A poem imagining the Fall of Hyrule - the drowning of that land, which gave rise to the Wind Waker's Great Sea.
Just when did the people of the land realise what was happening to them? That they were abandoned by the gods?

Will you ever say any single word?
When running away to save the princess,
Only some syllables or grunts are heard,
Your silence is the key to your success.
Somehow you can have a conversation,
Everyone always knows what you mean,
No language with each reincarnation,
We just hear that war cry you always scream.
You are a genuine master swordsman,
Even though you've just had a little practice,
You don't remember your past lives, we can,
You're the hero of old, his apprentice.
So whenever you're going on a quest,
Please just remember that silence is best.

We walked down the street side by side in silence for a while. Every few minutes or so I would glance at him from the corner of my eyes.

I had to admit-he was hot. And him being gay was just a bonus added on! But...I didn't understand what would make me let a complete stranger walk me home at four In the morning. I knew absolutely nothing about him, yet here we were, walking down a dark and completely deserted street.

/Smart move, Link.../ I thought to myself. For All I really knew he could be some psychopathic freak out to kill me or rape me! /The second one didn't sound so bad../ I groaned softly and blushed. No! Keep those kinda of thoughts out of my head!

"Hey, Link? You alright? Your face is turning red..." I looked at him and laughed sheepishly. "Heheh, I'm fine just a little..." I looked at down at his open chest and felt my face grow warmer. "...side tracked.."

God, I hope I wasn't drooling...

I heard him laughed and looked at him. "What's so fucking funny?" He smiled and looked at me. "I think I might know what has gotten you all side tracked..." Blushing, I looked away. "Really? And what would that be?"

I heard him laugh slightly and turned to see him buttoning up his shirt.

/Really? Really?/ If possible the blush on my face deepened.

"Tell me, Link. Whats your...preference?" I looked back at him and laughed. "I barley even know you and your already asking me that?" He smiled at me, the flash of something sharp in his mouth again.

"That doesn't seem to stop you from starring at me with that lust full look in your eyes, ne? Or from letting me walk you home..." I groaned-loudly this time and stopped walking to stare at him. "For the record, I don't even know why I'm letting you walk me home..."

He laughed at me and I continued walking.

"Well? What is it?" I sighed and looked at him. "I'm Bi-sexual, if you must know. "He grinned at that and looked down at me. He had a good three or four inches over me. "That makes me partially happy..." I sighed and continued walking down the street.

"Partially happy? About what?" He smirked and looked down the street.

"If I have it my way, I'll have to share a part of you with everyone else..." I blushed for what seemed like the billionth time that night. "H-have it your way? What do you mean?" He let out a small sighed and looked down at me again. "Are you that dense? Are are you just playing with me?"

I blushed and looked down towards the ground. "O-oh..."

I looked up to see that we had finally entered my neighborhood and let out a sigh of relief.

/What's with this guy...?/

By the time we finally reached my house-a one story gray bricked house, it was nearly four forty five in the morning. /Ugh, god I'm tired.../ I let out a small yawn and grabbed my key out of my pocket and unlocked the door. /Shit! What am I going to do about Dark...?/ I opened the door and turned around to face Dark-who was no where in sight.

/W-what the hell? He was right behind me!/ I looked down the street a few times before I finally went inside, closed the door and locked it.

I put my keys on the kitchen counter and sighed. I had to be up early tomorrow for school. I didn't explain that much did I? I'm a student attending Hyrule University. In other words-collage. I went to school at noon, got out at five, and went to work three hours later. It didn't give me much time to sleep, but at least this way I went to school and maintained a job at the same time. Plus-I lived in a decent enough house in a good neighborhood.

I quickly took of my jacket and and placed my shoe's by the front door. God, why was I so fucking sore?

I walked back into my room and collapsed on my bed. I knew I was tired, I just didn;t think it was THIS bad. Curling up into the bed and under the blankets, I soon fell asleep.

I groaned and began to slam my fist against the clock. "Shut upppppp...Lemme' sleeepppp..." After successfully finding the off button I finally sat up and opened my eyes. After I stretched and yawned a bit, I threw the covers off me and stood up.

/Shit...School...Great./ I sighed and began riffling through my drawers for something to wear to school. After finding a pair of black jeans, a green button up shirt and a white under shirt I made my way to the bathroom and started the shower.

I had a feeling today was going to be a long day...

Onto the story~

I ran around the room throwing clothes left to right. "DAMN IT WHERES MY SHOE?!" I screamed. It was already eight fifty seven and Dark would be here in tree minutes or less!

