Kojima wants Rising 2Straight quote from SPOnG.com:Kojima wants Rising 22 years ago in Personal More Like This
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has heaped a huge amount of praise on Metal Gear Rising developer Platinum Games, revealing that he would like to make a sequel to the action spinoff and would only consider partnering with the Bayonetta studio for the job.
In a roundtable attended by SPOnG, the producer also opined that Platinum is just a technological upgrade away from being "a world class studio."
"As far as [Metal Gear] Rising 2 is concerned, I really do have that in my mind, and I want to make it," Kojima explained. "And if we do make it, it would definitely be with Platinum. I don’t think anyone else could do it.
"Of course, my ulterior motive is that if Rising 2 came out, it would be guaranteed to sell! Which means that I wouldn’t have to worry about that with [new project, Metal Gear Solid] Ground Zeroes. I can just do what

It doesn't really exactly feel like that long ago when I first started visiting dA and now it's already been a decade.
So kinda for myself (and also anyone possibly interested) here's a journal post recapping my last 10 years~ (Also sort of my journal in photography too, I guess.)
May 17 2002
I signed up on dA when someone in the drawing group I hung out with told me to check out his works here. I was only 14 then. I didn't use dA a lot at the time because it looked like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20030426063919/http://www.deviantart.com/
I was on a 15" 1024x768 display and the ad banner + dA header took up half my screen on every page load. Did not like. >_>
I dropped by dA every now and then, in Sept I suddenly found it a lot more user-friendly, the new version: http://web.archive.org/web/20030922013355/http://www.deviantart.com/
I added dA to my daily visit and I started mak
My Little Dashie PoemShe came to me like an angelMy Little Dashie Poem3 years ago in Personal More Like This
She was beautiful from every angle
Showed up when my life was grim
Poured in a light when mine was dim
She was very young, but really strong
Running around all night long
Only once did she ever speak
Made my heart jump to next week
She kissed my cheek to know she had me
Cutely said "I love you, Daddy"
The day she left, I tried not to cry
But wasn't able the moment she said bye
Mouthing the words with eyes now filled
"I love you, Daddy...I always will"
Now I gaze at her baby pictures
My heart feels it's covered in blisters
The day I found her I remember well
In the wind, it must have been hell
Sitting in that box all alone
The box Read "Give To A Good Home"

I HAVE RETURNED TO COSPLAY!Latest UPCOMING COSPLAY! Utena Tenjou Progress Wig shotI HAVE RETURNED TO COSPLAY!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
As most of you know, I quit cosplaying a year ago and made a video about it about 6 months ago. Due to the high demand of many wonderful fellow cosplayers and convention goers writing to me to come back to the community, I have decided that since I left due to my career, that I now have the time to start up some fun new cosplays. I may not be doing a lot or attending as many conventions as I did in the past, but I will do what I can. I was very touched and honored to know so many people would miss me with them at conventions and this creative community. I missed all you guys very much as I focused on my career as a writer and artist. So, I am happy to say, I shall be returning to cosplay and have some fun new things in store for the future. I can't promise that it will be Hellsing related but I do have a lot of things to offer.
I will say that to start that my novel series PHOENIX was picked up in NYC by a couple big NYC publishin
To Put DmC in PerspectiveA slight rant on looking at Capcom’s reboot in a new, more positive way.To Put DmC in Perspective2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Two years. It has been two years since the first time DmC was announced and still progress has been slow. I’m not talking about the developers; in fact they have been working their arses off to release trailers, interviews and demos for the public. No, I’m talking about the supposed ‘fans’ of the series that have nothing better to do than hate on what I believe to be a perfectly good game. Sure, there has been a lot of change to what was once known as a cheesy, style-filled, eastern designed franchise, to now being a more contemporary and modern take by a western company, but a change might have been needed.
if you managed to make it this far through this entry without pressing the back button, you’ll read about some of the more updated issues ‘fans’ seem to be having, as well as different perspectives on said problems. Sometimes taking a

