After a confrontation with Ravens brothers that turned out to be a lot of effort for very little gain, Dick, Roy, Donna, Raven, Garfield, Wally and Kory dragged themselves back to Titans Tower. At least no one had really gotten hurt.
Day had long ago turned to night, and Vic had said that debriefing could wait until morning. Donna, Raven and Wally had promptly gone off to bed. Dick followed Gar and Roy to the kitchen to find something to eat.
So desire, huh? Roy taunted, cracking a soda.
Forget it, Roy, Dick replied, rummaging around in the fridge. Youre not getting any details.
Nothing? Cmon not even how gorgeous she still looks?
Dick pulled a container of cold chicken from the back of the fridge and slammed the door shut. Lets just say nothing happened that hasnt happened before.
Chapter SixBeastboy stood there in front of the sink. Warm soapy suds weaved through his fingers as he viciously scrubbed the charred frying pan. Cyborg had forced him to clean the mess he left earlier. Well he didn't exactly force Beastboy, though. He had more or less coaxed the changeling into the chores, threatening Beastboy with telling Raven that he liked her. Beastboy stood there, still trying to piece things together, why did I agree to this? I could have let Cyborg just tell Raven; she wouldn't have believed him, right? But she might think about…the other day. God damn this pan!Chapter Six10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Beastboy sprayed more steaming water onto the pan. His hands were pruned and numb from the burning water. He pulled the plug on the drain; the water swiveled into the draining pipes gurgling along the way. Beastboy pulled the now clean pan out of the sink and pulled a large roll of paper towel out, drying the dish. He put it away and stepped back, sighing in relief, "well after wasting 2 hours cleaning, it'
Chapter TenRain pounded against the side of the T Tower as the next morning pressed on with dismal mood circulating through the tower. Well at least through Raven, Cyborg, and Beastboy. Starfire was in her usual demeanor although seemed a bit more cheerful than usual, which seemed to only make her friends seem even gloomier. Robin was nowhere in sight, at least for the moment, but it seemed fairly typical for him to be out of sight.Chapter Ten9 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
By noon Cyborg finally had enough energy to force Beastboy to fulfill his end of the bet he lost from the day before. Cleaning, washing, and waxing the T-Car; and if that wasn't enough. Beastboy was also forced to take care of Cyborg's dish duty for the day.
Raven as usual was stowed away in the cold dark depths of her dismal room reading once again. Contemplating her existence once again. The drapes covering her window from the already dark gloomy afternoon as if to say she was darker than t
Dante's Ride: Chapter 1It had been only several hours since the battle ended. It seemed more like an eternity. Each waking moment ticked as they sat in the silent room, the only sound audible was the incessant drone of the current in the lights above. A buzz, that seemed to pierce through the mind amplifying the pain of emptiness they each felt.Dante's Ride: Chapter 19 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Even the cheerful and optimistic copper-skinned alien was buried in a wave of grief and uncertainty as she sat unusually silent. A wide eyed and terrified expression seemed carved into the face of a young green skinned boy, as he sat near his robotic friend occasionally fidgeting with his hand on the arms of his chair. The large cyborg rested with his arms pressing against his legs, staring into the gray marble-toned, plastic tile floor.
Boy wonder, the leader of the team wiped a thin line of sweat from his forehead as he stood glaring at a large screen. His thin black mask squinting every few moments
He FellHe fell; desolate, isolated, alone and cold, against the bare, rough back of the withering tree. He curled himself into a diminutive ball, holding his legs close to his chest. It wasn't enough. The rain continued to barrel down harshly against his bare frozen head, and arms. Desperately he forced the emerging tears of anger back. There was nothing more to express at this point. Sorrow, misery, pain, regret; each were clearly shown in his atmosphere. He Fell9 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
A stinging wind gusted against his back, howling through the barren twigs to the sleeping tree. Colorful, but broken leaves scattered across the field before him like an endless torrent of despondency. Puffs of light smoke billowed out as he breathed brashly.
He didn't know what to think at this point. He didn't even try. He wanted to die right there. Just to be struck down by some almighty force, and end the pain inside him.
It never came.
Instead a wavering blue figure approached from the horizon, slowly inching its way from behind him. F
Chapter TwoBeastboy awoke from his sleep; he was on the bottom bunk of his bed and didn't realize it until he banged his head on the ceiling of the other bed above him. "Ow!" Beastboy rubbed his head vigorously, trying to scratch the pain away. He stretched for a bit, rubbing his eyes to adjust to the light. He could finally see what the time was. "11:00A.M." the green clock read. "Hmmm," He groaned, "Brunch time."Chapter Two10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Beastboy wheeled out of his room and started downstairs for breakfast. He slid right into the kitchen and saw Cy cooking his favorite meal, waffles. "Hey those are non dairy right, Cy?"
"Uh... No why would I make tofu for you?" Cyborg replied gallingly.
"Bummer. Hey wait! It's not all tofu." Beastboy steamed, walking over to the cupboard removing some kind of baking mix. "Fine ill make my own waffles. Dairy free."
((Uh… clear the kitchen BB's gonna try to cook with Cy's waffle iron!))
"Uh... BB you sure you know what you're doing?" Cyborg questioned the green changeling.