Sighting the shoe under the table, I got down on my knees and crawled under to get it.

That's when I heard a knock at the door.

"Link! Are you ready?" Yuhp. Nine o'clock exactly.

In shock, I banged my head against the table and gasped in pain. /Ah shit! Ow!/

Growling, I crawled out from under the table and began to put my shoe on. "Doors open Dark!" I yelled. I heard the door open, and looked up to see Dark Starring at me.

"W-what are you-" :Link, what happened? Your head..It's bleeding!" I put my fingers to my forehead and gasped in pain. Sure enough, blood coated my fingers.

"O-oh! I accidentally banged my head against the table..when..I...heard you...Knock...Dark?"

I looked up into his eyes which were now locked onto my neck. Something was off about him. His breathing was ragged, he eyes were blood shot and...

Holy shit...

"D-Dark?!" I whispered. I watched him slowly get closer to my neck, his breath fluttering across the skin. My heart beat hitched when I felt his lip's press against the skin.

"Link...Close your eyes..."

I took a step back and looked at him. "D-Dark?! What are you-"

I stopped talking the second I looked at his lips.

Producing from his upper lips...was a pair of very sharp, very long fangs.

I'm Sorry That This Is So Short!!!! ; A ;

WARNING: Contains Skyward Sword Ending Spoilers.
Turn back now if you don't want spoilers~!

Hylia gazed down on her incarnation's sleeping form. A soft smile on her lips. She had done well, as the boy. Her plan had been successful. Demise would not break free of his new seal in many centuries. Her dream had finally been realized.

It had not come without sacrifice though.

She herself was merely a spirit now. A ghostly reflection of her former self. Her divine soul and power now slept permanently in the girl. She had detached herself temporarily to reminisce.
She was preparing to put her consciousness - Hylia's consciousness- to a rest. She had been fully awakened by the girl's trips to the Sacred Springs. Now finally, she would rest. She would live her own life, not as a venerated Goddess but as Zelda. She would still have the memories of Hylia but would not be burdened by them so clearly.

In fact, Hylia herself embraced the idea of such rest. Something an immortal could not easily have. Though a god, she realized now that immortality did not suit her. In her mortal body, she had experienced much more than any of the gods. She had become human, acted like one, lived like one. It was not as bad as she had once thought. She wished to remain like that if it meant staying with him....

Her gaze fell from Zelda to the boy. He was asleep as well. Both of their backs rested against the smooth bark of the Tree of Life. Her tree. The warm tendrils of light coming in from the upper windows rested on their still forms. His face was tranquil for the first time in weeks. Zelda's head rested contentedly on his shoulder, a similar expression on her face. They could sleep well now.

Ah...seeing him now...It was uncanny how much he resembled him. Her Hero of old.

Every time she looked at him through Zelda's eyes, the ancient pain and guilt blazed within her.

She sensed him though. His spirit now slept within the boy. She was surprisingly comforted by this. If only he remembered as she had... No. That would be too selfish of her, he did not need his old memories. They would bring nothing but pain. There was no good reason for it. Nor was there an easy way to do it.
Zelda was a different matter. Possessing the soul of a Goddess had made it considerably easier to restore hers... Hylia allowed her to explore them but mercifully buried the painful ones a bit deeper. It would not do for the girl to remember everything so acutely. Not if she was to live a life of her own. After all, Hylia was now someone of the past. Someone she had been. Hylia's old memories would slowly dull, as she created new ones.

Hylia raised her hand in a graceful arc and an invisible portal to the Sacred Realm appeared before her. Her ghostly form stepped into the realm that shadowed her own. Everything gave off a pale, cleansing light. No vibrant colors shined here.

Behind, her body and the boy had disappeared. Only spirits belonged here. Her own form appeared more solid. Her very presence seemed to have renewed the state of her Temple. Divine glowing particles swirled about her, like moths to flame.

She glided up the stone stairs that led to her Temple's most sacred chamber. The great doors were shut tight. She approached, and as if some unseen force had bidden them to, the grand doors opened. One would expect noise to come from the ancient hinges, but there was none. Time did not exist here. Nothing here made noise – not on its own anyway. It was a world of reflection. Silent.

The room that she had resided in for an eternity lay before her.

Instead of a crystal in the center, she found a longsword embedded in a pedestal. Very much the same one from the world of the mortals. The invisible power that dwelled within its blade glowed brightly here.

