Naruto: Flying without wingsIt felt like there was darkness all around him. He didn't know where he was going, what he was doing. All he could do was keep running. What was happening? Where was he? And why was it so dark? There was no sign of anything familiar. He started to call out, though he didn't know why, "his" name. Maybe hoping in the back of his mind that he would come and save him.Naruto: Flying without wings10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"NARUTO!" The scream seemed to fade instantly. There was no echo.
He collapsed on to what must have been the ground. He couldn't tell. The black-haired boy started to shiver. It seemed too cold.
"I wish you were here..." He murmured, tears trailing down his face. "I wish you were here..."
He glanced up, his vision blurred by tears. He saw a small light, far off in the distance. Sasuke stayed put, it seemed to be coming towards him. In a blinding flash, a figure appeared in front of him. His blonde hair was curtaining a small part of his face. His eyes were filled with empathy, a sad smile on his face.
"Don't cry, Sasuke..." H
Naruto: FireflyIt was one of those nights you only hear of in storybooks. The sky was clear, and seemingly endless. Every star shined like porcelain in its own little area of the sky. It was the ideal night for stargazing, and that's exactly what two boys planned to do.Naruto: Firefly10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Lying on their backs, the cool breeze washed over them. Grassy tendrils tickled their skin, the night entirely peaceful.
"Ne, Sasuke," The blonde said, grinning. "That one looks like a spoon."
"Dobe," Sasuke scoffed, turning to Naruto. "That would be the big dipper."
"The big dipper. It's a constellation," Sasuke explained. "See? Look. There's the handle."
"Oh," Naruto murmured. "It's weird. I mean, who would look in the stars and think, 'Oh, hey, a spoon?'"
The brunette rolled his eyes and laughed a little. "Apparently, you. You're the one who brought it up in the first place."
Naruto blinked, opened his mouth to argue, only to close it again. Damn.
The blonde was soon distracted, as something flickering in the distance c
Naruto: Tears in HeavenA crack of thunder cascaded throughout the land, and a lonely boy felt water trail down the back of his neck.Naruto: Tears in Heaven10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
'The rain is falling, Naruto. The tears of thousands of angels are sweeping the earth... Cleansing it of it's sins...'
(Would you know my name,
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same,
If I saw you in heaven?)
Sasuke Uchiha, hands dug deep into his pockets for warmth, waited. He wasn't sure for what. All he knew was what was around him at that one moment. For in front of him, there was something he knew should not be. There was simply no sense in it. There was a simplistic gravestone, nothing spectacular, nothing unique. And yet, the stoic boy could not take his eyes off the sight. For it was not the stone itself, but what was carved within it.

"No longer a demon."
'Idiots.' Sasuke thought, bitterly clenching his fists tighter. 'He was never your demon in the first place... He was just Naruto... That's all...'
"Hey, Naruto..." Sasuke said, his v
Naruto: Only ifNaruto absent-mindedly gazed out towards the water. The dark skies above him were clearer then most nights. The lake was completely still, resembling a mirror that reflected the stars and moon above him. He casually flung a stone into the water, the image of the moon rippled by the disturbance. He sighed, leaning his head back.Naruto: Only if10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
'The sky's so clear,' he though mildly, 'But the stars themselves look clouded.'
(I run, but only if
Someone can run by my side.)
Stepping to his feet, he wandered around the lakefront. His eyes glazed over, lost deep in thought. Should anyone have caught a glimpse of the blonde, not one of them could have told you what he was thinking. His posture was slouched, walking as if it was a chore, or a bother. Though to some it was. However, this is a particularly strange action for the boy. He was, after all, the Famous- or, rather, infamous -Uzumaki Naruto.
(I smile, but only if
There's no other way to hide.)
There was a reason behind the boy's behavior, oh yes. Bec

Ten Miles North of Quebec It was cold. Very cold. It was the God forsaken type of cold you only find ten miles north of Quebec during a blizzard. That just so happened to be where I was and what I was doing. My warm Southern blood was not set for this type of cold. Not like those French Canadian bastards I was drawing ever closer to.Ten Miles North of Quebec10 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I was walking along a lonely frozen road. My feet crunching in the permafrost; my eyes blinded by snow. I couldn't see more than ten feet in front of me, if even that much. Staying on course wasn't really much of a problem as I checked my compass every other minute. The combined states of boredom and loneliness caused me to check it so often. Christ, did I mention it was freezing cold? 'Cuase it was. Trust me on this.
What I was doing here is a l
