Do you ever get the feeling that something is watching you? That a brief flash you notice in the corner of your eye is actually something more than a figment of your imagination? I've always had this inner fear that something else lurked in the mirror whenever I turned away, something more than my mere reflection; Something truly insidious...

Wow, this was such a fun picture to work on. Took many long hours, but I think it was worth it! I'm really pleased with how it turned out... I was trying to go for the effect that while everything in the outside world appears normal and relatively cheerful, inside the mirror - this darker realm - there is something much more disturbing. (aka a japanese style ghost... those freak me out the most because they get all twisty and jittery and pffffft.) I hope this doesn't happen to me next time I'm getting ready for a night out. XD Well I hope you enjoy the picture and are at least a little bit creeped out ;)

EDIT: ahhh, thanks for all the favorites and comments! I didn't expect to get so many >w<

LAST MINUTE ENTRY NO JUTSU :dummy:

What? What's this? CEL SHADING? 'Tis a Cherry-Chipmunk first, 'tis it not? :)

I was sooo worried I wasn't going to make the deadline. But here it is, my first DeviantArt contest entry!!

As much as I love hoodies, I love squiggly straws too. So I thought what better way to enter a Dr.-Pepper-drinking contest with an EPIC squiggly straw? :meow:

Hopefully the "Love" is obvious enough to notice....

Thank you to DeviantArt for providing assets and templates.
And a big thanks to my little brother for keeping my crazy little sisters out of my hair so I could finish this. :clap:

Now I wanna drink some Dr. Pepper...but we don't have any. TT^TT

EDIT: Didn't win. But, i really wasn't expecting much, I have such terrible skills. I got a cool dA Muro brush, though, and will probably use it in the near future.

So i decided to give this contest a shot ;u; hopefully everything meshes well since it is so colorful;;

If you wanna here the meaning read below ;u;
    If you start from the bottom left corner its when i lived a very sheltered life all i did was doodle stick figures and play video games because i was never aloud to have friends over much or go to a friends house because my parents were very protective of me and as you head up i run into new things such as manga and anime~ then after getting a desktop and an art program the digital realm began with a mouse for me. Soon I got a laptop and a tablet and then falling into a difficult time were i had major art block and was hardly ever drawing and dealing with family and friends, having to go though a bunch (the cave) fighting a lot on the way (the monster), a broken laptop, loosing friends and trying to graduate high school i finally got my mojo back! And over the past year creating characters that i absolutely adore and that have helped me in my own way to vent out and music being one of the biggest inspirations for me.
Would you like to continue? It's a never ending story when it comes to being an artist cause their is always gonna be something new on the way~ Everyone had their own story

Entry for the 2008 Okami competition

The Yatagarasu (Three legged jungle crow) is the symbol of the sun goddess Amaterasu. This is my original design for it.

Kanji on left states 'Yatagarasu'

Yatagarasu is not in the Okami video game and is a folk legend/ belief and is therefore not a trademarked character

Traditional inkstone ink and japanese brushes, combined with background and logo provided in recource pack, coloured with Photoshop

Helloooo everyone! This is my entry for the final fantasy xiii: lightning returns contest!! Yeah, this is my first contest, i was SO nervous! D:
Anyway i draw and painting that in traditional with copic ciao, watercolour and coloured pencils, some parts of the draw are done in photoshop!^^
the costume design was inspired by some "Kabuki" and "No" actors, i really love the way how the costumes and the face painting of every character it's so distinguishing for every role in the performance! So i would like to combine this with a modern outfit.
  wish me luck ! >A< hope you like it guys!^^

As a kid I always hated basements. Something about the huge empty void of pitch black, where all your hairs stand on end and if anything touches you, that's the end of it. This piece is inspired by that terrible time when you have to reach and grasp for a pull-chain for the light. As much as I hated the dark in basements, the only thing I dreaded more was what I might see standing there with me when the lights finally came on.

It has to be said that I did this piece entirely while listening to Joseph Bishara's excellent soundtrack to Insidious. Gave me the willies!

My thoughts are weary travelers
Waiting for the safe haven
Of the blank pages
Where ink rejuvenates them to life
As memoirs for other travelers

The inner mechanisms of my mind are an enigma...

The inner mechanism of your mind, is always in motion. Like cog wheels and light bulbs and everything else conceivable, there is a transition where the ideas are made manifest onto paper. Also a crossing over of one world to another. It's tempting to believe, that there are alternate universes out there, or universes within what we create. The inner workings as the poem says, is indeed an enigma. And it's from the very depths that we artist bring our concepts to the surface, like a fish that was pulled out from deep waters.