True, Hylia had created Fi. But the blade had never been meant for her to wield.

The Master Sword, Blade of Evil's Bane, would forever belong to him. She had ordained that so many eons ago. He was the sword's rightful master.

Hylia placed her hand on its smooth hilt. Demise was sealed in the Holy Blade now. No dark aura tainted the sword. It served as a testament of Fi's true power.

How ironic. The spirit she had created was slumbering in the same place she herself had. Charged with the same task.

Hylia felt a pang of sadness. Unlike her, Fi would not awaken. But her consciousness would not completely fade either. She was fully one with the blade now. Her current purpose was fulfilled.

Of course, even with Fi, Demise would return. Of that she was sure.

One day he would find a way to break the bonds that held him. Seals could only ever contain him for so long. He would escape just as he had done so before. His hate and lust was just too strong. It was inevitable. However, they would be prepared when that time came. Whenever it may be. She would rise again, with him. And they would send the Demon back into the abyss.

He was an ancient evil. She wondered if he could even be utterly destroyed. How he had been created she did not know. She only knew that as long as he still existed, he was to plague her beloved world. And it seemed he was definitely intent on haunting them as well.

It pained her to think of the fate that would fall to their descendants...Such a heavy burden. Oh Great Goddesses, they would never be fully granted rest would they?

The future – and for that matter, the past – could not be changed anymore. There was no use thinking about it. However, she couldn't help but wonder...

If she had taken other actions...would the present and future have become a more pleasant place?

She would never know.

Hylia closed her eyes wearily, losing herself in these thoughts

Behind her, at the top of the stairs, a soft shimmer of light glowed. Particles swirled around it and gave the light form. After the dazzle had settled, a cloaked man stood there.

"Your Grace..."

Hylia recognized his voice and presence instantly. She reopened her eyes but did not turn. How could she face the one she had sent to his death, along with so many of his men?

"Link," she whispered. His name sounded wistful in her voice. Her Link?

Mixed dread and hope began to creep up her heart. She simply couldn't bring herself to turn. She had never felt this hesitant before...this vulnerable.

After a few moments of pondering, she did turn. To her surprise she found him on one knee, bent low in a bow. She composed instantly. "My Chosen Knight," she began, her strong voice echoing around the chamber. It disguised what she felt.

"Rise. There is no need for formalities between us. If anything, I should be bowing to you."

He stood, his eyes flickering from the floor to hers. Pale storm blue against her radiant azure. He had not changed.

It seemed so many ages ago... the last time they had met. But at the same time, very recent...

"Your Grace..." He repeated, trailing off. He stepped toward her in a couple of strides until they were both only a few feet away. His form shimmered as he walked.

A spirit, like her.

His war-torn features broke into a faint smile. "You've done it."

"No." She said instantly. "We did it."

His smile faded. "No, Hylia," he looked away. "I failed you."

He let out a sharp laugh. "To think that my incarnation, a boy in all ways less experienced than me, fought against the Demon King with minimum loss and won...while I was simply tossed aside like a rag."

It nearly brought her to tears again. She didn't bother to point out that he and the boy were one and the same. That same guilt that had influenced her so much welled up inside once more.
It had been her fault!  Demise had been at full power then...If she, a Goddess, had trouble containing the beast, why did she expect a mere mortal to be able to do so? Even a mortal as determined as he...So why?

Why had she allowed him to face that monster even though he himself had not even recovered from his earlier wounds?

And worst of all was that she knew... She knew what could have helped him.

The Triforce, the divine power of the gods she so jealously had guarded. If only she had bestowed that power upon him sooner...

There had not been enough time though...Demise's forces had attacked sooner than she had expected. It had forced the Hero and his men to take action.

"You don't understand," she said bitterly. "There could have been greater actions I could have taken to prevent so many casualties." Her eyes moved toward his side, searching for the bloody wound that had cost him his life.

Of course, the blood was not there. Such a mortal sign was not possible in this realm. However, the giant tear in the tunic was. He immediately sensed her discomfort. He shifted his cerise-colored cloak to obscure the area.

She closed her eyes again as tears threatened to burst forth again. She had spent too much time among humans it seemed. These emotions were getting harder to control...

"Do not trouble yourself with this. I was reckless. My death was not your fault."

Hylia did not listen. "You didn't even have chain-mail!" This definitely was getting to her.

He scoffed softly, a bit amused though. "That would not have made much difference."

She shook her head. She realized now, how deeply she regretted not prepa-

Her thoughts were abruptly stopped as he placed a gentle hand on her cheek.

