Daily Sketch 03.10.2012

I've actually enjoyed drawing comic book characters in very non comic book poses. This one was fun, Wondergirl and Starfire in a very casual moment.

Meet Olyand'r (aka - Psyfire), my OC Teen Titan. He is also one of the two characters that I play in DCUO. He is not reverse gender Starfire as many people think. Yes, he is Tamaranean like Starfire. Yes, he is a Teen Titan like Starfire. Yes, he even wears purple like Starfire. But the similarities pretty much end there.

Olyand'r is Starfire's cousin, so he is a member of the Tamaran Royal Family, but his father is a scientist, not monarch. He spent much of his childhood exploring space with his father, who - after refusing his royal obligation - is considered the "black sheep" of the family. (Of course with a cousin like Komand'r, that term is pretty loose...) After a brush with the Dominators, Oly gained the telekinetic and pyrokinetic powers that he now uses to defend Earth as a member of the Teen Titans.

Psyfire was drawn by the amazing GarnetQuyenDinah.

You would think that Starfire would be a pretty popular sketch request, but I think that I have only drawn her a couple of times ever, weird!
