She let the picture burn.
She let the words drown away.
She ignored the waiting stares.
She passed by the gossiping voices.
She smiled proudly.
She walked with confidence.
No, she wasn't perfect,
She never tried to be.
She was done with society,
She could never be what they want her to be.
So, she doesn't have a perfect body.
She doesn't have wonderful clothes.
She's not the 'perfect girl.'
She was finally okay with that.

I panic slightly,
Looking towards the dark.
The darkness calls my name.
Words all harsh and filled with hatred.
"You'll be nothing."
"You'll never be loved."
"You'll always be alone."
I back away,
Trying to get far away.
Soon, the darkness enveloped me,
Bringing tears to my eyes.
It couldn't end like that,
It just couldn't.
Then, I saw you,
Your light shining bright in the dark.
You reached for me,
Looking for my hand.
How could you help?
I was already too far gone.
The harsh voices pounded my head,
Yet your presence stayed.
Your voice was soft,
But still got threw the others.
"You'll be something."
"You'll be loved."
"You're never alone."
My hand found yours,
The evil voices faded away,
The darkness turned to light.
The last thing you said,
Your eyes piercing mine,
"Everyone has darkness in their hearts,
It's up to you to let the light lead the way."

I miss seeing you
I miss you helping me with my counting
I miss hearing your laugh and seeing your smile
Mommy and Daddy told me what happened
I do not understand why you had to go
I’ve been told that your up in a place called heaven now
Your with all of your classmates and teachers
Why didn’t you take me with you big brother
Did you think, I was going to be a bother?
I hope I see you every day big brother
I hope you’ll be back home from heaven in time for christmas!
I’ve already wrapped your present and put it under the tree for you
How far away is heaven?
Mommy and Daddy are crying now.
I don’t understand why everyone is so upset
They act like as if your never coming back
You are coming back, aren’t you?
It’s been 3 days since I’ve last seen you big brother
I finally saw you today!
You came back from heaven
But, you were asleep
You were asleep in this little bed
And lots of people were in the room.
I was amazed that

I lay quietly in the grass,
Counting the stars in my head.
The action gave me peace,
No matter how much chaos I had.
My brain blocked out reality,
Trying hard to ignore it for a while.
I knew I had to face it eventually,
I just wanted a few more moments.
These moments overtook me.
I almost believed they were real.
Then reality sets in and I sigh.
I continued on counting,
Letting the bliss take me.
Just for now,
For this little moment of time,
I was free from the world.
I was in my own blissful world,
Right under the stars.

Frozen tears on her face
Time standing still in its place
She is losing grip of reality
No one cares, no one sees
Just another person walk on by
Seeing the fake smile, the horrible lie
Stuck, trapped behind the eyes of blue
No one will see, not one will show true
Knowing the pain the world can throw
The dozen tears will never go
Never seeing, never sure
The tears are frozen, trapped just like her

The crackling of fear insists
and I simply smile.
The unresolved mistakes
just leave me in a fit of giggles.
My new world beckons me,
pulling me in swiftly.
What I left behind me
is all undoable,
but I'm settled with this.
The broken, off-set world I knew
is behind with my mistakes.
Now I take unsettling steps,
striding towards the unknown.
The light and dark pursue me,
tempting my soul and heart,
but I take the road in between.
The road to dawn.

Falling through the sky,
Heading for my death.
"This is it, I'm done."
The words sat in my brain.
My eyes clamped shut.
Then I hear a voice,
So strong and loud,
"You're not gone yet."
Arms wrapped around me,
Holding me close to them.
I open my eyes,
Gazing around my room.
I quietly whisper,
"Who caught me?"

I cry out my endless pleads
and pray to God for help.
I crawl upon this unknown path;
no guardian is about.
I have no hand to guide me,
nor a smile to calm me.
Just as I begin to wither,
my heart beats louder,
chiding me to go on further.
My lonely heart, beaten from so much,
leads me on and on,
though it's tired itself.
Here on this dark, cold road
lies my days to come
and I must face them alone.
I have no aid because
I took the road less travelled;
the one to the complete unknown.
What awaits me?
That'll have to wait
for my own eyes to see,
but my hope knows it's sanctuary.

