‘“Why did you bring me here?”’ Fiona asked as she remembered her favorite hiding place in the Candy Kingdom.
“…you loved it here…I never understood why…” His astral voice seemed to come in and out. Taking longer as he started talking.
Fiona felt herself blush, “I didn't know you knew about this place. It’s just a space in between the walls.”
“…which is why I never understood why you liked it here…when you could have gone to whichever room in the house…”
“It was the closeness to you. Your room is right beside this wall.” She felt her face get even hotter. “I could hear you perfectible in here. And at night when I would just lay here the only light that came in was through the tiny cracks on the walls and it made it almost feel like I was touching the stars and blocking them out.” She coughed, “I imagined us under the stars a

Would she really take the potion to erase her memories of Marshal? Could she really betray his memory? Did she want too?
“No, Gumball. I appreciate you thinking of me when you did it, but I don’t need it. I love him and I want to remember what he made me feel.”
Gumball seemed understanding, “That’s very sweet of you Fiona.” He moved closer, “Did I tell you how sorry I was about what happened to Marshal?”
She nodded, “You did.”
Gumball was reaching out with his arms to hug her. Fiona opened her arms to wrap them around his waist. She really needed to have someone hold her. He wrapped his arm around her neck while the other carried a Becker with the potion he had just showed her would erase her memories. He was shoving the potion into her mouth, “Gumball! Stop!” She started to fight, but he forced the Becker to her lips. She closed her mouth and tried to avoid it.
“Drink it Fiona!

“You look happy today.”
Fiona jumped of a branch, where she had been scouting the area. “Is it that obvious?”
Cake’s face broke into a grin. “Oh sugar, your eyes are shinning.”
Fiona touched her eyes, “What’s wrong with them? Did one of those light bugs get in there?”
Cake laughed, “I didn't mean it like that! I meant it like: I can see the emotions that your feeling. I can see your happiness and excitement.”
Fiona blushed, “Is it that noticeable?”
Cake’s hand grew and took a loose stand of hair back into Fiona’s hat. “Marshal seems to bring so much light to your eyes. I hadn't seen you like this…in a very long time.”
“Cake, but can it really happen? What I’m feeling, could it really happen so quickly?”
“Lord Monochromicorn and I fell in love at first sight.” She smiled at her memories, “Now we have kids that ca

"But Fiona...he's a vampire!" Cake whispered the last over the phone.
"I know he is, but think about it. You'll have the entire evening to be with your family."
"That would be nice." Cake sounded tempted.
"Plus I'll get to finally get to see Heat Signature."
"Fine, Fiona, but if anything happens to you I will haunt him down and kill him."
"If he tries anything I can take care of myself Cake." She replied.
"Okay just please be very careful." Then as an after thought, "Take the Demon sword with you."
"Already done. Bye Cake." Hanging up the phone Fiona headed toward Marshal who waited in the living room. "She said okay. Let's go."
"Cool," he took her in his arms again and floated out the door. She felt like something was crawling in her stomach. She touched her hand to her stomach but she didn't feel anything moving around in there. Marshal Lee pulled her tightly to his body when strong gust of wind tried to push them down. She liked the feel of his strong solid

Taking the note and removing the note and sheet she gasped.
“Wow, talk about freaky.” Marshal said behind her.
She still hadn't recovered from the shock.
“Do you think it still works?” Marshal asked coming up behind her to get a better look. “It’s sort of weird that he even made this.”
“He made it for me…” Fiona sobbed.
“What do you mean he made it for you?”
Fiona turned around to look at Marshal. “Yes, now don’t go all jealous vampire on me.” She said with an eye roll.
“I didn't say a thing.” He raised his hands in to show her he was going to be nice. “It’s just weird that he made you something like this.” He snorted.
With another eye roll she reached up and was about to touch it. Maybe Marshal was right and it didn't work. But just when she was about to fix his messy hair it opened its eyes. Catching and holding hers. He smiled.

