Last year, I was lucky enough to attend at San Diego Comic-Con. It has been the best experience (or one of the best) of my life. It felt like a whole other planet, Geekoida or something, it was all so dream-like. And while I was there a LOT of coincidences happened one after the other. One of the must unlikely was on my last night there at San Diego, when I moved to a different hostel (they were all full by the time I got my badge, so I had to stay in two different hostels). On my last night there, as I entered my room, I felt someone behind the door, and they told me something like "Not to scare you, but there's someone down here", I checked behind the door and there was this girl with the most beautiful big eyes, and I just replied "Sorry, I hope I didn't hit you", and then I realized something, and asked "Hey, aren't you Lisa... Lowe? Loo? i don't know how it should be pronounced..." (Now I know, it's "Lisa Loo Hoo") and she said "Lisa Lou Who? Yeah, that's me"
HOLY FLYING COWS!!!Lisa-Lou-Who was there in the same room!!!
Anyway, I was exhausted, but the day wasn't over yet. I stayed there and talked with her a little, and asked for a photo for people to believe me (but I wasn't smart enough to put myself there in the photo with her). The night went on and I ended up going back to my room way later than I expected (I wanted to sleep early that night).
I think I should have try to contact her sooner, buy I didn't think of anything effective until just a few months back. So I took the idea from a sketch she shared on facebook some time ago and gave it a cartoon treatment. I hope she actually sees this, and more so, I hope she likes it.
Also, as my social skills are virtually none, I never actually introduced myself to her and was just like "O hey! I like your costumes !!" So this might count as my fist attempt to contact her and tell her "I'm Joré and I make silly drawings".
So if you happen to read this, I hope I get the chance to meet you again and not act like an idiot XD (I should have tryied to contact you sooner, so that you might actually be able to remember all of this).
--WARNING! SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE EPISODE "A GOOD MAN GOES TO WAR DO NOT READ FUTHER!--
So, in the current season of Doctor Who, I like that Rory's being given moments to step up and show that he's not just a "tin dog" like Mickey was. This kind of came to a head in the episode "A Good Man Goes to War", where he ran around the universe, in his Roman gear, being bad-ass and getting ready to go to war with The Doctor against the people that had Amy.
I really liked this scene, so I did a quick drawing of it.
