Taru gave a toothy grin beneath his mask and resisted the urge to do a little victory dance. He was a new recruit and this was his first big mission. Eager to impress, Taru couldn't believe his luck when his squadron ran into two male benders late at night. One was a tall, lean firebender while his companion was a shorter, muscular earthbender. Their meeting was by pure happenstance, but Taru was intrigued by the fact that the two benders attacked almost instantly, which meant they had run into Equalist operatives beforeand those members had lost.
The young man's chest tingled with excitement. If his team was able to take these benders out, then they would succeed where others had failed, and if he were able to make a significant enough contribution to the capture, then it would mean a promotion among

The air, thick with tension, sings with with intense desire, the flame of a fire
and among the twirl of the smoke and flame runs the soothing stream of water
that lines the world with the warming yet cruel nature of what is known as love.
Many think that such an emotion is unreal, frightening and crazy
when in reality, it can be something so precious in the smallest grasp, alive and amazing.
But when held wrong, something so strong can become evil and twisted.
The ground moved under their steps, the hair pressed against her face sweaty and twisted,
and in his hand, flickering and vital, a small but powerful lick of fire
of which would normally be of destruction and fear, but in this case, warm and amazing.
"You better watch out," she mused with a grin. "One wrong move, and you're in the water."
"Don't be stupid," he jibed back, grin all too charming. "You beating me would be crazy."
And then they continued through the silly game that they both loved.
They lunged at each other, punching

At first glance, it looked like some kind of political meeting. All the most important people in the world were there: the Earth King, the Fire Lord, the chiefs of both Water Tribes, even the Avatar. However, closer inspection would reveal that this wasn't a meeting at all, but a celebration.
And in the middle of it all, Sokka stood waiting.
The spirit oasis seemed to be the perfect place to get married. It always brought Sokka a feeling a peace and love, especially on nights like this when the full moon was overhead. All his friends and family were around him, each giving him a warm smile. At his feet, he watched as the spirits of the moon and ocean swam in their eternal dance.
Sokka felt something jab him in the ribs. Zuko was standing next to him. "What?" he whispered to the Fire Lord. Zuko just raised his eyebrow and nodded in the direction of the entrance to the

Mako squinted as he was shoved into the room. I hate chi-blockers. The skin on his wrists was rubbed raw from the metal cuffs. They cut into him and blocked his bending. He didn't even want to know how they'd managed that.
"Well, I recognize you." The voice was low and smooth. Amon stood high on a platform with his arms over his chest. "You're a friend of that worthless Avatar's."
"Korra's not worthless," he raised an eyebrow and paced around on the floor. He wondered why the chi-blockers were leaving him alone. "She may be a hothead, but she's not worthless."
Amon shrugged. "Would you mind telling me where she might be?"
"How should I know?"
"Mako!" a voice shouted. He froze.
"Bolin?" he whispered. "Bo?"
"Mako, help me!" Bolin wailed. He was strapped against a wall behind Amon, hands next to his head. He struggled to free himself, but to no avail.
"I'm coming, Bolin!" Mako strained against his shackles and fell to his knees. "Just hang on!" He

"Morality, like velocity, is relative. The determination of it depends on what the objects around you are doing. All one can do is measure one's position in relation to them; never can one measure one's velocity or morality in terms of absolutes."

"Mom! Katara won't stop trying to Waterbend me!"
"Yeah, well, if you weren't tryin' to set my hair on fire I wouldn't have to!"
Korra sighed from where she was sitting, placing aside the baby on her lap to her shoulder so she could give both of her older daughters disapproving looks. "Both of you, stop! Can't you just practice forms peacefully, like your brother?" The Avatar pointed over at the window at her side that presented the picture of her only son standing on the patio, practicing his Waterbending forms without a care in the world, undisruptive unlike his sisters.
The two girls blinked at their mother and then at their brother, before Saki rolled her eyes and opened her hand to reveal a ball of fire forming in her palm, which was sitting dangerously close to a strand of dark hair that belonged to Katara. Feeling the heat at her side, Katara screeched at her mother and then the pair took off again.