Slowly waking up Fiona’s body felt as if she had just gone rough housing by the mountain. Yawning she opened her eyes. The place was dark, but she could swear it was daytime. Letting her sleepy eyes to adjust she saw that the other part of the blanket she had was up in the air.
She shivered, that was what had woken her, a cold draft of wind chilling her body.
“Oh yeah,” She smiled to herself as last night events came to her. Marshal was sleep floating next to her. She wondered how that happened, but that was a question for some other time. Slowly clinging onto the blanket to cover her body she let out her foot to try to scoot the nearest bit of clothing on the floor to her reach.
Her hands touched a familiar cloth, Marshal’s shirt. Quickly she put it on and now with more confidence that she wasn't completely naked she went out to look for her own clothing.
“Come back to bed, Fi.” A thick with sleep voice mumbled, “It&

“We’ll have to take care of that…Gumbutt later.” Marshall pulled Fiona into a tighter hug. “I am just glad it’s you. I thought you would never remember me again.” He said burying his face into her neck.
“I can’t believe I’m here with you Marshal.” She hiccuped. “I still see you in my mind dying over and over…because of me.” She fisted his shirt in her hands, holding on for dear life. He felt her knees trembling against his thighs since he was floating. “It has made me think about us…”
“Think what?” Marshal felt his body tense.
“I-I don’t w-want to see you die…it k-killed me inside w-watching them h-hurt you. I-I don’t want to go through that a-again.”
Slowly moving his hands to the back of Fiona’s knees she quickly brought her legs up to his waist. She immediately wrapped them around his waist and her arms a

He groaned a couple of times. Feeling that it was the perfect time to leave Fiona hurried out the room before he saw her. If he saw her there he might try and keep her there with him and she was already late to getting married.
Getting a better grip on the tail of her dress she noticed sparkling lights on the ground leading out the door. Bending at the waist she narrowed her eyes to get a better look. They were ice diamonds. The Ice Queen had been crying normal tears while standing over Marshal, why were these frozen?
Feeling something strange in her guts, she debated whether to leave or stay. ‘Gumball is waiting for you.’ Her mind told her. Getting a better hold of her dress she continued out.
She stopped in her tracks, ‘That voice!’ her mind cried. Turning she saw the guy, Marshal Lee.
“Fiona!” He flew to her and hugged her tightly. “Oh Fiona, you had me worried! Where have you been?”

She wished to say that she acquired some sort of special powers to help her fight the fight alongside her Marshal with the liquids she had found…but it wasn't meant for her. None of what she was doing was for her.
None of it…but she did everything with a heavy heart at that.
Hearing the ruckus of the battle behind her she took a deep breath. It took all her strength of will not to join. She was a heroine. THE heroine of Aaa, for globs sake! Yet she was tinkering with liquids instead of running her fist into someone.
It was almost like the time everyone in the Candy Kingdom turned into candid zombies and she was the only one that hadn't been bitten. She hid inside an emergency shower with Gumball’s lab rat, who if it weren't for the rat, the antidote would have never been done.
That had been the only time she could remember hiding and not fighting. This almost felt as hopeless as that time. But the love of her life and all the citizens of t

"I do" Fiona heard herself say.
Grabbing her under her arms, Marshal lifted her up in the air kissing her as he brought her down to her feet. She saw him search under the collar of his red plaid shirt.
“What are you…?” Fiona started.
He yanked at something around his neck, but she didn't see a thing. He showed her his empty palm.
“There is nothing there.”
Smiling he put his hand closer to Fiona’s face so that she could get a closer look. But as she leaned closer something seemed to appear. It was a chain with a delicate looking ring.
“It is something dear to my heart. I've kept it with me for over a thousand years, but…” Removing the ring from the chain he handed it to her. “I want both the loves of my life to be together; because I know you will take care of it.”
Looking down at the ring she read the inscription. “Amor verus numquam moritur.” She wasn't sure if she read it right.

She couldn't get her eyes open. Maybe it was to the fact that she had a massive headache and her brain wasn't working properly. Her head pounded with its own heartbeat which seemed to be located just behind her ears.
"C-cake," she croaked in a sand-papery sounding voice. "Cake," she tried again which did sound just a tad bit better. "I t-think...I m-might have a...boo boo." she slurred in between words.
"You want cake? Are you hungry for cake?"
She couldn't be sure, but she thought she heard a guy's voice. An unfamiliar male voice that sounded right above her.
Her eyes shot open which required a lot of concentration from her part which caused a pain behind her eyes which made her headache worse. "Who are you!" she demanded of the guy who seemed to be floating right on top of her.
The guy floated up only to float backwards with his feet up high and his dark blue black hair almost caressed the skin of my chest. He smiled and crossed his arms across his chest. "I am the

Prepared by Cake to expect Gumball at the tree house, Fiona infused her tone with pleasant politeness and fake perkiness. "Gumball, I wasn't expecting you here." She managed a brief smile for him.
"Oh Glob Fiona, are you well?" He came close to touching her, but in the last second decided not too. "Do you need me to do anything for you?"
"Thanks Gumball, but I'm fine." She waved a hand in dismissal. "Everything is fine. Just normal heroine biz' you know."
"I was really worried that something...or someone." He added under his breath. "Had done something awful to you."
"I'm fine Ball, really. All I need is rest and then I'll be back to being my old monster killing self."
"Okay." He paused to look at her better. "I can stay and watch over you if you'd like."