Where do I even start? I'm glad to be alive.
It takes a lot of courage to put certain thoughts and feelings into words, too easy to be hurt for who we are, our heart's fragility can only withstand so much when it comes to our weaknesses, I think.
And so, I hadn't known how to write this, and I still don't exactly, not really. But last year -- getting over depression -- was surely the grandest achievement of me being 24 (and of course my doctor, who didn't even have to put me on antidepressants, thank you).
In many ways, I'd been afraid to write about it because I didn't want to jinx my recovery, it wasn't often I had something good like that. (Because you know, more than once, I'd thought that I was fine, just to find myself living in the very opposite of that the next months.)
It was a lo

Scatterbrained Journal Post + RecommendationsI just got back from a trip and I’ve had a lot of things on my mind that I wanted to talk about but couldn’t due to an absence of keyboards (sorry iPhone, your keyboard and hilarious auto-correcting makes long-winded journals too difficult to do on the road). So this journal might be a little... scatterbrained? I’m not sure, but I will try to separate things into groups if I can, otherwise here we go!Scatterbrained Journal Post + Recommendations7 months ago in Personal More Like This
I live in America and a lot of times I come under fire for my political beliefs not because they’re really controversial, but because they conflict with another countries political history. So I wanted to just reiterate that I am an American. I talk about American problems. You can frame pretty much every sentence I write with the addition of “...in America.” While I try to keep a level head about world politics I am not, and should not, be used as a credible source of information regarding politics or even history of o
Post-Processing ProcessesSo I thought I'd write a little about what I do to my photos once I'm back home. But before I explain that, it needs pointing out that I shoot in RAW because I want to make all the processing decisions instead of my camera. If you're unfamiliar with the format, RAW files are basically unembellished sensor data. When you shoot in JPEG your camera will make all sorts of decisions about saturation and light and they may or many not look satisfactory to you. So I, like many photographers with RAW-enabled cameras, take the camera's opinions out of the equation.Post-Processing Processes2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Only basic saturation boost to show off the sunlight.
In order to help me remember what a scene was like I fire off a couple of shots with my iPhone and I use these as a non-definitive reference for colour and lighting levels - it's just to jog my memory if you like. You could accomplish the same thing by just taking some JPEGs with your DSLR, but I like to leave those settings alone once I'm out and about.

I spent pretty much all of Saturday doing little convention sketches. It was brilliant. I love nattering with folk while I draw silly little things for them.
Sunday was slower on the commission front, so I spent the downtime doing a few pics that are now up on ebay, should anyone want ‘em (Edit: sorry, all sold, now).
A highlight was the presence of Arthur Adams, whose work I’m a HUUUUGE fan of. Alas, I didn’t really get the chance to talk to him. The only time I moved away from my table was at the tail end of Sunday, and by the time I reached his stand he was packing his gear away. Didn’t want to pester him while he was doing that, so I quickly bought a couple of prints and let him get on with it.
Frank Cho was there, too. I toyed with the idea of getting him to write “Cease and desist!!” in the Sequential Art book where the parody figure Funk Cho appears, but he

Children's Literature, Morality + Changing IdealsIntroductionChildren's Literature, Morality + Changing Ideals2 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
With the invention of the printing press in the fifteenth century, and its gradual integration into society, people at last had access to literature. It was William Caxton who first saw the opportunity to make money by printing and selling those stories and fables hitherto told by word of mouth.
At this time, literature did not have age-specific target audiences. Inevitably, some stories appealed to children more than others. Robin Hood was especially popular, while Aesop’s fables offered entertainment and life lessons to adults and children alike.
It is, of course, impossible to say exactly when and how literature was identified as a useful tool in teaching morality to children. It is speculated that there was no concept of ‘childhood’ before the eighteenth century, although historians debate this, as historians are apt to do.
