But this truth I shall say.
That you were the demon,
that made me this way!
And though I am hiding,
It's hard when it's lurking beneath:
This anger and hatred,
It's all I believe.
So don't speak or I'll hurt you,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
But you are the ending,
Of this broken story.
So tell me, dear Father,
What can you say,
To boy whom you twisted;
When you pushed him away.

I see you're hiding behind long sleeves.
I can see you trying to cover up your "ugly side" with gemstones and lace, with pretty clothes and make up.
But, hello darling.
You can show me.
I see you're pushing away your dinner.
I can see you thrusting fingers down your throat into the sink, trying to hide your secret with laughter and smiles.
But, hello dear.
You can show me.
I see you're hiding behind these precious things that the others care so much about.
I see you're upset with who you are, in fear that who you are might upset others.
I see you're broken, and I see, you're outspoken. You're lost and confused.
I see you're trying to hide something.
But, hello honey,
You can show me.
Because I don't care what they say about you.
I won't listen.
The Sun and the Rain (poem)The Sun and the Rain (poem)2 months ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
The sun was a pretty girl;
Dressed in ribbons and bows.
Each day she brightened up the earth
With her crimson orange glow.
The rain was cold and bitter;
Friends with the sleet and snow.
His heart hung heavy with misery,
His songs were full of woe.
One day they collided.
The sun said “Don’t you know?
The grey and cloudy tears will soon disappear;
I think you’re great just so.”
So up in the sky together
They let their love flow.
It leapt from their hearts, across the world
And became a rainbow.
A Song from the House of MisersA Song from the House of Misers1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
There is a sound from the House
The House of Misers alike
Bitter and gray it rings about
Twirling around the heads on pikes
Its notes scratch upon the door
The House creaking and swaying along
Disharmonious screams to hum upon
Finding where the fallen belong
Wooden shambles hang a loft
All dirt and shadow to create
Musical melodies to join with voices
Throats rasped with dusty hate
Shaded clouds overhang
A curtain above the center stage
Let the orchestra play as well
Its boneless fingered members age
Piano, oh where art the pain?
Broken keys add such a taste
All in House of Misers sing
A river of bloody haste
Puddles of black to be seen
Dripping through the rotten floor
Let the Song turn to make it seem
Blacker, blacker all the more...

CLAIMER: I OWN THIS STORY. THIS IS MY ORIGINAL WORK.
The crescent moon shone brightly in a star less and cloudless sky. People bustled, to and fro, trying to finish their Christmas shopping. They were steadfast on their task, focusing on the area on front of them, display windows, the time and running through gift checklists to make sure they had everything.
One man, however, wasn't rushing to make sure that all gifts were wrapped and all stockings were stuffed. Instead, he walked, ambled really, along the sidewalks that held the busy people and looked up at the sky and breathed in the cool night air.
He was happy, content. This was one of his favorite times of the year. Everything was lit up in celebration of the holiday, people laughed and joked, children played and enjoyed their fun without worry of anything else. It ha

summary: It was a bittersweet relationship, more bitter than anything, but it was always sweet. Axel wished it happened. He wished that Roxas did it. He wished things were different. Axel would have given Roxas whatever he wanted. Unfortunately, Axel couldn't.
It All Started With A Hand
Everyday, when they hung out on top of the clock tower at Twilight Town's Station Plaza, he would always have his hand out to the side of his body, hoping that he would reach out and take it. It was a futile and vain hope, definitely, but that never stopped him from doing it. It never stopped him from sitting down next to him with their sea salt ice cream that he only ate just for him and talking about their missions and whatever else came to mind. It never stopped him from leavin

He was tapping his fingers on the keys of his laptop, trying to get a spark of inspiration of something to write. He sipped a bit of his cappuccino as his fiancée came to sit down across from him.
“Some storm you were caught in.” He remarked.
She shook her head violently, letting rain spill out of her frizzy hair. “Yeah. I should’ve taken a taxi.” She laughed.
“Well, why didn’t you?” He asked.
“Couldn’t find one. Do you see how dark it is outside?” She pointed out the window of the coffee shop to the rain ravaging the city outside. A streak of lightning lit up the sky, followed by the low rumble of thunder.
“I guess it would be hard to find a taxi in this weather.” He replied. He put his
The Show Must Go On - Chapter OneOne thing that some ponies don’t realize, is that when a story starts, right before that one big thing that changes everything forever, life feels normal. You don’t get a warning, there's no sign that says “Hey, something is going to change”. Maybe that’s for the best. Because if we knew everything that was going to happen, we’d be prepared. No more surprises, no more mistakes, no more of those tiny little things that make us who we are. If you were told everything that was going to happen, wouldn’t you try to change it? Just once? Of course you would, nopony wants something bad to happen to them. But, if you keep all the bad from happening, you might never get to experience the good that can come out of it.The Show Must Go On - Chapter One5 months ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

People who lack purpose will look to others for help.
Others will look to god.
Those who do neither will look to Death.
But these people should know.
When Death turns them down.
Through friends and people stopping you.
It is not your time yet.
Be with your friends.
Or live to make happiness.

