Sirius Black sat by himself on a bench in the courtyard. He was sitting hunched over, twiddling his wand with his fingers. His book bag sat at his feet, contents spilling on the stone floor as he waited. What in Merlin's name was taking James so long?
There weren't many other people in the courtyard. Sirius found himself exceptionally bored, but James had asked him to wait there. Sirius let out a loud sigh.
He watched as Severus Snape passed through the yard, hunched over and tightly hugging his books. He walked at an awkwardly fast pace, his eyes toward the ground.
Sirius found himself annoyed at the sight of him. Why did he have to walk like that? And his books- who carried their books like that? How it irritated him so. He just wanted to smack him right in that great giant nose of his. As Snape walked by him, Sirius gave a flick of his wand, and Snape tripped and fell to the ground.
Sirius let out a loud bark of laughter. "All right, Snivelly? Better watch where you're going next ti

Then you shift your gaze at the dinner table.
Your eyes widen, “Wow.”
This is the most beautiful dining table you’ve ever seen, with the great amount of scrumptious-looking and aromatic rations on top (pasta, steak and salad) and the crystal silverware, with glasses brimming with Iced Tea.
Or maybe that’s because you’re hungry.
Either way, you take a moment to look around the dining room: it’s rather different from those at the Stark Mansion. It’s more classical and luxurious, with a golden chandelier above and a sleek, wooden dining table with eight matching chairs – three at each side and a throne on each end – and an opaque glas
Imprisoned Seeking Solace-Chapter TwentyAfter about six hours and the setting of the sun, Thor and Jane finally got the 'Okay' to let you get back to Loki. You trekked tiredly through the castle back to your and Loki's apartment. The guard let you in without question. Your eyebrows lifted as you saw a trail of red rose petals. It led to about the middle of the living room, then forked into two separate paths, one toward the hallway to the rest of the place and one toward the darkened corner of the living room. Next to the latter trail, there was a note, written in Loki's elegant hand, reading 'Follow Me First.' You smiled. This must have been part one of the surprise. When you followed the path, you came upon a stunning dress, in your favorite color. Pinned to it was a note: 'Put me on, then follow the other roses.'Imprisoned Seeking Solace-Chapter Twenty2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This

With a killer headache you slowly and painfully opened your eyes, though no matter wither you had your eyes opened or closed only darkness engulfed your vision, except for a small beam of bright light straight ahead of you. You were lying on a cold tiled floor, you tried to move your hands from behind you only to realise that they were tightly tied behind your back. You had the feeling that you were in a tight compact room, the sound of a wooden brush or mop hitting the floor when you accidentally kicked it when forcing yourself to sit up and causing it to echo throughout the room confirmed your assumption.
As you staggered to your feet, you walked forward to what you believed was the door due to the beam of light coming from the gap at the bottom. Turning around so you were facing away from the door, you felt around for the handle, desperately trying to open the door and get the hell out of here before anything else happened. You fumbled around for what felt like forever, but was only

Hours had passed by as though they were only mere minutes as the three of you sat in the cold laboratory of St Bart’s, and yet as every hour passed by nothing had really changed. John was sat across from you at the workbench with his head resting on his folded arms, he had dozed off within the first half of an hour after you three had arrived. Sherlock had moved from sitting at one of the workbenches to the floor, bouncing a rubber ball against the floor that then hit off one of the cupboards before bouncing back to him. He constantly repeated the movement, making the thuds of the rubber ball’s impact against the surfaces echo throughout the silent lab.
Even though Sherlock had told you that no matter what he would try to keep you all safe, something deep inside your mind kept telling you differently. However way you thought about it, you couldn’t figure out just what Moriarty’s next act would be and what the consequences would be, yet your head knew that this w

(Name) and Steve spent a few glorious minutes on the topic of their favorite superheroes. His heart gave a small flutter when she confessed that hers was Captain America. Smiling, she lazily ruffled her hair and looked up into his shimmering blue orbs. The singers should be up soon, do you want any popcorn? I am thinking about getting some.” Steve said popping trough the looming bubble known as awkward silences. He hopped off the truck with incredible ease and watched as the girl gave him a nod of approval. That was all he needed before bounding off like a puppy, eager to please his master or in this case a girl.
During the wait he couldn’t help but to look back from time to time to make sure she was okay. Maybe it was the hero in him or the fact that he had lost so many friends and loved ones, but in a crowd like this he worried for her. The blonde felt like she was his responsibility as long as she was on his truck or near hi,

You put everything in their places and tiptoed in the corridor towards the bedroom door that Tom must have closed after you. With each step you took you could hear Tom’s muffled voice better, as soon as you could make out the words he uttered you froze on your spot—you were going to eavesdrop even if it meant for your feet to get extremely cold with the tiles under them.
“Chris, man I know it sounds crazy but I’ve never felt this way in my life before I…” he got interrupted, you assumed it was Chris telling him something.
“I feel like a high school boy, my heart is pounding so fast with her around me. I know, I know what I want to do is crazy but I don’t mind it. I want her to stay, she might get mad but I have a feeling we won’t even have to…” Tom was interrupted again with voices you couldn’t hear; you would die to hear the complete conversation though.

