I spent way more time on this photo than I had originally anticipated. While shooting photos of my local zoo's snow leopards, I was SO excited to find that they were awake and active (in comparison to their usual, sleepy selves). So, I shot many photos of these beautiful felines while I was visiting them, only to be totally bummed out by the fact that a protective net was obscuring every inch of my view. Regardless, I kept shooting photos. In post-production, I used Adobe Photoshop CS5 to remove the netting and to sharpen the image, as well as correct the colors to my liking. I hope you enjoy the results, I'm pretty proud of this one
*This Indian Peafowl was in the middle of fighting with an African Guinea Fowl (don't worry, neither of them were hurt). The peacock was getting frustrated, so he threw his head back and started screaming. It scared the heck out of the Guinea Fowl (who ended up running away) and surprised me too! (dang, he was loud!) From this experience, I've come to the conclusion that the inside of a peacock's mouth kind of scares me.

*Adam grabbed my camera and wanted to shoot a portrait of me. Immediately he said, "Pretend you're using your mind powers to make a vampire's brain explode!" Spontaneously, this is what we came up with. Although silly, I actually like the portrait