Dante's Ride Chapter 10Beastboy's room lay in ruins as the battle ensued. Well it had already been in ruins, however it was far more severe now. Fragments of plastic, cloth, and glass lay scattered about the room. Small dents and blood spots sponged the walls. Beastboy's computer began to erupt in a small fury of sparks, as the monitor lay cracked against the ground within the crater of broken desk wood. Ironically the only thing untouched was his bed and sheets.Dante's Ride Chapter 108 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Beastboy himself was cradled into the corner of the room on the far side of his door as he arched his back against the wall. A few blood riddled back wounds smeared against the cold steal-based green wall. Several huffs of breath resonated from his breath. His eyes shut for a moment as he squeezed them tightly, his mind tracing the image of his parents, which quickly dissolved into the sole image of Terra. His eyes snapped open as he let out one last b
Dante's Ride: Chapter 2"What are you doing here this late?" Cyborg's voice rang through the silence of the night as his barbaric silhouette stood in the path of the doorway. The dim light from the hall streaked into the room gently giving form and shape to the smaller masked child, Robin.Dante's Ride: Chapter 29 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"I should be asking you the same question." Came his typical reply as he turned to face towards the body lying on the bed. He paused before glancing back over his cape at his approaching friend, "Couldn't sleep."
Cyborg's large metallic hand rose gently clasping Robin's shoulder, "I know you're worried, we all are, but that won't bring her back." His voice whispered in a reassuring manner. He lifted his hand off of Robin's shoulder as Robin turned to face Raven once again, his voice also lifting, "Besides, Raven's a tough girl, she'll be fine." As he finished he lifted his hand out giving a thumbs up, Robin turned to Cyborg smirking slightly, returning the thumb.
Before anything else could be said a set of foot steps were h
Dante's Ride: Chapter 5Raven had since escaped the confinement of her chilling room. Her hood, as typical, was cascaded over her head. The flashing red lights faded from her view as she entered the main room. The lights were still dim. The sky was opaque only the faint outline of objects was observable. Robin was already there, the only other one there. "What's going on?" She called out, her voice although monotonous as usual held a tinge of a commanding tone.Dante's Ride: Chapter 59 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Robin looked up from the computer screen, turning around to face Raven, his eyes narrowing, "not sure, something's tripped the security from inside the tower, but I can't pinpoint what or where exactly."
The door to the main room slid open from behind Raven as both Starfire and Cyborg entered the room. "Robin." Starfire's voice broke, quickly fading though as Beastboy slowly sauntered in behind the two.
"Dude! What's going on? How am
Dante's Ride: Chapter 4Earlier the Night before:Dante's Ride: Chapter 49 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The air was silent as the moon hovered above the midnight sky. Glossy winds willowed against the tower as small waves crashed against the rocky island shore. A dark globule like figure squirmed along the corners of the tower, faint glints of light from various objects formed the outline of the figureless object.
Raven hadn't been sleeping well, she struggled to focus her mind and rid herself of the strange images that were continuing to bring themselves into her head. Although she remained motionless in her sleep her eyes continued to pulse as she squinted, sweat forming on her face until she finally stirred into conscious reality.
Her eyes snapped open as her breathing suddenly increased. A wave of cold swept over her body as the sweat began to dissipate. She shivered. Her breath was actually visible. Her eyes scanned over the room. Everything was silent aside from
Chapter Three"Man, you should have seen the look on your face Robin. When Mumbo threw that alligator at you." Cyborg bellowed as they entered the tower, obviously back from the recent distress call.Chapter Three10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Yeah, Robin your face was priceless." Beastboy inserted, as he made a square like figure around his face mimicking a picture frame.
Robin lightheartedly returned the comments with a soft laugh, "Heh, yeah I guess I was a bit surprised by that."
Starfire and Raven both entered the tower behind the three boys, having their own conversation.
"Raven, since we are victorious in the battle against The Mumbo, do you wish to go do the 'Hanging out' with me at the mall of shopping? We could have our hair done, or I heard of something you people refer to as a 'the making over', oh but it will be so fun!" Starfire's hopeful voice rang with optimism.
"Whatever" Raven dully replied, knowing she would regret it later.
"OH! Glorious! We must go, we will have so much fun!" Starfire grabbed Raven as she swung back outs
Chapter FourRobin sweat profusely as he viciously attacked the punching bag with a fury of punches and kicks. His mind wasn't on the bag, though, it was on other things, other people, Starfire. It was baffling him, how he, the great detective, the leader of the Titans, the head of the pack, was so easily weakened by this one person. Why couldn't he bring himself forward? Why, every time he looked at her, he was pulled back down, chained to the floor as she drifted away?Chapter Four10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
He stopped the onslaught on the, now frayed, punching bag. His breathing was short and quickened, his hands and feet numb; his body limp, as he bent over, retaining his energy. He regained his composure, letting the cold sweat drip off his face.
Starfire had been watching him. She stood at the door, gazing in awe. Robin hadn't noticed, as he paced over to the wall, drying his face on a near rag. He heard the click of her heel on the ground. His hairs jumped, his senses focused now. He looked over; there she was; his greatest advers
Dante's Ride: Chapter 6Raven slowly sauntered down the dimly lit hallway. Separating from her comrades as she neared towards the stairway. As much as Beastboy would have complained Raven didn't mind being forced to take the stairs to the storage room. Robin was particularly keen about making sure they avoided the elevator in any emergency.Dante's Ride: Chapter 69 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
She reached the doorway to the steps. Her hood canted slightly off center as it hung behind her neck. Darkness flooded her vision as she quietly opened the door. She slowly descended the stairway, her hand keeping to the rail as she searched for a switch of some form, the only light in the barren dungeon came from the faint red warning lights in the ceiling, hardly worth calling even a glow. Her eyes managed to adjust though to the murky room as she reached the bottom floor.
She had been silent the entire time, her eyes scanning the room as best she could, looking for anything out of place. &

