Phew!! It's been forever since I've been on Deviantart!

After two months of slowly working on this costume, it's finally done! I'm gonna do an actual write-up on this costume this time, due to all of the work that went into it!
Photography by: www.andrewdhphotos.com/

Jacket:

The jacket is my own drafted pattern, and then all of the appliques were cut out of this silvery pleather-like stuff and zig-zagged stitched onto the jacket with silver embroidery thread. Although I do similar work for my hoodies, this was a whole new obstacle to tackle @_@ I originally used wig hair for the hair, but it tangled up and got super messy really quick (especially once I added the pendants), so I switched it out for 36"-long fringe that I got here: www.decoratingstudio.com/Trim/…
The pendants are made out of craft foam!

Catsuit:

This was my first time working with stretch fabrics like this since I was in dance-- the cutouts in back should've been more square-shaped, but it was hard enough to even tackle the concept, let along figure out a way to keep a more stiff shape. In the end, it would've prolly involved using a more leathery fabric for the whole catsuit, and since I actually LIKE to be able to move around in costume, I used rubber-coated spandex for the black sections, and lycra for the gray parts. The appliques are made and sewn on the same way as they were for the jacket, except this time I used a stretchy silver!

Hair:

As you can see, I used my own hair-- it's not the perfect style, but I'm always happy when I put my own twist/personality into a cosplay, and I love my hair, so I was okay with this :)

Earrings:

Craft foam!

Guns:

The guns are made out of PVC piping for the barrels, insulation foam for for handle, craft foam for the details, and practically all covered in worbla to make them sturdier. The shoes are repainted $6 boots from Forever 21-- they used to be brown, I think :P I guess you get inventive when you start running out of money! I screwed the guns into the shows with 3" screws, and even E6000-ed them on, just to be sure. The charms on the guns were all the same necklace pendant from Jo-ann's, I just painted them all different.

And there you have it! Lemme know if you have any questions about construction!

So this the Cosplay to my keyblades (.....actually the keyblades were made for the cosplay and not the other way round XD)

I made Sora in Final Form....because of the colours...silver and black, best combo ever XDD

The whole cosplay was made by me and most parts are made of pleather....and the silver parts are gleaming, i love it XDD

It was the most time consuming costume that i've ever made to that time XD....AND the part i like the most are my shoes.....they were made out of nothing, if u believe it or not...no shoes under these shoes XDD

photo was taken at Connichi 09

***********************************************************************************************
This costume was a huge undertaking for me and I was very happy with the results. I designed the pattern for the suit and use a combination of 3 differing spandex vinyls: 4 way shiny black, 4 way black pleather, and a 2 way in grey gunmetal. There is roughly 14 yards of chain on the entire costume.
Each of the 6 hanging moons (2 small, 4 large) were made out of craft foam which was sealed and covered in several layers of acrylic paint.

The guns were my first attempt at a serious weapon prop (Yoko's gun was mostly made of cardboard and duct tape so I don't count that lol) I used a thick foam for the base handle and foam board for all the large details, the barrels are PVC piping (from my Yoko gun!). Joint compound was used to fill in any holes or uneven surfaces and then they were sprayed red. I made all of the smaller details using epoxy clay and hand painted everything either gold or black as needed.

The shoes were also designed by me. I bought a pair of basic pumps and cut off the sides. Then I covered what remained in the shiny black vinyl and made the straps and ankle bands.

My wig was made using a medium base and by constructing a foam core for the beehive, which was covered in loose hair, chain, ribbon (with all hand painted symbols), and sew/glued on to the base.

Please feel free to ask questions of the construction if I left anything out!
