Steam must be reading my mindlol. Had a funny coincidence recently. On Wednesday night I was talking to my friend Jordan about the Batman Arkham series. (He still hasn't played Arkham City yet. He's out of his mind!)Steam must be reading my mind2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I was asking for his opinion on whether or not I should purchase Arkham Origins or whether I should skip it and wait for Arkham Knight during the latter part of the year.
I know that Arkham Origins wasn't developed by Rocksteady studios, the devs that made the first two games. Plus I heard it was bugged as all Hell on release and felt more like an expansion than a transformative sequel. Hence why I was tentative to get it.
I woke up on Thursday morning and checked the Steam store page and what do I find?
Weekend deal! 75% off all Batman games!
I was flabbergasted. I remember checking the store while I was talking to Jordan on Skype and it was still going for its original price. So I decided to take advantage of this opportunity. I got the main game, the season pass and the Black mas

Anyway, Hello one & all :iconhiddlestonplz:
How has everyone been then? Good? Lovely! :iconimhappyplz:
I am currently dealing with a great deal of Post-Con-Blues right now, but I thought it was best to document the events as best I can X'D well the best parts of it. Doing it day by day would take forever. So excuse the derpy style of me covering everything X'D
It terms of cosplay: I did do my Sho Minamimoto one, but I didn't have much time to get photos done, however, I did shout a great deal of random stuff through my megaphone X'D. Zimos (Saints Row) went down very well with people, I am glad I looked okay. Many thanks to Kelly for that really & I am glad it made her happy ahaha. Someone told me some guys passing by asked one another 'Is that person Samuel. L. Jackson?'.

I had been thinking about doing something like this for a while. Outlining why I enjoy certain characters and who better to start out with than my favorite superheroine, Supergirl.
I feel slightly bad that I can't recall when I first learned of Supergirl's existence. After much thinking (and head pounding) my best guess is it was with the Superman: The Animated Series episode Little Girl Lost. Now before I was a Supergirl fan I was (still am but as I say, Kara is easier on the eyes lol) a Superman fan. I know people call him boring, a boy scout, but Superman is the archetype superhero. Personally, I like the idea of an absolute good guy hero so Supes always will be one of my favorite heroes. So as a much younger Mad Man (minus my pen though) I watched STAS and fed my growing love of the DCAU. Then we get to Little Girl Lost and I meet Supergirl.
an About Me thingyIn case anyone cares, I wrote a small story about how I got where I am. It's not a big deal, it's just in case people actually WANT to know about me as an artist before buying my hoodies or something ^_^an About Me thingy3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm going to start this story farther back than I should, but really it took a lot of adventures to get to where I am right now-- twists and turns and loop-de-loops and it all brings me here.
I've been in love with costuming since I was about 11-years-old. I handed my dance studio's costumer a book of my sketches of costume designs for all of my different dance numbers, and although she was unable to make any of my little squiggle drawings into a reality, she encouraged me to keep trying. And so I did.
I left dance and started costuming at a high school theatre at 15-years-old-- since I was homeschooled, they let me be in their plays if I did costuming for them. By the end of my junior year, I had enough hours in costuming that I could've lettered in Theatre-- at a school I didn't even

Hey there, everyone! Some exciting news I read on this blog from tumblr enseeseven. Also a friend of mine, who lives in England, had snapped some pictures for me. Disney will be re-releasing 23 of their Disney movies, but with the villains of each movie as the box cover. Yes, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is included so Frollo's face will be proudly displayed on the box cover. My sister was so happy to see that Professor Ratigan is there too for The Great Mouse Detective.

