Nightmare Rarity - Alternate sceneSomething was terribly wrong here. Even at his young age, Spike could tell that something bad was going on. It had not been long since he set foot upon the surface of the moon, hoping to try and help Twilight and the others, and he'd still managed to get himself into trouble. The events of the past few days had been, to say the least, rather difficult for him and everypony else. The others had come here to rescue one of their own. But not just anypony, but one very special to Spike himself.
Rarity, the love of his life. The beautiful unicorn mare whom he'd harboured a crush on ever since he first came to Ponyville. But she had been taken by a force none could have foreseen. A terrible, dark power that had once claimed the life of another important pony. Princess Luna. That darkness had transformed her into the monster known as Nightmare Moon, and whose conflict with Celestia had forced the latter to imprison her beloved sister here in the moon for a thousand years.
Spike hoped very muc
Sweet and Elite - Missing SceneHe sat there at his desk, with his hoof to his chin, pondering with all his might. It had been several days of careful consideration and despite all the time, he still hadn't come any closer to an answer. Things were getting rather stressful for him as he knew the deadline was fast approaching. He hated to think of what might happen if he missed that time. But he couldn't dwell on what might happen. All he had to concern himself was that all-important question.Sweet and Elite - Missing Scene3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
What should he get for his little sister for her birthday?
Shining Armour was sitting in his office in the royal guard tower adjacent to the royal palace. His schedule had allowed for some free time today but he'd spent much of it simply trying to figure out what to get for Twilight on her birthday, which was tomorrow! Even if he could figure it out, he'd have to get the gift to Ponyville, which would eat up even more time.
He started poking the side of his head with his hoof.
"Come on! Think! What to get her?" He said to himsel
Magic duel - Alternate endingShe concentrated her on her spell. This was an important even and she didn't want to make a mistake, especially with so many important ponies watching. Twilight focused hard, her horn glowing it's usual light purple colour ass her magic levitated the nearby animals. Tonight was very special as Princess Celestia herself had arrived in Ponyville to welcome a pair of delegates from the region of Saddle Arabia. The diplomats, along with the Princess, were watching eagerly from the stalls. But they weren't alone, as most of Ponyville had turned up to watch the display.Magic duel - Alternate ending2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Twilight had been pleased to be chosen to host this greeting for the diplomats, but she couldn't allow that to distract her. She had a spell to cast, one which required the utmost concentration. The animals, lent to her by her friend Fluttershy, were all gathered in the middle of the celebration area. They were soon engulfed in the same pale magical glow of Twilight's horn. Fluttershy, who was watching nearby, had buried her
Equestria Girls - Old WoundsTo say that this was an uncomfortable situation would have been the understatement of the century. Twilight, having just met up with her old rival, Sunset Shimmer, was now standing between her and the one pony that the latter probably never wanted to see again, Princess Celestia. The young alicorn knew all too well the kind of history these two had, and was not keen on being here to see what words would pass between them. Glancing to her left, she saw that Sunset was still looking both shocked and, to some degree, terrified at the arrival of her old teacher.Equestria Girls - Old Wounds1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
It was also a difficult situation for the formerly-human Flash Sentry, who was glancing from Sunset to Celestia, and back again. He did not know who the elder alicorn was, only that her presence was causing Sunset great discomfort right now. Twilight couldn't help but envy his ignorance of this situation. After what seemed like an unbearably long silence, Celestia finally broke it by turning her attention to the still-confused stal
Equestria Girls - For the PrincessThough she had been here for a few days now, she still couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by this place. Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, was touring one of the many rooms of her new accommodation, a vast palace, brought into existence by the power of the Tree of Harmony. Until the day of Tirek's defeat, this place did not even exist. Now, it was hers, to do with as she pleased. It was her home, as well as Spike's, and the two of them had been doing everything they could to adjust to this change of scenery, moving in all of the belongings they had which had survived Tirek's assault on the old library.Equestria Girls - For the Princess1 year ago in Romance More Like This
As Twilight walked around the round table in the middle of the palace's main central chamber, that thought gave her pause. That old tree had been her home for many years now, and though this place was truly a marvel, it would never replace the Ponyville library in her heart. Still, that loss was something she and Spike had managed to deal with in the days since their move to

CHAPTER 11: Shelter (First draft. Final version in the works)
The sun continued to rise slowly in the morning chill and the frigid draft of the wind blew through the apple trees of the Apple family. The rumble of thunder echoed in the distance while it whistled around Radiance, making her want to curl into a tight ball. She couldn't hear anything, open her eyes, or move more than a little, but she could feel the bitterness of the breeze down to her bones. Her body shivered and her mind could not think of anything but the cold, as if ice had frozen her in place. Slowly, her senses began to return, and only when the crackle of a small fire could be heard and felt did she relax. Her heavy eyes opened narrowly, watching the blurred movements of the amber sparks in front of her. Their dim glowing air patterns danced before her before rising up into the air and disappearing in the small plume of grey smoke. A figure poked at the smoldering wood, keeping it alive and preventing the w