The guy stirred, but didn't wake. Stepping out of the bedroom Fiona started for the living room since she was going to exit the house from where she came in through, but she stepped on her dress tail. With an aggravated sigh, she picked up the tail to maneuver better.
“Where are you going?”
Fiona turned around and found the Ice Queen leaning against the door jamb to the only door to her freedom. She and her big blue puffy dress were covering the entire doorway.
“I’m getting married today if you haven’t noticed the wedding dress, Ice Queen.”
“It’s Simone, and I have…it doesn't suit you.”
Fiona cringed. She knew the dress was horrible. It was a blend of white, pink, light green, and some sort of mustard yellow. “It’s a Royal wedding dress.”
“It’s royally hideous.” The Ice Queen replied. She pushed away from the door and headed towards the room that had the floating

After having his fill of snooping, Marshal returned home with purpose. He decided that he liked Fiona and he wanted to get to know her.
Anyone that didn't think Gumball was the greatest thing in Aaa, was okay in his books.
'But it isn't just that.' He thought. 'She is amazing and feisty and beautiful. I will have to see her again soon.'
*TWO WEEKS LATER*
"Cake! I need you to go big and sit on this fool." Fiona threw a gumdrop bad guy toward Cake.
"On it," and Cake did just that. She grew and sat on the gumdrop, smothering him to the gingerbread ground.
"No, get of me cat!" the gumdrop guy yelled.
The banana guards arrived at the scene and took the evil Gumdrop away.
"Thank you Fiona the human." They called after her before they started to make siren noises and took of running.
Climbing onto Cakes back they rushed out of the Candy Kingdom before Prince Gumball showed up

“Come back here Frog-thief!” Fiona yelled as she saw him reach the top of the hill and she was still halfway and her leg muscles were already complaining about the steep climb.

His bass was the only thing keeping Marshal from his head blowing up into little pieces.
When Fiona ha d left Marshal felt like flying after her in the sun and keeping her in his bedroom for all eternity. ‘Don’t worry Marshal next time…next time you’ll be prepared.’
Strumming his bass he continued writing the lyrics for the next song that Fiona had inspired in him.
Reaching the treehouse Fiona found windows broken and the door open. A chill ran down her spine. “Cake?” She slowly walked toward the house. “Cake!” Fear finally reached her and she ran the little ways left.
Taking out her Demon sword from her backpack she searched the house. “Cake, answer me!” She looked in the living room only to find a flickering light on the ground and hurried over. “BMO!” She picked him up and set him on the ta

"Who are you?" She squinted her eyes at him as if to get a better look at him. she felt her eyes widened when she saw his bite marks on his neck. "You-you're a vampire." Her voice trembled a little. Cake had told her about vampires.
He hissed at her. His eyes going black and red and he stuck his tongue out at her which looked almost like a snakes. "Not just any vampire, Bunny." His voice was a hiss. Winking at her he introduced himself. "I am Marshall Lee, The Vampire King."
"Well mister Vampire King." she rolled her eyes trying to push back the fear. "I am Fiona the Human. I am the heroine of Aaa."

“You’re acting really weird today Fiona.”
“Cake, I have something to tell you.”
“What is it honey.”
Fiona puckered her lips in thought. “I don’t think you’re going to like it.”
“Well then in that case I want to know what it is you’re going to tell me with more urgency.” Cake stopped sewing the new outfit she was doing for Fiona to give her, her undivided attention.
Fiona sighed. Something she’d done more than a hundred times that day. “Well-now don’t get mad please-“ She lifted her hands as if to maintain Cake calm. “But Marshal asked me out on a date yesterday.”
“Is that why you were so weird yesterday?”
“Um yeah?” Fiona replied cautiously.
Cake seemed to think about it, “But Fiona, did you accept?”
Nodding Fiona waited for the scolding she was sure was coming.

