No One Can Love a Killer- Chapter 1No One Can Love a Killer- Chapter 12 months ago in General Fiction More Like This
I was the only one on the road. There had been no others for hours now. All there was was the sound of the wind and the long stretch of macadam reaching out before me. The desert sand was a bright red-orange hue, and huge monolithic rock formations in fanciful shapes dotted the landscape. I didn't pay attention to them though. My mind was busy. I didn't even care where I was going....I just wanted to banish the memories of my old life. I wanted the dreams of my beloved Arnie to stop haunting me. I relived his death over and over. I had killed him. It was because of Leigh that he died. I will never forget the sensation of his hand running across my front bumper during his dying moments. All the same though, I wished for something else to occupy my mind. Hence, why I left on this road-trip. I had no idea where I was going, no idea where I would find myself. I just knew I had to leave behind my old life. Leave

The night air blew cool and briskly over the Osaka Bay. The city itself illuminated the sky like a star, keeping many stars in the sky out of sight, while the city shone bright; the moon hovered over the city like a great lantern of old. In the center of the bay stood Kansai airport, constructed on a great artificial island. Its lights created a rainbow of colors, from the runway and taxiway lights to the grand terminal gates.
Sitting on an empty stretch of tarmac sat a white Gulfstream G650, silent and in waiting. Water droplets condensed on the fuselage and wings while the jet awaited a most important passenger. Opening his green eyes, the jet looked across the black unlit area of tarmac around him. But a light appeared in the distance and began to close in. The jet’s automated scanners detected the incoming vehicle and on his HUD confirmed that this was his passenger.
“Right on time.” The jet said to himself.

"Christine the Killer Car?" Sheriff asked with a raised eyelid.
I smiled, leaned over on my shocks towards him, and replied "Yes. You heard me right." Ramone turned to Sheriff, a look of confusion filling his gaze. He looked so damned confused, I burst out laughing right then and there. It was just too funny.
"You're a killer car? I mean, like how, baby?" he asked.
"I kill anyone who sits their sorry ass in my path, basically. I've come out from my sprees so bloody, you kiddies would freak!" I answered, with another sinister laugh. Ramone turned and gave Sheriff another weird look.
Sheriff turned his full attention to me, and said "I think we ought to try and run your license plate and see what we can find out about you, Christine." I looked at him and spat "Why? I thought you said it was okay."

When night began to fall in the small town, I grudgingly decided to accept the offer from the little blue Porsche and stay at the Cozy Cone Motel. It was better than staying with the hill-billy tow truck, who had offered me room and board in his half ass looking shack. I cast one final look to the rising moon, then drove up into the foyer of the hotel.
"Oh, hi there! Can I help you, Christine?" Sally asked.
"Do you think I'd be sitting here idling my engine otherwise, kid?" I asked.
She shrugged and said "Hey, I promised you I'd fix you a nice rate. How long did you think you'd end up staying here?"
"The hell if I'd know. I already told you earlier I can't predict the future. I might be staying only a few days."
She looked through some papers, and then said "Well, I'll fix you up a two week rate. If you stay for

I took a walk once, and
Depression walked alongside me.
"I want to be alone," I told him.
"I know," he replied,
"Why do you think I'm here?"
"I have a plan,"
Depression said to me.
"Not today," I said.
He frowned and asked,
"How did you know my plan?"
I gave the weekend over to Depression
but he took three days
instead of two.
"Think of it as an investment," he said.
"And maybe I'll let you have a Friday night

He's doing this on purpose,
I know he is-

"They can't learn new tricks?"
I asked, playing my part.
"No," he replied,
I walked away,
my Trials and Tribulations

I answered honestly:
"What were they,

Ramone gave me a funny look, and repeated "Body by Plymouth, Soul by Satan? Really, baby?"
I smiled and replied "That is quite right. Some folks think that is an exaggeration, but once you get to know me, you'll realize it isn't."
"What's going on here?" a voice asked. I slightly turned. It was that Sheriff fella.
"Yeah?" I asked.
He came over to me, and said "What in tarnation are you talking about? I heard the Plymouth part, then the Satan part. What are you trying to do? Scare everyone?"
I smirked, and answered "There really isn't much trying to it when you know who I really am. I don't have to try. I just 'am'."
"What's she talking about, man?" Ramone asked.
"Just what I want to know." Sheriff replied. "Christine, I would like to bring you before the court."

