiling of the office. It's support was a built in shelf. The remote to the TV clutched in her hand as she held her arms loosely crossed across her chest. "A break in at Arkham and no answer for it. Nor the disappearance of the inmates", her mind had been working around the clock the past couple of days. None of it made sense. At least Ethan's escape from the institution had meant something. He had yet been found however. "Not like he wanted to be", She told herself as this thought crossed her mind. However her thoughts stalled only a second later.
"Alright, Cash has one coffee with two sweetners and one sugar and one regular coffee with just two sugars", a voice spoke up a few seconds later.
Yin let a rather amused smile cross her lips as she turned to her partner, "Please tell me both of those are caffeinated".

YOKO'S TICKLISH TUMMY
This is a request. The character is Yoko Littner/Rittona from the series Anime Gurren Lagan. I'm not really familiar with this series, and only once twenty seconds of a fan made video for it on you tube so Yoko might not be totally in character. I did read up on her in wikipedia, and what I saw on the video, I think fits how I'll be writing her, but if nothing is canonical I truly apologize.
Yoko muttered and rolled on the bed, her muscles sore. Slowly she managed to open her eyes, but shut them just as quickly as she opened them as light oozed in from everywhere. The red headed woman swore and shook her head. What had happened? She'd been on the hunt of a gunman, when something struck her from behind.
She cursed. Her head hurt. But the air around her was remarkably cold. What was she laying on, a slab of some kind? Marble? Yoko did not li

They all say the same thing.
They try to appear noble. They say the game is sexist. That Samus' character has been derailed.
But I have played the game, and the entire series enough to know that they are wrong.
How do I know?
Because I have examined the games and Samus' character.
Or lack thereof.
Because I know that if Samus is to be a feminist icon, she must be willing to take responsibility for her actions, and thus be an equal instead of a superior..
Because I know that losing someone or something you care about is never easy, and something you never truly "get over."
Because as the son of two army veterans, I know the idea of a woman following a man's orders is simply a boss/subordinate relationship.
Because as the grandson of a Vietnam veteran, I can have an idea of how reminders of trauma can bring back painful memories that will never leave you.
But apparently "Elephant in the room", a shallow, superfici

She had been waiting by the fence of barbed wire for a short while now, and she started to feel a slight chill running along her flesh, perhaps she should have dressed in a little more than a greyish cardigan to keep her warm, which appeared to be quite thin in material.

The water of the sewer's river seemed to sparkle against the gritty cobblestone walls, making shadows of everything that passed by. It was very damp and smelled of a stench that no word could possibly describe. The water had an eerie darkness to it and rushed slower here than outside, confined against the walls that tunneled along side it. But the water seemed to make the place cold and along with the stone all around, it was less bearable than the snowy world above. It was as though this place was it's own world. Having it's own smell, color, sounds. Pipes moaned from creaky winds that were passing by and some sewage dripped down from small crack's in the ceiling. Indeed, this was no place for a small child. Her slippers made a 'shuffling' sound against the gritty sewer walkway as she continued to follow the figure she'd caught sight of near the entrance.
The eight year old's curiosity grew immensely further, despite her shivering from the cold, the chatter

You are far, far away from here
You don't even think about me
I'm alone, so weak and crying
I'm thinking about our love
What can I do to have you back right now?
I don't know when you come back
I don't know are you still alive...
I don't know - just don't know -
How can I live without you now?
The days are going so long
and make me suffer
I don't remember how to smile...
Can anybody understand me?
I want to see you again -
smiling at me and saying:
"Everything will be all right"
Sometimes it's hard to live further
Especialy when You aren't next to me...
There is no one who give me a hand
No one who can restore my smile back...
No one by you...only you...
And I miss you darling -
much more that you can wonder...
I'll be waiting - for Sun in my life again

Instead of going straight back to her apartment like she usually normally would, Erin Knightly detoured towards near the heart of Gotham. On foot it took roughly an hour to get to her destination but she didn't mind. She knew Gotham's streets and back ways as though she had a map etched into the back of her hand, an invisible memory she had written down. The redhead generally didn't need the wheels of her van to get around unless she had to, relying on herself to navigate where she was going. Although, her specific destination wouldn't need the help of the van, quite the opposite. The van was rather obvious and it being daylight, she didn't need the idea of enemies like the Joker or Mr.Frieze finding her out in the open. She trudged up the small slope of a hill towards Cobblepot manor a few seconds later. The grass over grown in spots, the dirt pathway crumbling away as though it hadn't been patted down and smooth for ages. The iron gate surrounding the homely esta

Lightening soon joined the oncoming rain that sprayed the city like a wild water hose that nobody seemed to be able to control. A powerful wind seemed to fly down from the clouds but anyone who saw it would say it was just another thunder storm. The storm erupted with bangs and sounds that echoed loudly like drums in a sound proof room. The mysterious storm had appeared within moments of the middle of the afternoon, making people run for their cars or indoors quickly. Though nobody batted an eyelash that the storm seemed to be going very quickly as though just passing through the area. Andie Clark in particular was the only human being at the moment who was staring at the storm in question. She was perched on a silver metal chair at a table inside the local Star Bucks. Dressed in a Beetlejuice t-shirt, skinny jeans, travel worn sneakers, a Batman wrist watch on her left wrist, her brown hair pulled back into a messy ponytail and to complete her style, a dark blue sweat

Ellen Yin had decided to take a personal day. Clear her head. She hadn't been back in Gotham a few days and already she wasn't sure what to think. Things were not that exciting around the office as it were. She'd let Tankenson do the field today. Though that's where she wanted to be but at the same time, something was bothering her. Maybe a couple of days of getting her sea legs back and she'd be in a better mood. With this in mind she had gotten up at the crack of dawn, took a long hot shower until she felt the first drip of cold water, dressed in a t-shirt and sweats and decided to plant her feet up on the coffee table while surfing through the TV. A cup of hot fresh coffee in her hand. Though her thirst of being a detective craved watching the news so she flipped between watching some old woman cook a cake and the 8 AM news on channel 9. During a commercial break she had gotten up and found some frozen hash browns, some eggs and some bread to make breakfast. After

Rising to stretch my body, loosen and take the first steps of the day, the effort awakens a muscle memory that remains locked in my body.
Unsettled, I go for a splash of cold water, the tatami cool against my feet. If I don't hurry to the daily cleaning I'll definitely get a scolding from Lady Suwako, so this kind of sleepiness on the job just won't do. At least the slightly bracing coolness has me alert.

Metroid: AmbiguityIn the time since the game Metroid: Other M has been released, people have cried fould on the portrayal and characterization of Samus Aran in said game compared to the other games. They say that they Samus in previous games was a strong, lone wolf, without need for approval, and without fear.Metroid: Ambiguity2 years ago in Editorial More Like This
However, others have claimed that Samus never had a personality before Other M. That what we had was an avatar for the players' egos, with as little characterization as possible to allow us to experience the game first hand. A Mary Sue we could control. That the Samus we see in Other M is flawed, but ultimatey still human and relatable.
If one examines the games and Samus' prior characterization closely, the latter is FAR closer to the truth than the former. There is no character, only an ego avatar that we control. The people who cry character derailment have been lied to. Or to be more honest, they've lied to others, lied to themselves, and they believe every single word of said lies.