To the West Coast!I'm sorry for the lack of updates from me! My life has been pretty crazy lately luckily with all (hopefully) good news! I've announced it a few places but next week I'll be moving out to California! Who knows how long I'll be out there, but hopefully for the next many years! I know a few of you know that I got a job out there, but I don't want to say anything about it until it officially goes through! To the West Coast!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
But because of that my con schedule con a bit rearranged! I will no longer be attended Colossalcon, which bums me out since it's one of my favorite cons, but I will be attending Anime Expo and hopefully San Diego Comic Con! (And if there is any other good west coast cons, you should let me know!)
I'm really excited for warm winters, as a northern midwest girl... I'm a bit tired of the cold. Hopefully I can make some new friends out there!!
I also want to do a shout out for my friend who makes awesome jewelry! I already own a piece of hers, but I might
CommissionsSo I'm finally getting off my rump and opening up commissions.Commissions2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today I'll be posting the kinda prices I'm working with, so what you'll get for *blank* amount of money, what's free and what costs more. Animations will be included in commission options but I'll not be doing anything beyond a minute at the moment. If this takes off or at least gives me something to work with I'll also be picking up new copic markers and copic marker cards will be added into the list of commission options. As it stands, the only markers I own are red, dark green, brown, peach, black, grey and a blender so if you want something that involves only those colours let me know and we can work something out.
Hopefully in few weeks I'll be posting a set of examples.
For now, here are the prices. If you've got anything you really want send me a PM. If you wanna see what you'll be getting for your buck, hold onto that idea for another seven days.
Bust --> $5 (+$2 per chara)

If you want power, you need to turn the outlets on, and to do that you gotta push a switch down.
TV has far fewer commercial breaks.
English police are super nice (watched the British version of "COPS" and was amazed at how polite everyone was, even the criminals).

American-centric music doesn't stay here (Heard "Sweet Home Alabama" quite a number of times over there).
You are not expected to tip people (this was very hard for me to accept and I always felt guilty not tipping our waiters).
You are not expected to clean up your messes in food courts or.. anywhere actually (Janitors come by and clean up for you. Has something to do with security and getting rid of bomb threats).
Elevators are called Lifts.
Air conditioning seems scarce.

A little about the Superman designs in my galleryIt all began as I was nonchalantly channel surfing one day in early April, and I happened upon Superman the Animated series. Immediately I was thrown back into the early 90's when I was a kid, and afternoons were spent playing outside then running into the house at 3 to watch Superman. I started to remember how much I actually used to love Superman and I was suddenly inspired to draw.A little about the Superman designs in my gallery2 years ago in Personal More Like This
As some of you may have noticed Lois, Jimmy, and Clark vary a bit with each drawing in my gallery. That phenomenon is due to me never being quite satisfied with their designs. In each drawing I play with different influences, shapes, and styles, but at the same time, I try to stay true to the characters and how I would want to draw them as an artist. In April and May I drew most of the Superman designs and illustrations that are in my gallery now. Sorry! I never actually upload any new work, I'm weirdly sporadic like that.
Eventually a story idea began forming in my head. I w

Do you know how to sketch human figures but do you want to refine your anatomy skills? Or do you not know anatomy at all and you are tired to trust your imagination? Did you notice you create disproportions in your drawings?
If you are aspiring artists and you already have your own style, you might as well believe you have no need of a guide, but you are wrong. Before exaggerating human proportions and begin to have your own style, you first have to know the basics.
This little guide is the result of an accurate research and 5 years of high school of art, and it's created for all those who want to learn something new or just make a useful review.
For those who have already studied art, my suggestion is to go to step 6 or trying to repeat all steps in Digital format.
First of all, if you want to learn faster you should draw using traditi

Hello my dears
So, AAC was a blast and I'm currently waiting to hear whether or not I have a table at Anime Boston this coming year. :/ I should hope so, since I signed up the minute I could. Stupid AB with their crazy, unorganized scheduling. They had an art contest I had entered for a free table and I didn't win, but I did get an honorable mention, so I guess that's better than nothing lol.
Anyway, my #1 focus right now is my webcomic (well, more like web-epic), The Lumis Altar. I don't have a lot of support for it yet, but I guess that's to be expected when you only have 13 pages up and the main character hasn't even been introduced. I assure you, it's going to be worth the wait. I realize that there are thousands of we