The Shadowbolts, as they'd been dubbed by Princess Luna, were now sailing through the sky as fast as their wings would take them. It was almost midnight and as the princess had suspected, no-one knew they were in the area. They had encountered no-one on their flight and with their specially-created uniforms, it was unlikely anyone would even see them, especially given how far up they were.
Cumulo, the youngest, looked down at the ground below. Little dots of lights here and there. Candles in the homes of ponies below. Completely unaware that they were up here or that this task even existed. It made him feel important.
But unfortunately for him, that feeling was subsequently replaced by a reminder of the current temperature. Given how far up they were, the air was ice-cold, made no better by the fact that they were flying in the dead of
ForgivenessAs she stood on the marble balcony, gazing out on the setting sun, her thoughts began to wonder. Princess Celestia, guardian of the day and co-ruler of Equestria, had been sensing the rising darkness for some time now. It had been small at first, not worth thinking about. But as time went on, it began to grow in her mind and began to trouble her to no end. She knew that sooner or later she would have to address it. She raised her head and looked out on the brilliantly orange sun touching the horizon before her. She sighed and closed her eyes. Her horn began to glow it's usual yellow as the glowing orb moved further down. A few minutes passed and soon enough, there was darkness across the land. Celestia opened her eyes and looked up at the sky. Darkness but no moon. No stars. She hated seeing the sky like this. Her sister always made it so beautiful. But before she could work the night sky, it always looked so lifeless to her, so dead. A sentiment Luna herself shared.

Three young pegasi, brothers, all lines up in front of the older pegasi's desk.
They were almost identical in appearance. White fur and blue manes. They'd come here hoping to fulfil a lifelong ambition. But now they stood here, receiving news that crushed them utterly.
"I'm sorry. But after careful consideration, we've decided that the three of you are ineligible for entry into the Wonderbolts."
The declaration came from the captain of the Wonderbolts himself. Bluestreak. As his name suggested, his fur was light blue. His mane was grey, the only visible sign of the old pegasi's advanced age. Famed throughout Equestria for his flying prowess. He was an idol of the young pegasi but here, in this place, he was merely the one responsible for crushing their dreams.
The Wonderbolts were the most famous unit of the Equestrian military. Used in the most dangerous and high-risk operations. They'd also gained recognition for their

Chapter 16: I know whose tears would come down to me (First draft. Final version in the works)
Rain poured mercilessly in the deafening wind while three young foals slept inside the small chicken coop. The storm's might was ferocious, its malice unforgiving as even the rising sun itself seemed to hide out of fear of the great power of nature and shone only scarcely through the dismal blanket of the intimidating clouds. The heavy gales rattled the miniature house violently while the great boom of thunder shook the sleeping children to the bone. Inside their rickety shelter, Orion and Bucky slept side-by-side, huddled together to keep warm, their crusader capes shielding them from the cold. Their minds were blank, deep within the sleep they needed so badly. Time travel seemed to affect the very life force of all three of the Crusaders as they each found themselves too exhausted to even notice the rampage of the storm. None of them slept in peace but all remained unconscious. Out

Chapter 17: Dejection and Darkness (First draft. Final version in the works)
Deep inside the Everfree Forest, far away from all civilization, the thundering echoes of magic roared over the ambient chirps of the hidden wildlife surrounding Andromeda and silenced their calls. Sweat poured down her forehead in icy streams as she breathed heavily. Her eyes were bloodshot and her legs felt weak underneath her exhausted body. Every ounce of her might was being channeled into her spell, but it continued to defeat her again and again until the resolve to use magic began to shatter inside of her.
“No, no, no!” she said aloud, shaking her head. “It has to work! It just has to!”
Dirt and moss covered her hooves as she shifted them into a braced position. Slowly, her horn began to glow from a bright yellow to a blinding white. A massive gust of wind blew everything around her like a small hurricane while sparks of blue electricity shot from her horn as usual. E

When she'd first arrived here a few days ago, and witness what she'd feared would be a dangerous confrontation, the skies had been cloudy and menacing. Turning away from the window, Twilight looked upon the gathering of ponies before her. Her brother, Shining Armour, and Cadence were both discussing matters with themselves about everything that had happened. Flash stood vigil next to the magic mirror, which would soon be used. And finally, Twilight smiled as she saw Sunset Shimmer, her old rival, standing alongside the Flash of the human world, both standing before Princess Celestia. They were speaking, but Twilight could not hear them, so she began to move away from the window

Her remark earned her several nods of approval from her surrounding friends. All except Pinkie Pie, who looked at her with a somewhat confused face.