He couldn't move Fiona. It was almost as if he was trying to move an Immovable Mountain. Not even his vampire strength helped any.
“Fiona!” It didn't help him any that every time he tried to pull her away she fought him.
He’d been there hearing her conversation with Gumball, but then before he could even think about pulling Fiona away the Lich got a hold on her.
Her giant cornflower blue eyes were frozen wide open with a look of terror in their depths.
Blood started gushing out from appearing wounds all over her body. He needed to hurry and take the Lich’s power and deflect it somehow, but he had already blocked their view of each other. It only worked if he would have done it in the first place. Not after.
Pushing off the ground to give him a little more power than if he just flew at Gumball; he landed a kick that connected to the side of Gumball’s face.
It worked! Whatever hold he had on Fiona broke, but she fell to the ground&

“How do I look?”
“Like the wife of another trying to pretend that she is another’s runaway bride, ‘cause she knows she is making the worst mistake of her life.” Marshal replied with an almost sarcastic tone. "That is how you look."
Ignoring most of that Fiona looked at herself in his bathroom mirror. “So I look like a bride that was taken and kidnapped on her wedding day?” She licked her thumb to smudge some dirt along her cheek.
Marshal nodded once.
Getting a hold of the tattered tail of her dress (thanks to Marshal’s participation) she headed out once again, to roll out in the dirt to make it look dirtier and as if she had been through an epic battle. Hopefully Gumball would believe that she had escaped her captures and managed to get to his castle.
Marshal had seemed to be enjoying himself when they were tearing up the dress to make it look more convincing, but now he looked so angry.

Quickly flying out into the night sky from the hospital window, Marshal felt tightness in his heart. He didn't want to leave Fiona by herself. He wanted to go back and hold her hand and stay beside her until she felt better, but he couldn't do that.
She would never really rest until Cake was by her side and well. He would have to be quick. He wanted to return to his beautiful wife and keep her from the thoughts that must be running through her head. All he could do was wish he could have kept Gumball’s death from hurting her, but he couldn't. He couldn't take the guilt from her shoulders even when it wasn't really her fault.
All he could now was keep her mind off of it, until she started to heal in due time.
Coming back from his thoughts he realized he was close to the Ice Kingdom. The cold air bit at his skin. Not like it did to the rest of the people, it was just a sort of pinching feel to his skin.

Fiona lay faced down in her bed. She felt like an emotional wreck.
"Fiona honey, what happened?" Cake sat next to her.
"Nothing Cake, I'm just a bit tired." Cake caressed her arm which was covered up with the red material of her old red onsie. "I just need to get some sleep is all."
"Did that vampire boy hurt you?" Cake asked.
"No Cake...he was really nice to me." She sighed, "More so than I thought he would be."
"Oh." Then Cake sat up straight, "Oh...why did you sigh for?" then she continued. "What was that sigh for."
"Cake, I'm tired. It's late and that movie really freaked me out."
"Yes baby, that's why I kept it from you all these years, but did you have fun?"
"Yes I had fun. Thank you Cake for letting me go." She turn toward Cake and scratched her behind the ear.

Pushing back his giant sunhat he peered around. “This should be the place.” Marshal put her down and took the scroll from his jeans back pocket. “I know this is the right place.”
Fiona rolled her eyes and took the map. By the looks of the map and her surrounding they were in the correct place. “What are all these tree stumps doing here? It looks like a forest graveyard.”
“It sort of is.” Looking again at the scroll he scratched the back of his head.
“What’s that?” Fiona ran off.
“This isn't a tree stump?” there was a wheel she twisted and opened. “There’s a way down.”

Fiona kneeled down on one knee in the ground to get a closer look at the footprints. Her thigh high sock staining at the knee.
“Where are they taking you Cake?” She asked out loud.
Looking ahead following the prints there seemed as if others joined them. It almost looked like a herd had trampled through, but they just seemed to appear out of nowhere.
She felt in her guts that she was getting closer. Or maybe it was the sudden cold? She chaffed her arms to warm herself. She stood and pushed on. There was no time for her to stop and put on her warm change of clothes.
She needed to rescue Cake.
Glad his vision was better at night then in the morning he found a couple traces of where Fiona might be. He hoped he had followed the correct foot prints. There had been a couple of different sets of footprints to follow and he’d just taken the chance and followed one.
Fiona couldn't have been that far ahead. It had only been an hour when Fiona had lef
