A journey which on his heart would take a pricey toll.
She lay there peacefully dreaming of his handsome face.
He saw nothing but death's kiss and soothed her face in a warm embrace.
His blind love could only keep him awake for a few moments
If he had only stayed awake she could have made atonements.
Yet as the last drip dropped on his stone expectant tongue
He lay there limp while with agony and torture her distressed heart loudly sung.
The poison vial she finds awaiting her has not a sip left
Tasting his lips brings no relief either as she tries to thief his death
But alas a glimmering dagger seeks her attention with success
For her feelings of grief and fatal love burning deep she could no longer suppress.

Please, settle down.
No one must know. It's all a secret.
Can you find it in your mind to set it free, or are you going to define it?
The roads are gone for miles.
That's all I'm asking.
Hush your toes across the leaves, don't break them.
No yelling or everything will be broken.
The truth does not hide here. Let it crawl between your closed hands.
Let it fly to its rightful belonging.
There is no reason for you to start over again.
We are just fixing what the past has done to us.
To make our futures brighter, filling it with as lease regrets as we need.
No one wants those bringing down their shoulders.
Look, see, the poison is receding.
It doesn't want to be held inside that cage of sickness, loneliness, of moments where you wished it didn't happen or you wanted to change.
Let those regrets out, all of them, to make that smile come forth again.
Those shiny teeth, upward lips, and light-hearted laugh want to return.
They missed you too a

I missed you so much
When you left
I watched you walk away
Knowing what would happen
I should have never let you go
I should have given you that one last kiss
I wanted to get one last sugar rush
From your lips.
I should have ran up and pulled you away
Silently saying it'll be okay
But i just stood there watching you
Thinking everything will be okay
Then you disappeared
I'd never thought the last time
I see you would be
That freeze framed moment in my mind
With a nod of your head
You walked away
I want one last sugar high
From your sugar coated lips
When you left
i'd never miss someone so much

SarahSo in this dream, I had a friend named Sarah. Though I don’t know any Sarah’s with her face, she claimed to have been a long-time friend. Something kept haunting Sarah in the hotel we were staying in; in the dream, of course. I told you, I don’t know her; not really… not after I woke up, certainly. I remember that the hotel resembled our house—well, how it looked like before it was “modernized”. We had two rooms connected by a short hall, one was with a balcony, the other had a big old window with decorative bars. There were other people in the dream, but I don’t remember them. We were inside the room connected to the balcony, I forgot what we were doing—but I know it is something that I wouldn’t do awake. The Rattata on the wall stopped running at Chedra’s words. The Eevee slowed down to a stop herself, panting slightly at the physical exertion.
“My name is Chedra! Chedra Bachir! What’s yours?” she asked once again. The Rattata simply looked down at her, half hidden in the branches of an oak tree that overshadowed the wall. The stolen Bulk berry pastry was still clamped firmly in the disheveled Rattata’s mouth. Chedra reared up onto her hind legs and placed her front paws onto the wall and tried once again to get the stranger to talk to her, “I’m not angry about the pastry! I swear I’m not! I just want someone to talk to. I-I haven’t spoken to someone outside the inner walls in a long while and I just want to know, well, where you came from and what you are doing here and who you hang out with and maybe if we could be friends?” The Rattata had stopped staring at her and was scanni

Free Writing Exercise Take 2I’d have gone after him, I’d have just dove in reaching for his hand, had the sinkhole not closed as suddenly as it had appeared. That seemed to be the trend of the day, strange things happening and then not happening, and now that I had been left alone I had an even greater need to reassure myself of my sanity. So, with some difficulty, I picked myself up and made my way back to our door, walking inside. I picked the mail and the mail key up from where I’d left them, set them on the dining room table, and stepped into the kitchen.Free Writing Exercise Take 23 months ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This

Everyone in the world is attuned to an Affinity, though some are more capable of manipulating their Affinity than others. There are ten Affinities throughout Cynnia: Electricity, Creature, Desert, Nature, Fire, Ice, Wind, Water, Shadow, and Light. These Affinities power Cynnia and the civilizations covering each of its six lands. She ran across the dead log that was the short cut across the shallows of the bog -
Around the toadstool patch by the dead fern -
Up the rise toward the road -
Across the road and up the trail to the ridge.
She skidded to a halt in front of him - her mate.
Her eyes pierced him and she waited for his nod to let her know that it was safe to shift.
She shifted slowly, going through all the forms so that he could watch the detail like she knew he enjoyed - her dark eyes on his the entire time, her stare fixing his gaze.
Once in homid, she reached up to her neck and pulled the chain she wore around her neck up and over her head.
She handed the chain with the key to Craig.
As always when she was alone with him, she reverted to Irish.

Elizabeth clung tightly to my hand as we began walking cautiously down the center of the empty buildings. She gazed around with wide, fearful blue eyes and jumped at the slightest sound. She edged carefully past any gaping doorway and every darkened alleyway. Her golden hair whipped to-and-fro with her head as she tried to take in every sight and sound. I squeezed her hand reassuringly, and we kept walking slowly and carefully past the menacing sights.
We dared not make a single sound. Even the slightest noise would break the still, heavy air and bring the swarms down upon us. The street was covered in trash and debris from the missing population that had left hurriedly and here and there the ghastly sight of a body wo