But guilt consumed me as I accepted the fact that she was right.
"It's true, isn't it?" she asked. "Yes," I said through gritted teeth. "I'm sorry, Asami. But I can't help it. I love you-you and Korra both," I admitted. "You can't love two at the same time, Mako," she replied.
I shut my eyes tight. She was right. "Mako, I can't deal with this right now. My Dad's in jail and I have watch over the company," said Asami. "I'm sorry. She's a lovely girl. I hope you're happy together," she sighed.

Korra bent some water into her hands from the vents underneath her and shot it fiercely towards the Pro-Bending competitor in front of her, sending them into the last Zone of the arena. Mako was on her right, sending a ferocious, unrelenting barrage of Firebending attacks at his own foe. Bolin was to her left, blasting earth disks at the competitor she was also trying to knock off. This was the final round of their championship match, and they had already knocked off the other team's Waterbender, and the other members of the team were quickly tiring out. There were only two more members to knock off the platform and the Fire Ferrets would win the championship!
This thought made Korra smile to herself as she collected some more water and continued to shoot it at the panicking team member. He was trying desperately to stay on the platform, to avoid falling into the water below him. It was futile, though her and Bolin's synced attacks were too much for him to handle at

Annoyance burned through her veins when she heard a knock on her door. Ignoring the unease that still resided in her stomach, she made her way to the front of her modest dwelling. When she opened the door, Katara was smiling at her. The waterbending master stroked her protruding abdomen.
"Hey, Toph. Going to the council meeting today?"

Makorra - FearThe snow was falling gently, but it was far from cold on the beach where Mako and Korra were practicing fire-bending. The flames they threw at one another kept them warm in the brisk winter air. Grinning mischievously, Korra spun away from a blast of flame, using her momentum to close the distance between them. She anticipated the next strike and ducked under it, sweeping Mako's legs out from under him. She could feel the fire above her head burst hotter for just a moment as the surprise caught him, and then it disappeared completely as he fell to the ground. Almost all of the cabinets were open, and a good portion of what used to be inside them was either spilled out on the counter or broken on the floor. Something on the stove was on fire, and from the look of the oven, whatever was cooking in there had also caught fire at one point.
A voice in Mako’s head told him to just walk away, but instead he just stood there, slowly covering his face with his hand.

The beach came into view through the trees and the two friends could see the Water Tribe ship bustling with activity. A great pile of crates and barrels had been brought up on deck from the hold and a winch and tackle had been set up to lower them carefully over the side to a waiting longboat. A scattering of containers had already been deposited on the shoreline. Water tribe warriors were hurrying about organising the supplies and erecting tents under the scrupulous instruction of Master Bato.
Katara stopped halfway down the beach then called to the soldiers on the deck to stand back. Guessing what she was about to do, they leapt away from the pile of boxes. Katara deepened her stance, took a deep breath and circled her arms through an elegant crescent, feeling the swirl and flow of energy in her body mirrored in the currents of the calm sea. The sea answered her will and a column of water rose and bent in gentle curve over the prow of the ship. The wave delicately s

She dreaded going back home. Once the house had been fully searched, the underground tunnel fully excavated, and the paper work had been filed, Asami Sato was permitted to go back to her lonely estate.
This time there would be no father waiting at home for her. This time there would be no butlers. This time she would come home to an empty mansion full of broken dreams and buried memories. But that was fine by her; the memories could rot in the spirit world for all she cared.
Asami walked the halls, her footsteps slow and heavy with each movement of her long legs. The morning light leaked through the undraped windows- having never been covered since her father flocked to Amon's side. The light illuminated the marble floors and revealed the dust which lingered intimately on the drapes and table tops. Asami sighed as she watched some dust particles ascend to the windows- the sun providing more love than a desolate home.

Mako was trying his damnedest to not pay attention to the perverted leader of the Wolfbats leering at Korra, but he just couldn't. Every few practice punches he threw, he was looking over his shoulder and observing the scene with an obvious glint in his amber irises. Tahno was standing off to the side of the training room with the rest of his group, sending Korra hungry looks as he watched her spar with Bolin, however, she didn't seem to notice, or she was just ignoring him. It was sick, and it was annoying the Firebender to no end for more than one reason than the fact that it was completely inappropriate. He hated that Tahno's mind was racing with such thoughts about his girl or who he considered his girl about Korra.
Though Mako had tried to deny it to himself on several occasions, he felt quite strongly about the Avatar. At first, she had irritated him endlessly, but after they went to rescue him brother together, they began to get along better, and f
