This is a fan-made image based on the next Zelda title for the Wii U that depicts Link and his pacific green fairy companion, with a Wii U logo.
I don't believe that Link has wrong equipments, he has the same Hyrulian Shield and the Ordon Sword, which shows to be the same Hero Chosen by the Gods.
But after seeing that trailer, I had few suggesting ideas for the game if it would take place in the Child Timeline:
The Legend of Zelda: Apocalypse: Seven years after the events of Majora's Mask, the Hero of Time have returned back to Hyrule to see Zelda and have entered on another quest to find Navi, with the help of her brother, the green fairy. But at a time like this, Ganondorf had evil plans and the whole world was in a terrible crisis, but the Hero of Time stopped him and got him executed by the sages. After his adventure, the Hero left the Master Sword in the Temple of Time and went back to the Lost Woods.
The Legend of Zelda: Masked Warrior: Several months after the events of Twilight Princess, Link decided to carrry out the final wish from the Hero's Shade, who requested him to go find the Skull Kid in the Lost Woods/Sacred Grove, who can guide the Hero of Twilight and Epona to Termina, as he feels something terrible would happen in Termina. In order to protect the world, Link must find the Legendary Masks the Hero of Time left behind with the help of his new trusty fairy companion. And the Hero Chosen by the Gods has to fight for Termina's safety from the Twilights with the Legendary Masks the Hero of Time left, and prevent an evil person or two to bring peril in the world.
New!: I would like for the game to be more connected to Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and its follow-up, Four Swords Adventure, as I would like the game to reveal more legends of the young Hero of Time about what he had done in Hyrule and Termina (like Wind Waker revealed more what the adult Hero of Time did in the Adult Timeline) and more legends of Termina itself.
But, the game would have to be also related to Skyward Sword as well. The Master Sword has returned to its pedestal in the Sacred Grove, where the Skull Kid currently resides. Several months later after the death of Ganon, the evil Demon King Demise has been freed from the Master Sword, because the one who carried his hatred had died at the hands of the Hero Chosen by the God. And he will have to make his hatred reborn as another being (Ganon from Four Swords Adventure) if he gets defeated again. Now, Demise decided to go to Termina for some reasons.
I had in mind that Termina look more newer after a century has passed; Termina has a new large kingdom where Clock Town was, with some Terminan counterparts of their Hyrulian selves like Princess Zelda and a Hyrulean King, where some Hylians and Human talks about the legendary Hero of Time and have more knowledge on the Triforce. Its region become a lot more bigger, with new lands and inhabitants; such as the Zora's new generations, the Ritos, that live in a Heavenly Land of Termina with the Ooccas and Loftwings, the Southern region of Woodfall (that also has now a sacred forest and the newer swamp) where Deku, Ordonians and Kokiri (with Saria and Mido) live together, a desert land close to Ikana where the deads and some Gerudo live, the same snowy land of Snowhead where the Yeti and Anouki live, instead of the Gorons, who now live in a new firey land. Ikana's region became more like a kingdom.
That's what I think. But I think a direct sequel to Twilight Princess that takes place in the new Termina would be so epic.
That happens after the defeat of Ganondorf, when Link had said goodbye to Princess Midna, and took leave of the princess Zelda. Shortly thereafter, he returned to his village home, because he had a promise to keep, a promise made to Ilia, when all would finally finished, he would return home to their village to Ordon. When he arrived, It's Ilia that he noticed the first. She wanted to be here for the welcome to his arrival.
When they landed in the arms of one and of another, they shared a kiss they had already experienced before. their first and last kiss is happened in a church.
Since I looked in the Zelda tech demo for the Nintendo Gamecube, something interesting was seen in the trailer, which depicts Link and Ganondorf fighting in his castle. Due to the Hero's Shield the Hero of Time was using, the battle would probably take place in the Child Timeline.
It'd be interesting it was intended to be a direct sequel seven years after the events of Majora's Mask, where we can see the young Hero of Time have grown up as an adult like in the Adult Timeline. It would also be epic to travel through the two worlds, Termina and Hyule. There might be some chances that the upcoming first original Zelda game for the Nintendo 3DS to be something like this.
Here is my fan-made story based on my first fan-made Zelda concept: Seven years after the Hero of Time saved Termina from Majora and celebrated the Carnival of Time, he was about to return back to Hyrule to meet Zelda and continue his search for Navi. But the portal that connects Termina and Hyrule have closed by the Evil King Ganondorf so he must find a way to return back to his homeland so he could meet Princess Zelda and protect Hyrule from Ganon's evil plans.
Eventually, Link defeated Ganondorf with the Master Sword and got him executed by the Seven Sages in the Mirror Chamber of the Arbiter's Grounds.
Sometimes later, the Hero of Time was about to die, and breath out his last words to his friend, the Skull Kid, who will be the sage of the Sacred Grove; to watch over the Master Sword, the ruins of the Temple of Time, the items he once possessed to become the hero of Termina and the Child Timeline's Hyrule, and allow his descendant to go through the Sacred Grove, who will become the Hero Chosen by the Gods, before eventually, the Hero of Time's spirit would go live inside a certain child's human body in a hundred years later.
this is the ancient symbol of... a land in Hyrule in our "Legend of Zelda" project thingy. The "project" is being developed by two people (me being one of them) and will be a nifty little concept video in the end... plus will have a lot of sketches and drawings (and a big ol' story) to go with it. Basically a "what if this were a real game? How COOL would that be?" sort of scenario.
It's possible to decipher the hylian symbols circling around the icon to know a bit more about what the hubbub is abub.
Navi, Tael, Tatl. Three fairies that help Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Teal is Tatl's brother. No, I'm not a fan, I swear! *rolls eyes in sarcasm*
Continuance of the poster series, this one is based on the Hyrule symbol used on Twilight Princess, the items located on each corner are the upgraded versions of the Boomerang and the bow, since the colors of the games are more dull and has less saturation had to color balance it a bit to make the feel of the actual game.