The door opened up without Beast Boy realizing it, causing him to bang several times on his friend's metal chest. When he realized it, the green changeling just rushed inside the door, leaving Cy to wonder what was such a problem. He watched as Beast Boy paced back and forth, hands flying around his body in agitation. 'I haven't seen BB like this since he tried to work up the courage to ask out Raven,' the mechanical hero thought to himself. "Yeah, yeah, okay. You're in. Now what?" he asked aloud, sitting down on his metal table/bed.
"Raven wants to adopt!" Beast Boy finally struggled himself to say, a look of insanity crossing his green face as his hands pulled on his hair.

Dante's Ride Chapter 8It hadn't been more than 24 hours since the incident. And yet, to the Titan's it felt like an eternity. Time seemed to be snagging as the four friends continuously glared between their friend, Raven, and the clock face. The City itself felt barren and dull in their eyes, nothing seemed to want to diverge their attention away from the pain. Not even a small flicker of radiance from their punching bag, Doctor Light.Dante's Ride Chapter 88 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Robin had been continuously moving between Raven and the computers, updating her IV from time to time, checking her vital stats, and giving himself a headache. The others attempted to watch Robin silently; Beastboy was having the worst time dealing with the pain of waiting. His moistened green hands rested flat against his face as he rubbed it furiously, his fingers eventually working their way up through his hair as he began to pull on it, hoping the physical pain might pull his mind away from the emotional pain, but to
Dante's Ride Chapter 9"Raven…is it…is it really you?" Beastboy stammered as he continued to gawp at the seemingly perfect image of her.Dante's Ride Chapter 98 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Yes…" Her voice responded almost perfectly, the tone, the timber her voice was an exact replica of Raven's emotionless face. "It's me."
Beastboy could feel his heart begin to flutter, as his eyes seemed to widen to a point beyond human limit. "I don't beli…How did…When…But…I'm…." Beastboy's ecstatic and uncontrolled train of thought suddenly mellowed out as he pulled himself back into reality. Something wasn't right. Beastboy may appear 'dumb' to most others, and agreeably he isn't the must intelligent person on the planet, but he did have some intellect. Beastboy knew the smell of almost every individual he'd met, he knew how to tell them apart, and as much as his room was filled with his own personal stench, he should have been able to catch wind of Raven's by now, however he smelt something completely dif

