I am soaring reincarnate.
With ears and eyes alight,
I observe a world’s plight.
In the world a fire rises,
Upon winds and ghastly pyres.
Yet hindered by walls of palace,
I must rest in secret solace.
Sinking sun and rising moon,
And into a desert gloom.
My soul shall fly and pray,
For all to see light of a new day.
In castle dark,
A knight shall bear mark.
On horizon night,
A maid shall make flight.
Listen to the story told,
Through ages of myth grey and old.
Bear witness and an ear lend,
And beginning shall replace this end.
PRELUDE: Of Dreams and Prayers
“I have dreamt of the skies again,” she said with a smile. “I often dream of a place where the deepest blue oceans gleam and the rivers run clear. There are palaces there of shining marble and a gold that glistens in the sun.” She breathed deeply, and a flutter caught in her voice. A tear, having welled in her eye as she spoke, dance

Caring and considerate, yet emotional as humans are,
Something that I do not understand by far,
I do not carry a heart; I do not need one,
I do have a brain, focused on my mission,
I do not have bones or hair or blood,

His form continues to breathe; the garb he wears is slack,

“We are going to get caught, and when we do, do you know what's going to happen to us? Jail, we're both going to go to jail.” Throwing your arms in the air, you let out a frustrated sigh. “I don't want to go to jail. I have a really good life, I'm happy.”
Dark Link, who you now lovingly referred to as Dink, placed his hand over your mouth. “If you would shut your mouth for even a second, it would greatly lower our chances of getting caught. Not to mention it would really raise our chances of success.” After a quick peek over the bushes to make sure no one heard you, he looked back down at you. “Now please, try to be a little more quiet.” Slowly he removed his hand from your mouth. “Now follow me.” While on hands and knees, Dink crawled under bushes and scurried through the open areas until he felt safe.
Tired from crawling all that way, you leaned against a grey stone wall of the castle and cau

Ceaselessly it stretched before me, surrounding me. Permeating the core of my being, it clogged my mind, choked my spirit. I groped for an anchor, something to keep me grounded…
Then, gradually, the darkness began to clear.
Two pale blue lights materialized in the distance, their mirrored forms sharpening into torches. At last my eyes could adjust, and in the feeble glow I observed my surroundings.
I stood in a dark corridor, surrounded by rough, dirty walls. A flash of silver caught my eyes, glinting in the eerie torchlight…
Metal bars. Rusted with age, they lined the walls on either side before fading into darkness. Thick, unnatural air filled my lungs, and a mysterious chill clung to my body, seeping deep into my flesh. I found myself struggling to breathe, struggling to think…
Wearing only a simple nightdress, I took a few shaky steps, aware of the dirt and grime which
LoZ - Back To Your RootsLink sighed, resting his head in his hands and in turn resting his elbows on the table. It wasn't that he didn't like being at Telma's Bar on this cold winter afternoon; it was just that he had planned on being in Ordon for his birthday, and thanks to the nonstop snowing that had gone on for the past three days, he wasn't able to leave Castle Town without putting himself and Epona in danger. He also felt bad for letting Ilia and Colin and the rest of the kids down after promising he'd be home soon to celebrate with them - he hated having to break promises - so, naturally, he was feeling a little bit blue.LoZ - Back To Your Roots3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Luckily, he had friends here in town to try and cheer him up; namely, his friends in Hyrule's secret resistance group, with whom he'd gotten to be quite close over the past two years. LoZ - Back To The ForestCaptain Link's fever and delirium seem to be worsening with each passing day, despite the measures taken to isolate our men from the epidemic. It is unknown how he managed to contract it, and his agitation and refusal to be quarantined is particularly worrisome; he often expresses his wish to 'return home to the forest'. This is likely a symptom of the illness - the captain has never once mentioned having a hometown in the forest, not even when asked.LoZ - Back To The Forest3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Link sighed and shut the old, yellowed diary, carefully returning it to his pouch. As he thought - the old physician's journal only contained the most bare bones of information on the ancestor who shared his name, and reading it over again wouldn't give him any new clues. He looked up into the canopy of the trees, thanking the Goddesses that it hadn't started snowing on him and that the density of the foliage in this area of Faron had kept the ground mostly clear of the white stuff.

