Goodbye AliceInitially, I thought there would be a lot more great deal of pain when it came to dying. But in the end, it only was an intense heavy and numb feeling, almost like you were hit in the head with a large block of ice. The only notion really that I was really even dying was the metallic taste in my mouth, and the haze in my eyes. I looked at her, her young girlish features tainted by the splatter of my blood. Her eyes remained opened, as if she were to be strangled, and her mouth twitched wildly, most likely from shock. It was sad that that was going to be the expression she wore the last time I saw her. I really don't think I had ever seen anyone as scared as she was at that moment, and if I had had time to reflect on it, I would have been frightened too. With a great jolt, I felt the muscles in my body let go, giving up on my hope. As I fell on top of her, I managed to whisper,Goodbye Alice3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Watch Your Step"Be careful, Alice. Watch your step, Alice," repeated the Cheshire Cat as she walked through the valley of the spikes. He stood in silence as he watched her weave in and out of the sharp, elongated death-trap.Watch Your Step4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
He held his breath, watching as a spike plummeted from the top of the ceiling, thinking her end was near. He closed his eyes hearing the spike sink into the marred ground, his heart stopping. 'Was she gone?' he thought. 'She never bothered to listen to me that silly girl... but now who will save us? Who will save her?' He opened his eyes.
To his shock, the last of the butterflies took off around her as she continued through the maze. She survived. "Impossible..." he said to himself, "but then again, this girl has yet ceased to amaze me." He stood above the shafts, his claws sinking into every board, his golden eyes watching his broken mistress continue forth on her journey.

Entitled Cheshire Cat
By Seth Vandenburg
Wonderlands mysterious grinning feline
His riddles, ever so divine
But on first sight to Alice
Who before, her heart never had malice
The cat was as strange as all the signs
As of now, the Cheshire Cat has changed
His fur, his riddles, all of him rearranged
Body a skeleton-form, a ring in his ear
And his grin was much worse to fear
His teeth, completely fanged
His sudden transformation, so very uncouth
All of him changed, body to tooth
No normal man would dare to delve
To fight the Cheshire Cats corrupted shell
Though Alice was calm, to tell the truth
They both journeyed together through Wonderland
Through treacherous hordes of enemies, band by band
The Red Queens domain, they soon appear
The end game forever near
Though sadly, the Cheshire Cat met his end by the Red Queens hand

With ill fated fate on breath, such sins.

Why, travelers that wander here,

Now run, run little birds, have no fear,
We're all quite mad, Quite awfully mad, here.'

Turning the key, pocketing it. The gears turn, squeaking.
Run, Alice! Run!
Care not for the fools in your way, nor the children who swarm like bees.
Avoid the pests, they are merely insects.
The citizens mean nothing.
They are nothing, Alice.
The riddles the Cat made, you must miss.
They twist your mind to fit this place...
Your mind becomes more confused than ever.
Fight it, Alice. Battle your curiosity.
Those enemies of yours will cower easily... but you let them stir fear in your heart.
You do not know your own mind!
It is your own doing, your own fault... Your own life.
Is this what it is meant to be, Alice? Is this what you intended?...
Your efforts are squashed, ripped apart by your doctor.
He burns your memories, shatters your family...
Will you listen to his words, Alice?
Will you give in?...
But you are.
You are taking in his lies... corruptions...

After re-joining with the others, Alice, Sora, Donald and Goofy travelled to a desolate and forbidden place with lava fountains and skeletons scattered all over the place. Inside, they could hear the growling of the Jabberwock, the Red Queen’s champion.
‘Must we go in there?’ Donald asked, his legs shaking.
‘We came so far.’ Goofy said. ‘There is no turning back.’
Sora looked at Alice. He grabbed her hand and gave it a slight squeeze. Alice squeezed back and smiled at him before letting go. The group readied their weapons and strode slowly into the lair. As they enter the lair, they stopped as they behold a creature that was most horrifying so far during their encounter. The creature resembled a giant, green lizard with mechanical wings, glowing yellow orbs for eyes and a burning furnace attached to its’ chest. This half-monster and half-machine was en