Cyborg was too busy whistling to himself in the shower to hear Beastboy as he tip toed to the toilet. Gleefully grinning Beastboy placed his finger on the handle and gently pulled down. A rush of fluids poured out into the toilet as all the cold water was drained from the shower. Raven was in the living room once again reading her ancient text. She had by now recovered from the horrible night at the Halloween costume party. Starfire was humming gleefully to herself as she prepared her Tameranian food. Silkie was slowly making his way across the counter of which Starfire was cooking. It had been deduced earlier by the two females that Robin was probably in the gym training once again.
A green blur whizzed past Raven as a faint rapture of giggles followed. Raven glanced
Dante's Ride: Chapter 3The sweltering sun purged through the tower, gleaming light into each room, burning into the eyes of the titans. Even Starfire in her usually cheerful demeanor seemed to radiate a tone of distressed behavior as she stumbled to find her mustard, spilling Beastboy's leftover tofu tacos on herself. Beastboy was trying his best to bring the teams hopes up, but even his efforts failed all too quickly as Robin and Cyborg continued to shoot down his requests to play any games.Dante's Ride: Chapter 39 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

"Beastboy, can't you take the time to stop, Raven's still..." Robin's voice cut off, leaving the sentence unfinished as Beastboy's ears drooped. Although it was never admitted Beastboy's gamming and joking attitude was just escapism from reality. Robin realized this as he cut off, standing up to leave the room. Starfire close behind as
Chapter SevenSurprisingly the Titans managed to arrive at the party with few disturbances. That is, If you could ignore the incessant raping of Beastboy's fingers against the glass window of the T-Car, as he pondered over god knows what. Or the occasional passing teenagers gawking and harassing Raven for her Wonder Woman attire. Or the insanely loud music that radiated from Cyborg's stereo. Okay so it was more of an unpleasant trip to Gotham City for the party.Chapter Seven10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Are we there yet?" Raven coarsely moaned from the center rear seat of the car as she lifted her moistened arms from there crossed over position. "Cause as soon as this party is over I'm going to pound the daylights out of Beastboy."
"NO! Now quit asking me that!" Cyborg yelled over his blasting music, while trying to drive through highway traffic.
"Hey! I didn't force you into this deal. That was your choice remember?" Beastboy retorted at Raven as he unglued his face from the car window.
"Cyborg, can you turn the music up louder

Robin was in deep thought, his body absentmindedly moved rhythmically along the strung out lines of the kick-drum base beats, and the mentally entrancing waves of synthesized chords from the 303-baseline machines. His only outer conscious function was his eyes. They continued to remain glued to Starfire. It was obvious that he had managed to drone out his hate of the music for the time being. The music dropped, down to a low subtle vibrating line.
Chapter FiveRobin was still wiping some of the cold sweat from his face as he and Starfire were conversing, meandering down the hallways. It was casual, they usually chatted often together; Robin was comfortable at this stage. No strange emotional rushes, or bouts of confusion. They entered the main living room. The lights were all that lit the room. It was dark out, a pitch-black background of a brightly light city. The clouds coated the night sky letting no light escape the earth.Chapter Five10 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Beastboy and Cyborg were in the room: Beastboy was still mad at Cyborg for his comment in the hallway earlier. Both Robin and Starfire were confused by the behavior of the duo. "Hey guys! What up?" Robin asked, as Star nodded in agreement.
Beastboy turned around, his face slightly red, disgruntled and angry. "Cy here thinks I like Raven!" Why did I even say that to Robin?
"You know its true." Cyborg chimed, in a provoking manner.
"IS NOT!" Beastboy spat at him as he turned to face the Metal man again.

I stood behind my mother's knee, holding her hand, underneath a wooden shack, waiting. The wind was fiercely playful, smitten with the winter weather. As it raged on, I buried myself tighter, pressing further into my mother. She crouched down to my eye-level, pushing my messy blonde locks away from my face, and kissed my forehead tenderly. I smiled in return as she picked me up, rocking, humming my favorite tune in my ear.
After waiting for an eternity, or so it seemed, I shook my head sleepily, rubbing my eyes, as a silhouette appeared from the misty land, emerging from the forest. I struggled eagerly to be put down, squealing with delight. My mother set me down, and I flew to my father. For a young child, I had force. I knocked into my burly father, a man of great length, and meaty bones. He twirled me around with a boisterous chuckle, my hands cupping his face, and playing with his unruly dark hair.