Surprised, she opened her eyes and was met with the deep depths of his. His eyes, they showed everything to her. He had been through so much. Years of imprisonment had done nothing to deter his spirit.  Hate for the ones who had betrayed him had not consumed him either. His heart was true. And that is why she had chosen him.

He had defended her land to  the very end. The land he loved.

"My Hylia..." She moved her own hands to cradle his touch against her delicate face as he continued.

"Demise has been fully sealed, isn't that what is important? Even if it did take a millenia to do so. No matter how brief this respite, we must enjoy it. The past will stay in the past. It cannot be changed any longer."

She could not restrain her tears any longer. Crystalline droplets formed at the corner of her eyes and flowed freely down her face. All the mixed emotion she felt since those ancient days poured out.

"You are wise," she whispered. How could he simply forgive her? After she had used him for her plans... twice!

He seemed startled.

"Hylia...!" How was he supposed to console her?

"Don't cry, Goddess! Please! There's no need to cry!" His hand lowered to her chin and lifted it a little higher.

She did not respond.

"My dearest Hylia, it pains me to see one as proud and strong as yourself cry!" She only clenched her eyes tighter. He was baffled.

"Tears don't belong on your face." He tried in a softer tone.

She couldn't help but smile at his panicked reaction. He didn't know this wasn't the first time she had cried over him. Her tears were indeed very alien to him.

"I think I am entitled to these human sentiments now that I am one, don't you think?" She said finally.
He blinked.

"Tears are not a form of weakness. It is only a way to alleviate our pain. Holding it in will only makes it stronger. Your own people have taught me that."

He was still staring at her in concern, his pale golden hair leaving his eyes in shadow.

"You are right." She said. Her keen eyes studied the faded scars of ancient battles on his face for some seconds. He held her gaze.

"No good comes from regretting the past." She moved closer to him. "This new future is ours now."
She embraced him, catching him off guard. After a moment's hesitation of surprise, he returned it.

"Let us enjoy the new lives we have been granted. And be what the nature of our former ones did not allow us to be," she murmured, pulling a little back and gazing lovingly into his eyes.

She rested her fore against his and squeezed the last bit of tears out of her eyes. She reopened them to find, not the battle-hardened warrior she had chosen eons ago, but the cheerful, young face of the boy he had become.

He smiled at her and laughed softly. The sound was like the sweet ringing of bells. And his eyes, there was no more deep pain in them. They held a mischievous twinkle in them now. His scars were completely gone.

She had changed as well.

That divine glow that seemed to hang about her did not fade, nor did her regal beauty. But the seriousness her godly form had embodied was gone.

In her place was a slender young girl with golden hair and whose bright, wise eyes were full of mirth.

"Of course, Hylia," his young voice said coolly. " aren't Hylia any longer." He grinned.

"I suppose you want me to call you Zelda now, Your Grace?"

"Precisely, Hero," she smirked.

"Fate does not dictate us anymore. Let us embrace this new life the gods have granted us."

Link awoke to find Zelda snoring soundly at his side. Her head rested on his shoulder, and he blushed fiercely as he realized how close she was. He debated briefly on whether to move or not, but decided against it. The motion would probably wake her and he didn't want that. She looked so peaceful while she slept.

He looked up and saw the beautiful, lush green leaves and branches of the Tree of Life looming above him. Had they fallen asleep here?

He tried to recall, but there was some sort of cloudiness in his memory. He could only vaguely remember a strange dream... Ah, no use worrying about it. It would come back to him later.

Instead he focused on a random new feeling he felt.  What was it?

He shrugged it off. Strange.

He was shaken from his thoughts as Zelda stirred beside him.

"Mmmm." She struggled to straighten up and yawn.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." He said, using her pet name for him.

She noticed him there and laughed. "What are you doing awake before me?" She nudged him playfully as she stretched. "Goodness, my back is sore from leaning against this tree for so long."

Link smiled.

She turned to him and their eyes met. They held their gaze for a few seconds. In an instant, details returned to him. He blinked rapidly, breaking their connection.

Being in the Silent Realm...a celestial woman in white? Had he been conversing with the Goddess herself? He couldn't remember clearly.

"I think..." He began.

Zelda studied him quizzically. "What's wrong?"

"I had this weird dream."

She stared blankly at him before a slow look of recognition spread across her face. A bright, knowing smile spread across her features. "Oh really?"

He nodded.