NightmaresThe time first he had the nightmare, he was alone. Laying in his cot, breathing hard and trembling in the aftershock of the dream, he wondered what he had done to have the memory of the chariot coming toward him and the pain of it colliding with him crashing back into his head when he had just began to forget about it. Breathing out a long, shaky sigh, he rearranged himself and mentally prepared himself for a long, sleepless night.Nightmares4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

Still trying hard to calm himself and appear asleep, he jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Running up the stairs and almost tripping on the last step brought you to arrive at the top landing that lead to the flat of 221B. Taking a deep breath, you marched into the flat with no hesitation or even a thought that there could possibly be another explosion. But you didn’t care. You had to find him. You had to make sure he was alive and ok.
Yes, so he could be a right pain in the arse most of the time but he was your friend. And you were his -even though he would never admit to such a thing, ‘Caring is a disadvantage’ he had said.
You stopped dead in your tracks at the doorway of the flat. The living room was completely trashed, bits of paper everywhere, broken pieces of glass and wood from the frames of the windows lying mostly all over the floor and John’s desk, and not forgetting to mention the cloud of dust that was attacking the air around the room causing you to cover your mouth with one hand and cough and squint your eyes. You stood and ventured to your vanity to comb out your [h/c] hair. You completed your ensemble with matching boots. You briefly admired yourself in the mirror, then opened your door and walked into the golden corridor.Masquerade-Chapter 22 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This

Months had passed since that night at the pool. Neither John nor Sherlock or yourself had spoken of the incident and thankfully, you were glad that they never brought it up. That night had scarred your mind. Some nights you would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat after dreaming that you were back in that pool, drowning. Sometimes your dreams would be different, worse than drowning. That night would replay in your subconscious mind, though the events in which took place would twist into monsters of the night, shaping the incident into something that never actually happened, but would seem so real. In this horrific nightmare someone always died, either you, John or Sherlock. One of you three would always die along with Patrick. Oh, how his face haunted you whenever you closed your eyes, it was all you could picture, his ice cold face with ice glazed hazel eyes, staring into your eyes as though he were blaming you: that this was your fault.

Steve was sitting on the couch, mouth hanging open. Okay, he probably looked really stupid right now. Luckily no one was around to see it. He shook his head, trying to clear it.
He just saw a commercial of Disneyland in California.
And he wanted to go there.
Okay, he was a grown up man and maybe it was embarrassing, but he wanted. Badly.
Everything seemed so colorful, people were cheerful. It was just.. Magical. Yes, it was an accurate word. Magical.
Suddenly Steve wanted nothing more than go there. And he was sure that if he would ask Tony, they go, after a lot of mocking from brunet's side, of course. But he was embarrassed to ask. Again, he was an adult. A soldier, Captain. With a heavy heart he admitted to himself that he would never see Disneyland.
Steve started gently. Trying to give Tony small hints. So when one day, Tony walked into the living room and saw his boyfriend watching a Mickey Mouse cartoon, a black and white, with terrible animation, on

He had grew up hearing stories about him, told by his dad every night before bedtime. Howard was gesticulating vividly, eyes sparkling as he was telling tales of the brave soldier.
And Tony loved Steve, in this sincere, sweet way kids are only capable of.
When Tony was growing up the bedtime stories had stopped.
Now, Tony was running through the corridors, swinging Captain's America shield, laughing happily as Howard was running after him, pretending to be Red Skull.
When he was a teen, all Captain America merchandise was pushed into the far corner of his room.
He hated Captain America.
He hated the disapproving looks his dad always gave him each time Tony messed up something.
He hated the father-to-son talks Howard gave him, each time pinpointing Captain America as a role model.
Tony didn't understand how come his dad had all this time to talk about some fallen hero, instead

You rushed into Tony’s lab, slamming the door against the wall gaining his attention. He glanced up at you before returning to his work. Clearly he didn’t see how flustered and panic you were.

I left you because I didnt know how to talk to you.
I would try to have a conversation, and youd get that look in your eyes that put you off in a world of your own machinations, and I was stuck there with the thin shell of you. Its hard to talk to shells. When I would ask you if you were all right, you always said you were. No matter what the case. Even if you were sick and coughing up your lung or something. I had this terrible nightmare once that you were in a car accident and I ran to you to find the bottom part of you flung across the intersection, and your torso draped like wet towels across your seat and you told me that you were feeling fine. Some days, I would look in your eyes and everything in your world was breaking and melting and sliding down into a great, terrible heap at the base of you that made your feet heavy. But you wouldnt tell me. I

She gathered the strange Beginning-Stuff that had formed her and cast it out of herself in a shape like a bubble. She looked around the bubble and said, 'I've done something interesting. I think I'll call it Creation, after myself. But it still looks rather empty...' And so she used a fragment of her Beginning-Stuff to create a palace to live in, unlike anything that you and I have ever seen, all glittering and massive and full of strange shapes and piping music. Then, with a few more pinches of Beginning-Stuff, she made servants to look after her home and keep her company.
The Creator said, 'I'm tired. What I've made looks good enough for now.' And with that, she bundled up the rest of the Beginning-Stuff and put it in a basket, which she kept in her chambers until she was ready to use it.
Now, one of
