I spent way more time on this photo than I had originally anticipated. While shooting photos of my local zoo's snow leopards, I was SO excited to find that they were awake and active (in comparison to their usual, sleepy selves). So, I shot many photos of these beautiful felines while I was visiting them, only to be totally bummed out by the fact that a protective net was obscuring every inch of my view. Regardless, I kept shooting photos. In post-production, I used Adobe Photoshop CS5 to remove the netting and to sharpen the image, as well as correct the colors to my liking. I hope you enjoy the results, I'm pretty proud of this one
This costume and staff was made entirely by me. It was my chip to play with, in order to sway my little brother into going to an anime convention haha
His eyes during the convention were actually lit LED's (that you can see in my WIP folder). The LED light didn't show up very well so the fantastic Judy Escalante was nice enough to edit them in for us
Just arrived home from a day at the Wizard Con Chicago Comic Convention. It is an understatement to say that I had a blast! I ran into this fellow that had an amazing Rick Grimes cosplay! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to shoot a photo with him, especially because I was wearing my Daryl and Merle Dixon shirt
*I know that this photo is by no means "art", but I love the idea of cosplayers, photographers, illustrators, painters, jewelry artisans and just all kinds of artists coming together to celebrate the creative culture that comics, tv shows and movies have created. It's truly awesome to see so many people coming together, being creative and having fun with a common interest at heart.