"Funny. I did too." Despite her earlier complaint, she settled back against the tree next to him. "But it wasn't quite a dream..." She added the last part very softly. Too softly for him to hear.

She inched a tiny bit closer to him. How much did he really remember? She contemplated on whether or not to ask him about it. Her curiosity was rather strong... She did something very different though.

"Hey, Link?" She  asked her childhood friend.

"Hold me."

Her cheeks flushed rosy, surprised at her own impulsiveness. She stuttered. They simply stared at each other for what seemed like forever, until she regained her senses first.

"What do you mean, 'what'?" She snapped. "It's....a chilly morning! I'm...I'm cold!"

He nodded and placed his arms over her shoulders, hugging her tight. She sighed contentedly and he let out a quiet chuckle. It was no where near cold.

She collected her thoughts and prepared herself for what she was going to say next. His warmth seemed to have given her strength.

"I know people from Skyloft will eventually warm up to this place." She said suddenly. "It's our job to built some sort of town."

"Yes. Start some place to live. Some sort of human civilization down here. You didn't expect to be living at this old temple the whole time did you?"

He frowned. That's what he had been thinking actually. He didn't say it though.

"Building a town will require an awful lot of work though," she continued. "So we can start with something small." She took a breath. "How about a little cottage nearby? That way we can watch over the Triforce."

He listened intently, his usual stoic expression stuck on his face. In truth, he had had a similar idea himself...

"People were not meant to live in the skies for so long. They'll come down here, I'm sure. Eventually, we'll work on the town. It'll get bigger and..." She trailed off.

"We will rebuild Hylia's realm." She finished with conviction.

He was silent, processing all her words carefully. She waited for him to emit some sort of reaction.

"What will we call it?" He asked finally.

She quietly led out a sigh of relief. "I don't know."

"Hylia? Like it was once called?" He said. "New Hylia?"

She hid a smile. "Wow, so very original!" She giggled. "But no, Hylia – I mean I... I wouldn't want it to be called the same thing."

"Zelda's Realm?" He asked playfully.

"No!" She laughed.

"How about...?" He started, already getting warmed up. He grinned. "Grooseland?"

Zelda looked horrified. She stared at him as if he had lost his mind.

"What?" He asked innocently.

"Grooseland?" She repeated with a scoff. "You don't seriously want to name this land after Groose, right?" She said incredulously, but Link barely heard her above his laughter.

She couldn't help but join in.  His laughter was so nice. It seemed ages since she'd heard it...

"No really!" She punched his arm softly. "Grooseland? Where did you get that?"

He tried to compose himself but found he couldn't. He let go of her and hugged his stomach instead, forgetting to breath. Her confused expression was too great for him to handle. He was contagious and she burst into giggles at the silliness of the name as well.

"Alright! Alright! I got it!" He said suddenly. Her giggles stopped.

"Are you serious this time?" He nodded soberly.

"Then?" She waited expectantly.

"Hy-rule?" She repeated.. Testing the word on her tongue. A thoughtful expression crossed her face as she mulled over the name. "Hyrule..."

Link waited for her answer anxiously. He leaned forward as she placed a hand on her chin in mock concentration, her eyes raised to heaven, pondering.

"Hmmm, could do."

Link blinked. "Yes?"

She glanced at him, breaking her stupor as if she just realized he was still there. She broke into a wide grin.

"It's perfect."
EDIT: I found out how to change the PDF into an html file! :D And I managed to learn how to use all the html codes after tinkering with the text for an hour. :typerhappy: Now it looks normal! PHEW...

I had a very hard time coming up with a suitable title. :meow: And the PDF file seems a bit odd to me....Hopefully people can read it. ^^;

This was supposed to be uploaded on VALENTINE'S DAY.
And I am quite mad at myself for not completing my own deadline. :XD:

My story takes place after the events of the game... Based on the Skyward Sword Prequel Manga that came out with Hyrule Historia as a Preview. (Hyrule Historia is the LoZ Encyclopedia currently only released in Japan. It also has the official game timeline- Rejoice, it has FINALLY been released!)
[link] and [link]

I was able to read a little bit of the fan translation before it got taken down. I got left with a cliffhanger though, so I took it upon myself to decipher some of the writing with my limited Japanese skills! :D

It's based on the war between Hylia and Demise and has a bit of the old Link's background. The crimson Loftwing from SS is also and incarnation of an ancient bird and makes an appearance. To make an epic story short, after a long struggle, Hylia seals Demise. Not before he almost annihilates the human race and destroys the land of course. Oh, and Link dies at the end. Scary... ._. Hylia gets over her grief and comes up with that mastermind plan to get rid of Demise... Ages later, SS Link meets his incarnated Loftwing. XD And the rest of the story continues in Skyward Sword of course.

