God, it looks like Ludwig tried to make everything to provide his brother a calm, quiet funeral ;________; In an abandoned church. .... I should stop thinking too much, cos now i'm gonna cry a river Eagle on flag is from wikimedia.org Thanks for my friend , who come up with this awesome idea.
By the outstanding , the piece I have been hoping to get made for years, and have always talked about at my Hetalia History panels!
This is a takeoff of the famous painting of Prussian "Iron Chancellor" Otto von Bismarck, sitting with the defeated French Emperor Napoleon III after the decisive Battle of Sedan, at which the superior organizational skill of Prussian Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke, and the awesome Krupp artillery, allowed Prussia to come into its own as a true great power in continental Europe with the defeat of France. This victory set the stage of the winning of the Franco-Prussian War, and subsequently the unification of all the German principalities into the unified German Empire (Kaiserreich), under the Prussian King Wilhelm I, who became its first Emperor (Kaiser) in 1871.
I always wanted a version of this painting with a smug Prussia sitting in for Bismarck, and a dejected France sitting in for Napoleon III, because (a) their natural anime personalities are just perfect for it, (b) I'm of German extraction, so seeing a defeated France is always a pick-me-up, (c) Napoleon III's outfit (with the red poof pants and blue overcoat) already looked a lot like the canonical outfit for Hetalia France, and (d) DeviantArt needs more Hetalia Prussia in a Picklhaube!
P.S. -- Although I won't be doing my "Hetalia History" panel again this time, I will be at Anime Weekend Atlanta in 2 weeks, from September 26-29, giving panels on "Anime Blinded me with Science!", and "Yamato 2199: Great Remake or the Greatest Remake?"... if you're at the con, check them out!
OMG I actually managed to upload the picture on National Hetalia day But anyway, this is my contest entry to #A-Hetalia-Family's Halloween contest. Seeing how I was already planning to make a Hetalia themed halloween picture this year, I decided to join.
To me, the picture turned out pretty nice. I know it's kinda the same setting, as my Halloween drawing from 2011, but I just really like that type of composition for a Halloween picture. I suck at drawing trees though, so yeah... They might look a bit weird. But boy, did this picture took a long time to make... about 18 hours to be exact... I recorded the whole process, so be sure to expect a speedpaint video sometime soon.
So yeah, this picture is basically the Axis and Allies fighting against a bunch of zombies. I decided to put Japan and England in the front, because of obvious reasons >///< OTP = Asakiku In the back we have Italy clinging onto Germany, Canada being Canada = not noticed, America shooting some zombies while hanging from the tree, Russia chasing China up the tree, and France slipping out because he's scared.