"You have no idea how happy I am to see you," Alice breathed, as she clutched Hatter tight. Slowly they broke apart from their embrace, and studied each other silently for a moment.
Hatter's clothes were somewhat more humanoid, his trademark hat absent from his head and a new one in his hand, his thick brown hair less tousled and more smooth and combed over-but there was that sexy mischievous glitter in his eye, and regardless of all the physical changes, she knew it was still him, still Hatter, still her Hatter.
Hatter gazed at Alice, knowing that he would never let himself lose her again. He'd journeyed into this strange world just to find her, and finally here she was, right before his eyes. Before he could think better of it, he leaned in slightly and found her lips. He felt Alice's hand reach up to rest on his neck as the kiss deepened. "I missed you," he said softly as he pulled back for a moment,

And every creature lends themselves to change your state of mind
And the girl that chased the rabbit, drank the wine, and took the pill
Has locked herself in limbo to see how it truly feels
To stand outside your virtue
No one can ever hurt you

She crawls into the window
Through shapes and shadows
And even though she's dreaming, she knows
Sometimes the curiosity can kill the soul but leave the pain
And every ounce of innocence is left inside her brain
And through the looking glass we see she's painfully returned
But now off with her head I fear is everyone's concern
You see there's no real ending
It's only the beginning
Come out and play

He had told her he and his brothers were having a picnic tonight and invited her to join them. April said yes without hesitation. Little did she know Donnie somehow forgot to tell his brothers about it. So it would be just the two of them, and this could be considered a date, right?Junkyard Date2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It was the perfect plan. April was somewhere in the sewers together with Splinter, doing some training exercise. She wouldn’t be back before tonight. All he had to do was making his brothers leave the lair before April was back and preparing everything for the picnic. The first one was a bit tricky, but he had a solution for that was well. He would tell his brothers that he was going to the junkyard tonight, looking for some usable things and that he might need some help bringing all the stuff home. This usually made them come up with some lame excuse. And

It was a shock for Alice to wake up in a hospital bed. It was even more of a shock when she was told that she had only been in that building for an hour.
It couldn't have been an hour! She had spent two days in Wonderland. Two days, not an hour!
It was the Looking Glass; it had to be the Looking Glass. It had put her back in her own world not long after she left kind of like in 'Narnia'!
It wasn't till she was home and packing up the things she had used to search for her dad that she noticed it. She couldn't believe she hadn't noticed it before. The large green tattoo like mark on her arm was gone. Not even a faint trace of it left.
She heard Hatter's voice echo through her head. 'That's not going to come off Sorry!'
"Well, it's off Hatter," she said grimly.
She realised that she didn't want it to be gone. Because if it was there it meant that everything that happened was really real.
Of course it was real, what was she thinking. There was no way

It was just another day at the asylum. I often pondered as to why I had chosen to work here, the profession bored me endlessly, and even the screaming had lost its affect on me. Shouldnt I be avoiding all aspects of human life?
Then I smelt the delectable scent of human blood and smiled. I knew why.
A human asylum was such a convenient place to be able to feed. These humans were not cared about, the psychos of society, the nut cases, the crazies. No one particularly cared if a few went missing. The admission dates and the dates on their tombstones always matched up. I figured I was sparing them from the horrible tortures the other carers used to cure them. Shock treatments and crude brain surgery.
I wandered up and down the generic concrete corridor; I could hear the screams of the surviving patients. I had to be inconspicuous you see, not all of them could disappear at once, though my mouth filled with venom at the thought.
Focus I told myself.

She was testy and irritable, as she usually was, but today's events seemed to goad within her a certain anxiousness to accompany her bad temper.
Stayne, standing dutifully next to her, watched her fingers clench and unclench on the arms of the throne. She bit her lip and made a visible attempt to relax, leaning back into the large throne as far as her massive head would allow, only to lean forward again, picking up her small scepter to flick some imaginary dust off of it.
The Knave's brows creased, not so much out of concern than for curiosity. Normally when the Red Queen had something on her mind, some trifle or another, she wasted no time in whining to him about how it wasn't fair or that it was giving her a headache.

So he ambushed the three of them after school and put them in mind of leaving his girlfriend alone the hard way. That was the last time they made a move on Stacey.