If you think the Hero of Time from Ocarina of Time has a sad life story....I'm afraid Hylia's Old Hero was a bit more sorrowful. :XD:

This is just a final last meeting between Hylia and her first Hero. They didn't get a proper farewell in the manga, nope, far from it... So I made one. ^_^
I am just the tiniest bit discontent with this piece. I think it moved a little too fast. Or that may just be me...I would greatly appreciate it if someone could review it...

And for the record, let me say that Skyward Sword is one of the BEST games I have ever played! Great characters, great music, awesome controls.... Touching, dramatic, hilarious and had a whole mix of other stuff. Truly a great game.

(Agh, how did this description get so big?)

Fanart belongs to its respective artist! :D
(I will post a link to his/her original work once I can find it!)

Legend of Zelda, Hyrule Historia and the Prequel Manga all belong to Nintendo~!

Disclaimer: Takes place towards the end of season 6 and beginning of season 7!!!

It was dark when Castiel came to you. You hadn’t seen him in a couple of weeks; all you knew was the Winchesters were taking care of him, at least that was your hope. You had the next week off and you had originally planned to spend it with Castiel, but he hadn’t been answering your recent prayers that you knew of.

You were in your living room, watching some cheesy horror flick, when you heard the flutter of wings. You thought nothing of it,

After a few days of perking up at the sound and only to find actual birds outside, your heart fluttered but doubt crept into your mind.

This time your heart was right.

It was a swift, fast look out of the corner of your eye, something you did to check out the world around you, and you saw the most familiar color of tan that the sight of it made your heart skip a beat.

“Castiel!” You jumped up from your seat and wrapped your arms around the angel. It had been a while since your angel had held you affectionately, so you didn’t worry when it took Castiel a moment to wrap his arms against your waist and hold you tight against his warm body.

Gently, you nuzzled your nose against his neck, taking in the sweet smell of rain and spice.

Underneath his trench coat, you could feel his muscles tighten for a moment and then relax as he slumped into your embrace. This took you by surprise.

“Cas, is everything okay?” You asked, pulling away from him to check his temperature. You noticed how slightly warm he was, but it was his beautiful, blue eyes that shocked you; they were filled with sadness and looked old and tired.

“Recent events have taken, what you would say, ‘a toll’ on me.” Castiel replied. You nodded your head, understanding how the civil war in heaven bound your angel with grief. Holding him close, you led Castiel to your couch and sat him down, turning the television off, and looking at him with worry.

“Cas, what’s going on? Is it Raphael?” Castiel started to nod his head, then he began to shake it, but he ended up putting his head in his hands.

“__________, all that I have done, the actions I have taken, they have all been out of the ‘goodness of my heart.’ My intentions are true, so why does it not feel right?” He asked, his eyes searching for someone to write the answer in front of him as he strayed from his hands and looked up.

“I have prayed to my father, asked for his help and advice, but I am only given silence. What do I do?”

You smiled sadly and turned his head so that he was looking at you, your (e/c) eyes meeting his brighter than blue eyes. Oh, how you wanted to kiss him until those puppy eyes of his went away.

You could tell that Castiel had read your mid since he quickly looked down to your lips after you had finished your recent thought. It made your eyes twinkle. Temptation was about to get the better of you, but you knew that Cas needed your help, so you pushed temptation aside.

“Cas, a lot of people don’t really think about the good intentions someone has behind a certain action, but it truly is the thought that counts. Even if something doesn’t go the way you originally planned, it’s all right because you at least tried to do something for the greater good. Do you understand?”

It made him think about your words for a moment, to comprehend your meaning. In the end, he gave that unique, small smile that you rarely saw. You squeezed Castiel’s hand in reassurance and stood, walking to your bedroom. You heard Castiel rise to his feet and listened as he followed you to your bedroom like a sad puppy and complied as you carefully took off his trench coat and clothes until he was comfortably sitting with you on your bed in his gray boxers.

“________,” He said, playing with the ends of your (h/l) (h/c) hair. “I have wanted to apologize.”

“For what?” You asked.

“I have not been, what you might say, a ‘good boyfriend,’ if that is what I even am. Dean has informed me that I should show my intentions to you more often.” You couldn’t help but giggle. And it was just like Castiel to turn his head at a slight angle in confusion. “What action have I taken that would seem funny?”