But it's not that easy.
You broke me down.
You chose her over me,
Without saying anything.
You see that burned bridge?
You need to rebuild it.
It isn't as easy as,
"I like you, I want you."
You made me cry,
You made me scream.
It isn't going to be easy,
But you can start with,

I open my arms,
Letting your warmth fill me.
I smile into your chest.
Your name slips off my tongue,
Yet it was mumbled and not truly heard.
You pull slightly away,
Both hands on my face.
Bright green eyes meet my hazel ones,
A secret agreement made.
Your lips on mine,
Love flowing through us both.
I pull away and ask,
"Why do you love me?"
You smirked and answered,
As if it was obvious,
"Because you're you and no one else."
When my eyes open to the morning sun,
I swear I feel your invisible lips,
Still tingling on mine.

You’ve been beaten down,
torn apart and thrown away,
and forced to build this wall.
Maybe two different stories,
two different places,
yet these walls remain around us.
They’ve been torn down
over and over again,
just to be rebuilt.
Now we sit behind these walls,
hoping someone will come
and break it down for us.
Why do we wait, though?
Why not break it down ourselves?
We have always been able to,
yet we sit and wait.
So much lurks on the
outside of our walls.
So much hurt,
so much trouble,
but also so much happiness.
We’ve been waiting,
but were we waiting for a hero
or to be our own heroes?
Maybe our destinies crossed
not to meet in the middle,
but to finally show each other
that we can be our own heroes.

So keep quietly talking.
When you're done,
Knowing it's all off your chest.

Saying, "I'll never tell,
Cross my heart and hope to die."
Your dirty little secret is safe inside.

Just drowning on air, suffocating on necessities
Waiting on something, anything to pull her up
Waiting for a god, or an angel at best
A fantasy of a man with golden brown hair
Fair skin and an angel like face
Passionate love, forever wrapped in lust
A cloak of down, with the power to fly
This poor girl, she so fell hard
Those strong arms lifted her up so high
She lost the moon while counting the stars
In her own way, she knew she would fall
Climbing up higher, gasping for air
Angel and human were never meant to be
Creating this monster that caresses her
Drink her in, blue eyes sliding over her body
Hands taking in her delicate form
Wings so strong, with one simple pulse
Even the stargazers fall down sometimes
Even the stargazers loose sight of the moon
How much does it take for a stargazer to bend
Bend to the point that it tends to break
This creature cast out of heaven

I waited for a sight or sound that Link was coming for me. I was tired and hungry. I had no idea how long I had been sitting in this musty cell. It seemed like forever. Surely my father would have noticed I was missing by now? I was nauseous with anticipation for someone to come to my rescue. I jumped as a screech met my ears. That sounded like the door! I whipped my head around to see a blinding light. I squinted against the light, and made out a silhouette.
"Link," I timidly called. I knew it was him! It had to be! I knew he would come!
"Link!" I completely forgot about the chains that bound my ankles and hands and lunged for him. They painfully jerked me back, but I didn't care.
"Oh Link! I knew you would come for me!" I reached out and struggled against the weight of the chains.
"Oh keep your pants on, princess." Hands grabbed my shoulders and flung me back against the wall. I immediately knew who this was.
"Garon." I addressed him with extreme coolness. My eyes adjusted and I saw

Their lights flickered across the air,
my eyes flashing my child-like wonder.
My feet moved on their own accord
and my hands reached out,
trying hard to capture one.
They floated freely passed me,
just escaping my determined hands.
I took a moment to stop,
scanning across the air,
and taking in their beauty.
They sprinkled the air like
blinking stars visiting the earth.
My hazel eyes brightened further
when one floated just close enough
for me to reach out again
and capture it confidently.
I cupped my hands,
looking at the small creature.
Its movements tickled me,
but it only lasted a few moments.
As it flew away
back with its fluttering friends,
I decided that I wanted that.
I wanted something that
seemed so small and unique separated
and so beautiful put together.

How long had it been ? A few hours ? Maybe days ? I couldn’t tell acurately, but I know it had been a while. A while that seemed like months in my head. Months I spent alone, down here on the surface, looking for her. If she hadn’t been my best friend, I would probably be back in Skyloft by now. I wouldn’t be worried to death about her, wondering if she’s alright or not. I wouldn’t even bother being here to try and find her so I could take her home.
The more I thought, the more my thoughts turned to be grim. I felt lonely, powerless, even. But I guess those are normal things to feel when you’re far away from your missing best friend, and that you’re trying to save her… and that everytime we were about to be reunited once again, she only slipped away before I could t