----Chapter 46: Serenity in Shadow PART 1
Only the sound of whirling dust in the wind greeted the plains of Eldin field. The mists of the stormy night had already begun to die away as new light breached the remainder of the graying clouds above. The barrier Ganondorf had erected faded with a final hum of energy. At last the inhabitants of Hyrule and their enemies could converge on Link, but for a long time no one seemed to move as hero and villain stood motionless.
A piercing cry cracked through the winds then, and suddenly, the King of Shadows sprinted toward the broken and blood-splattered hero, flailing his sabers. Link could see desperation in his orange orbs, but Link had no energy and no weapon with which to defend himself. By the time the Hylians readied their weapons and started forward, however, the shadow stumbled and collapsed to the ground … just meters from Link.
Zant cried out, howling and squirming. A rasping sound came from his throat, as if he were

God is my LORD. He will be for eternity. When I felt sad and needed cheering up, I would pray to him and I would know he is listening. Just the other day I felt tempted by the devil and I am so thankful I have realized it. I was scared and confused, I felt like a sheep strayed from the herd. My parents would not let me go to church and I felt like I was slowly drifting away.
But my prayers were not left unheard. I feel like God has taken me back into his hand again, (although he really has never dropped me.) It is a feeling that I cannot experience from any physical substance. God is holy, he is invisible, I cannot touch him, but I feel closer to him than anyone else I can see, feel or touch. I am truly grateful that he has taken me into his care. I am grateful I met people God has planned for me to meet, who has guided me slowly to the ways of the church. It is a miracle. My thanks for the Lord will be for eternity.

They were all running together. He and all the other boys in his class, each one heading to their respective homes.
"Wow," one of one of the children cried, "Link, look at that!"
Link turned his head to the boy who just spoke. He had a hand pointing to an arbitrary place in the sky. Curious, Link glanced along the finger's path to see a red speck flying by the setting sun.
A red bird he thought. A Loftwing is flying up there. Link slowly came to a stop, letting his friends run ahead. Not only was it strange to see a Loftwing without a rider - let alone a red one - but he felt almost entranced by this bird in particular. To have the freedom to soar in that big sky It must be nice. Standing on the now desolate hillside, he glanced despondently at the ground. But, I can't go to that sky.
Determined, Link shook the sensation off and ran to rejoin his classmates. He allowed himself a small smile, but the red Loftwing was still at the back of his mind.

From the moment his presence was requested at the castle, Ravio had a strange feeling something was wrong.
He stood in front of the door leading to the princess' chambers, hesitant to move. Something in him dreaded seeing the young ruler of Lorule, which was very abnormal to him. He'd known her for a long time, and not once did he feel the way he did now.
He fidgeted around, constantly adjusting his sleeves and belt. He was dressed in a formal red tunic—something his princess preferred to see him in, rather than his merchant outfit. The boy suspected it was because it made him look more like a hero. Something he could never be...
Taking a deep breath, he finally knocked on the door.
"You may enter," he heard the feminine, muffled voice say.
Ravio swung the door open and stepped inside. T

Lightning splits the sky above our heads, making it seem like midday for a fraction of a second. Impa grabs me by the waist and lifts me up onto my horse, a white stallion named Strider. There is fear in her eyes as she climbs on and sits behind me, taking the reins. She fears for my life, as my bodyguard and as my friend. She barks a command to the horse and flicks the reins, and Strider leaps forward, galloping down the wet cobblestone streets of Castle Town.
As we run from the dark Castle, Impa whispers in my ear, "It's okay. Everything's going to be all right."
But I know in my heart that it's not. I know my life is in danger, and I know that if I die tonight, my beloved kingdom will die as well. I hear a whinny far behind us, and I make the mistake of looking back. The man from the desert is following us on a jet-black horse with wild eyes.
And they're getting closer, fast.

I walk through the enormous log tunnel that leads to the forest, wondering what the children who live here will think of me, with my red eyes and blood-stained uniform.
I wonder if they’ll even let me in.
The log tunnel opens up to a tiny part of the forest. Tall, skinny trees shoot up from the ground to join the dense canopy above. A rope bridge hangs in front of me, swaying in the light breeze. The air is thick with the sounds of the forest creatures and smells delightfully cozy.
Just like...just like...the garden...at the castle…
I shake my head vigorously. I’ve got to stay awake. It has taken me an entire day to cross Hyrule, and having to run from those bulbous flying death plants across Hyrule Field didn’t help me, either.
I slowly step onto the bridge, and when I find that it is completely sturdy, I walk across and then through another log tunnel into Link’s hometown, the Kokiri Village.
It seems empty but for a few quai

It was stormy that night; the sand was thrown around so much that the windows of every house had to be boarded up to avoid having a desert in their own homes. A young man with tanned skin tossed and turned as the wind howled at his window. He was awake, wide awake. He knew his mother would be back within a few days with the other Gerudo women she had taken and with them, they would bring another member to add to his kingdom, but it would be his sibling too.
It was tradition, he knew, for all mothers-to-be to travel the desert with companions of their choosing to give birth in front of the Goddess of Sand, the stone statue that resided within the Desert Colossus
“How could that be comfortable?” he scoffed kicking the blankets off his front and smoothing down his thin white shirt, almost the colour of sand itself. He stared at the ceiling for a good five minutes before lowering his legs down to the stone floor and slipped his feet into a pair of s