To answer him, you leaned forward; you leaned forward until your lips were only inches apart from each other, until Castiel’s warm breath tickled your skin, until you finally kissed him. It wasn’t a kiss full of lust or passion, but simple and full of love. Castiel leaned into your kiss and held you close to him, taking you in while trying to be as careful as possible in case you broke. Then he pulled back, his eyes serious and a tint darker than you liked.

“Will you stand by my side when the time comes? Will you be there when I need you most, _____?” He asked you, his mouth just out of reach from yours, his eyes looking down at you with love and need. You bit your lower lip, wondering what this was about, but you nodded your head.

“Whenever you need me, Castiel, I will always be there for you.”

Two Weeks Later

It was raining outside, a delicacy that came rarely where you lived. It didn’t bother you at all, though; you really enjoyed it.

What you had planned to do for the rest of the day that you had off from work was to sit in front of the television while you pampered your toes and nails, but that changed when you heard a familiar flutter of wings. It wasn’t the sound of one pair of wings, though. It was more like a mass of fluttering, all happening at the same time. You looked up to see Castiel standing in your kitchen, looking out your windows as the rain fell against the cold earth.

This took you by surprise. You hadn’t expected to see Castiel for another week for your birthday.

“Cas, what are you doing here?” You asked, placing a hand upon his shoulder until he turned to look at you and you were shaken when he did.

There was Castiel standing right in front of you; same coat and clothes, same stubble of hair on his face, and those vibrant blue eyes, but you could feel, deep down, that this was not your angel.

You took a step back in fear until Castiel grabbed ahold of your wrist, slowly meeting your fearful gaze until he smiled. It was a small smile, something that regular people did, but not what Cas would do. You knew that something was wrong.

“Cas, what did you do?” He tilted his head at your question, trying to understand your words.

“I became God.” He replied simply. You wanted to laught, to know if Sam and Dean had put Cas up to this, but it was his eyes that told you, how they had a certain quality that was all too familiar from your father and something that you rarely saw in Castiel; self-righteousness.

“How did this happen?” You asked. “Who did this to you?”

“I opened a door to Purgatory and sucked in the souls of many to become what you see before you.”

“But who did this to you? Tell me who did this to you! I’ll rip their heart out of their chest, so help me-“

“________, I did this.” His answer took you by surprise, the side effect being you couldn’t breathe.

“Is this what you were talking about, Cas? When you asked me if I would stand by your side when you needed it?” Castiel nodded.

You choked back a sob; you knew your angel wasn’t stupid, but his actions were just…No, you thought, this wasn’t, this couldn’t be happening! Castiel watched you silently, watching the battle being fought in your beautiful (e/c) eyes, and it made him sad, not just for himself, but for you as well. Castiel let go of your wrist and pulled you close to him, holding you lovingly and gently, allowing you to hold him tight against you as you tried to comprehend what was happening.

“You will stand by my side…won’t you?” You didn’t answer him. He sighed and whispered in your ear, “Please, say you will. Or I will be alone, or else I will have no one. Same and Dean, I thought they were my family, my brothers, but they couldn’t see, they wouldn’t help me the one time I needed them most. Please, do not leave me like they did when I need you too.”

You almost cried when he said those words, but even though you knew what he was doing was wrong, you couldn’t help but love him still.

You thought back to all the times that Castiel came to you when you called, how, no matter how much of a challenge, he always helped you. And the one time he asked for your help, the one time he needed you, why would you refuse this man, this angel, when he had done so much for you?

Slowly, you nodded looking into his eyes as tears filled yours.

“Yes, Castiel. I will stand by you.”

You watched as his muscles relaxed and he smiled in relief, for a moment you saw the old Castiel, the angel that you fell in love with. Then, as gently as he could, he leaned down and kissed you, holding you close, hoping this small, good ting wouldn’t disappear, that you wouldn’t disappear.

“I promise you, ________,” he began to say, kissing your (h/c) hair, “I will be a better father to you than your father or my father ever was. And I will always love you more than you could ever know.”

You nodded, leaning against his chest as if he was the one thing holding you together in this world. And all that night, you never let go of each other. You held Castiel as he kissed you with passion and filled you with love and he held you as you slept, keeping you safe in his warm embrace.

"Wakey Wakey love birds~!"

I groaned and attempted to roll over, only to find myself pinned down by Dark. Groaning, I began to poke at his arms.