It was a dark, cool night. His friends were at a party, but he was lying at home, under the covers, his hands folded neatly over his torso. Instead of falling into a deep, relaxing sleep, he stared at the ceiling with his sad brown eyes. A large sigh escaped his mouth, and he fought back the tears.
"Oh, boy," he whispered quietly to himself. "While all my friends are out having fun, I'm here all alone trying not to cry." He thought of the party, secretly wishing he was there. Then maybe he wouldn't be so lonely.
Throwing the covers off of him, he walked to the window and opened it up. A cool breeze came in. The trees and mountains were black silhouettes against the deep blue, never ending abyss above. He couldn't see the moon, but thousands of bright stars blanketed the sky.
His lip quivering, his body trembling, he took a deep breath and began to talk. "Mother, father, Josef, if you can hear me, I want you to know that I love you. I'm doing alright down here. Times are getting a littl

It’s a good deal.
You take as you please without giving anything up.
No need to lose, only gain.
Stuff your pockets.
Caught. Scolding. Promising never to take again.
It’s no fun disappointing.
Tail between your legs.
Lying. Sneaking. Breaking that promise you made.
What? It’s a good deal.
Take as you please and just don’t get caught.
Months. Years. As time grows, so do you.
And as you grow, you get smart.
When you get smart, you do what you do more efficiently.
Full. Heavy. That’s how your pockets felt.
Adding more to your stash each and every time.
Taking, never thinking.
Why would you?
Relaxing. Having a good time.
Hold on, you have to leave for a sec.
When you return, he’s looking at you with a familiar look.
Your pockets got too heavy.
Your taking grows less sneaky, less smart.
But you wise up.

The way you brushed my hair
Made cuts and bruises disappear
The way you taught me life wasn’t fair.
I miss how we read comics
How you made me wear dresses
Saturday cartoons was OUR THING
I’d die for your warm embraces
Time’s supposed to make things better
But maybe my clock is broken
I still can’t bring myself to remember
The last things that were spoken
I should have given you more love
More attention, more days of the week
Should have told you I loved you
Every second till my lungs grew weak
But I can’t, and you’re gone
I hate it but it’s still true
And when I reach out for warmth
I get nothing but memories of you
I could have been so much better
Gone to bed when I was told
Should have helped you with the dishes
But I didn’t see you as old.
I was too busy with my problems
Stress took up all my time
And while you were sick and forgotten
I mumbled about my useless strife.
I should have held your hand more

Chapter 2: A New Life
The air outside of Sweet Apple Acres began to fill with tension as two Pegasus’ were trying to ponder what had just happened. Fluttershy was doing her best not to show the blush on her face while Caster Forge was mentally freaking out from his actions.
'What are you doing Cast, you've only just met her and you're already acting like a little colt again.' He thought to himself in a disappointing tone. 'You have to remember what you promised yourself all those years ago.'
After a few minutes of regaining their composure, the yellow Pegasus decided to speak to her friend.
“So um, shouldn’t we be heading to the farm now?” She said trying not to look directly at Caster.
“Yeah, I guess we should.” The light brown Pegasus said a tad nervous.

Chapter 3: Crossed Feelings
The delicate rays of the late summer sun shined down upon the town of Ponyville, covering it in a warm glow. It reflected off of the leaves in the trees that were beginning to turn red and brown indicating the approaching autumn. A small gust of wind soon came rushing by and caused one of the leaves to fall of its own accord. As it slowly drifted towards the ground, the sound of hoofsteps echoed through the forest. When the leaf gently touched the ground, a large pink hoof suddenly came down and crushed it giving out a small crunch sound; the pony paid it no mind and continued on her path. This pony was commonly known as Lily, she had a light pink coat and a blonde tail and mane that partially covered one of her eyes. Her name complimented the cutie mark she had of three water lilies and the trademark one she always wore in her hair. She was walking through the woods on the outskirts of Ponyville making her way to the home of

After getting rid of the blush on their faces, the two Pegasus’ made their way to the Carousal Boutique. Upon entering, Caster was suddenly tackled by a white unicorn mare in a bone crushing hug. At the same time Fluttershy jumped back in surprise.
"What is this affectionate mare day or something?" He said, the blush reappearing on his face.
"I heard the speech you made all the way from here it was simply wonderful. Now I know that we all have a friend we can rely on." Rarity said releasing him from her grip a little embarrassed.
"Thank you Rarity I’m glad to hear somepony say that, speaking of being relied on, I have those pieces that you asked for just hold on a second." The stallion said as he rummaged through his saddle bags.
He then pulled out a collection of carved golden pieces that looked like they had been disassembled from a royal chest plate. The marshmallow colored unicorn took the items in her hooves and inspected them closely