Chapter 5: A Day at the Spa
Lowering herself slowly into the steaming hot tub, Fluttershy let out a long, content sigh while she sank into complete relaxation. Once she had adjusted to the rapid temperature change, she could feel every muscle in her body loosen while she closed her eyes and laid her head back. She needed a day where she could just unwind without having to worry about picking up the kids from school or anything else, and the spa was just what the doctor ordered.
“This feels more amazing every time I come here,” she told Rarity, who sat across from her. “I didn’t even realize I was this tense.”
“You never can,” Rarity replied. “It’s just the stresses of life, I suppose. Sometimes you get so busy in the chaos of the day that you forget how much pressure you’re building up inside. That’s what the spa is for!”
Fluttershy could easily agree on that. Even though it was hard to believe that they had

Chapter 14: Things Get Complicated (First draft. Final version in the works)
Radiance's sapphire eyes bagged from lack of sleep as the sun's orange rays shone through the windows and cracks of the Apple family barn. Rest had eluded her all night thanks to the mix of pain from her broken leg and the vivid activity in her spinning mind. As she watched Bismarck's orange chest rise and sink slightly with quiet breaths, she continued to wonder to herself if this was all just a bad dream. So much had been happening to her that she felt like she couldn't even begin to cope. Within a day, she had gone back in time, broken her leg, gotten caught in a violent storm, possibly lost two of her best friends to that storm, and now the one who wouldn't turn back to find them was sleeping across from her. Pure anger burned inside her at the thought of Bismarck leaving Berry and Cherry to die. Everything in her wished she could stop him.
"How could you?" she asked aloud, knowing he couldn't hear

Chapter 18: Who Are You? (VERY rough first draft. Will be re-written in the future)
Flora continued to fly high above Ponyville, using the white pillowy clouds as cover from the curious eyes below. For two hours she had searched high and low for the foals, in and outside of the small town, but still she found no sign of them. Desperation began to settle upon her like a cold frost when she realized that her only sister could be lost, or worse, hurt from the storm and the fear of that possibility forced her to move quicker and look harder.
“Come on, Peach,” she whispered as she landed on the soft ground. “Where are you?”
Flora’s turquoise eyes continued to scour her surroundings for the tenth time, but the location of the kids eluded her. Her subconscious and heart rattled with anxiety. Her legs shook in panic until her body finally collapsed onto the cloud she stood on, shuddering lightly as she lay. Buried beneath her forearms, Flora’s head

The sun was shining gloriously today, the wind was at a gentle breeze, and all around her tiny cottage was the pleasant sounds of birds chirping in their trees. It brought a smile to her face every time such a day came to her, and she always made the best of it. So, here she was, out in her garden and attending to her flowers. With a watering can in her mouth, she would carefully pour water over them, all the while listening contently to the beautiful songs of her feathered friends. A mother's regretIt was as silent as the grave right now. Twilight sat there, at the other end of the table from Celestia, staring at her beloved mentor with her mouth hanging open. It felt like an eternity since Celestia had spoken, but no amount of passed time could make what she'd said any easier to swallow. It wasn't true, Twilight told herself. This was some sort of joke. There was no way that what Celestia had said could possibly be real. Maybe this was a dream, or even a nightmare.A mother's regret2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
But deep down, she knew that it wasn't. No matter how much she might wish it to be untrue, she had to face reality, however terrible that reality might have become for her. Not wanting to spend the rest of the day with her mouth hanging open, Twilight finally broke the silence.
The words had been hard to get out, almost as though her mouth refused to register them. Celestia meanwhile, merely sat on the other side of the table and quietly nodded. She said nothing, merely waited for Twi

Chapter 6: Swords and Spells
Andromeda sat in her room alone, reviewing the final draft of her work for the tenth time. For several months, every word, formula, and footnote had been analyzed to the most minor detail, but she continued to hover over it. She knew that this kind of obsession was unhealthy, but there was something inside her that compelled her to keep going, like a whisper in the deepest part of her mind.
In the old scrolls that she had found seemingly forever ago, the work of Twilight Sparkle laid before her, daring her to do better and live up to the expectations the world had for the daughter of an Equestrian legend. No matter how hard Andromeda worked to become a respected scientist, it was never enough. In the Academy, many resented her for her relationship with heroes and royalty, and most of her colleagues said that she had only been inducted because of her connections rather than her intelligence and skill. Even her own professors seemed unfair in their