"Daaaaaarrrrrkkk get off of me.." I whined. I heard something close to a snort come from him before he rolled off.

Slowly, I sat up. Sheik and Shino stood at the door, looking at us.

"Did you two have fun last night~?" Sheik smirked. I growled and threw a pillow at him.

"I-It's not like that! We didn't do anything!" I fought back.

Sheik started laugh9ing causing Shino to look at us both and sigh.

"What ever you two did I have no intention of finding out. Dinner is ready Link. Dark, Sheik? I would suggest you go catch yours."

I watched as Dark and Sheik smirked, then the next second they were both gone.

"Ya commin'?

I nodded, stood up, and followed Shino down stairs.

By the time Dark and Sheik got back, I had already helped Shino clean up after dinner and pick up around the house a bit. By now, It was almost five in the morning.

"Dark sighed and sat on the couch next to me. "I'll have to sleep soon..."

I sighed and leaned against his shoulder.

Smiling, he pressed a kiss to my forehead.

Sheik yawned suddenly and stood up. "Well..I'm off to bed! You coming, Dark?"

He nodded and playfully pushed me off him.

"Night , Link."

I smiled and laughed. "Morning Dark!"

Grinning, Dark turned to Sheik and walked up the stairs and out of sight.

I heard Shino sigh and looked at him. "Hmm? What?" I asked.

He ran his fingers through his hair and looked at me.

"I've never seen Dark look at someone the way he does you."

Blushing, I turned my head away and scowled. " He doesn't look at me in any way..."

He smiled and started laughing. "Alright, no need to get all defensive over it...But it is true."

I sighed and looked out the window, watching the sun slowly peeking over the roofs.

"I hope your right..."

Sighing, I let myself sink lower into the tub. It felt great to finally be clean again. Sighing, I closed my eyes and relaxed.

"Link?" Shino sighed. "I'm going to the store! I'll be back in a few!"

I laughed. "Alright! See ya later!"

I listened in till his foot steps disappeared and sighed. Finishing up my bath, I wrapped a towel around my waist and stepped out. After I dried off, I hurriedly got dressed and opened the door.

Something wasn't right.

Slowly, I made my way to the kitchen.

I felt a pair of arms holding me, and looked over my shoulder to see another silvered hair man holding me.

Or was it a woman?

What ever it was, it was strong.

"Great! Lets get out of here before were caught!" Some one said.

Immediately, I knew what was going on.

The silvered hair person placed there hand over my mouth and cursed. "Damn it! Hurry, before the others-"

I heard foot steps running down the stairs and saw Dark and Sheik, snarled on both their faces with fangs bared.

From behind us, five more people ran ahead acting like a wall. Slowly, I felt myself getting dragged towards the door.

Screaming, I began to thrash and kick, only to be choked by the person holding me.

"Stop, or I can see to it that you die here.."

Immediately, I ceased all struggle.

The person smirked hen whistled. "Lets go! We got what we came to get!"

I watched as the person flung open the door and the remaining two people fled, running towards the black van parked out front.

"Link!" I heard Dark scream.

I watched as he ran towards us, The screamed in pain as the light his his hand.

The person smirked and dragged me into the van.

The last thing I saw was Dark's teared filled eye's looking at me before from the door way before I felt something hit me across the head- HARD -and I blacked out.

Zelink Mother's Day

"Mommy?" A little girl the age of six called.

Zelda poked her head into the living room and smiled. "What is it Tayra?"

Tayra jumped down from the couch and put her hands behind her back. "I wanted to give you something….."

Zelda bent down and tilted her head ot the side. "And what would that be?"

"Happy Mother's Day!" Tayra smiled and held out a blue sapphire necklace in the shape of a Triangle with five diamonds on it that formed a Z.

Link came walking in as Zelda took the beautiful necklace and examined it.

It was gorgeous. Even the chain was a beautiful blue.

"Daddy said it looks just like your eyes."

Zelda looked up and met his eyes. "And it looks like his, too."

Link smirked and walked behind Tayra and lifted her up in the air.

The room filled with her laughter as Link lifted her on his shoulders.

Zelda smiled sweetly at both of them. "You know what." She sighed. "I already have the best gift I could ever have."

"What is that?" Tayra asked.

"A beautiful daughter," She listed. "And a wonderful husband."

Link lightly kissed Zelda on the lips.

"Eww…." Tayra groaned.

Link and Zelda started to laugh and soon Tayra joined in.
Just a REALLY short fanfic about Zelink and Mother's Day! :)