There's something I want you to know,
Because, hey dad..
I'm not stupid.
I know you're not going to be here
Something I wanted to say..
I hate you.
I hate how you've been there for me.
I hate how you made me who I am today.
I hate how you've always inspired me,
And I hate how you've been the best father anyone could ask for.
I hate how I know you enough to know exactly what you're going to say.
I hate how you know me the same way.
I hate how you love your family more than anything.
I hate how you've been strong just so we don't feel weak,
And I hate how you never gave up on us.
On your family.
On your daughters.
I hate knowing that it's going to be
I'm going to miss you, Dad.
... Daddy, I'm going to miss you.
And I hate you for that.

He nodded his light blonde head.
"You must not fail me if you choose to accept this assignment for there will be dire consequences. Do you understand?" The man standing in front of him said sternly.
Bastra nodded again. "As a Guardian I solemnly swear I will make sure not to fail you, Lord. What is it you must require me to do?" he said.
The Lord Bastra spoke of was God, the Holy Father himself. Bastra was one of his loyal Guardian Angels, bent on doing any task The Lord asked of him. The Lord motioned for Bastra to follow him and the two walked to what looked like an old full body Victorian mirror with ruby gems weaved intricately into the woodwork. The Lord gently placed his hand on the mirror's glass, it's surface rippling at his touch. It reminded Bastra of waves in an ocean.
The rippling in the mirror grew until, finally, an image formed. A middle aged woman with long dark brown hair and an exhausted expression was sitting next to a toddler with matching dark brown hair. The child

Sam looked up as he heard the apartment door open, and saw Meilin quietly enter the room. “You’ve been gone a while, is everything okay?” he enquired of the beautiful Chinese girl who shared the apartment with him. “It’s only been a couple of days Sam. I’m a big girl and I can take care of myself, you know that. Anyway I have been doing some business that might get us out of this little place and into something a bit bigger, where we can get you some more equipment.”
“I know, I shouldn’t worry about you. Hell you can take care of the both of us, but I still don’t like it when I don’t know where you are.” Sam replied.
Sam and Meilin had been on Ganymede for nearly a year now. Trained by the Chinese PLA, Meilin had been a

But to those who visited,
That's not what they saw.
A world of magic,
They made us believe,
Anything can happen,
As long as you don't leave.
But to those who knew them,
They were not the same,
Tainted by the dream world,
It surely wasn't tame.
They sent in a group,
Tied to rope and tree,
Surely they would come back,
Or so we thought, you see.
The rope went limp,
It was so very slack,
But they did return,
They did come back.

But their eyes were void,
Surely in the world,
They had been changed and toyed.
I went in myself,
After dark you see,
I didn't tell a soul,
I waited 'till sleep.
The world was pretty,
But something felt wrong,
I ventured deeper and deeper,
And soon I heard a song.
Please don't fear,
This web that I spin.
Sad little butterfly,
Do not fear,
Because soon, very soon,
It will all end here.
I felt so tired,
The song was inviting,
I lay against a tree,

The times Edward Elric cries are rare and few, but the tears that gush up and spill from the rims of his eyes now are without shame and restraint as they just keep flowing, tracing wet lines down his cheeks and dripping from his chin. He doesn't try to hide them or wipe them away as it finally occurs to him how stupid the 'men don't cry' rule is, for what he holds in his arms is the most beautiful, amazing, miraculous thing he's ever laid eyes on; he'd have to be bereft of a soul not to cry.
The emotion that fills his heart as he gazes down at his newborn son is raw and utterly overwhelming. He has never been happier.

Part III - Just Around the River Bend: Subplots
I feel it there, beyond those trees,
or right behind these waterfalls;
can I ignore that sound of distant drumming?
---from Disney's Pocahontas, "Just Around the Riverbend"
Subplots provide the basis for the meat of a story. They can be as small or as grand and complex as the situation may require; there can be as many or as few as you see fit to include.
There are generally two basic kinds of subplot: major and minor. The major subplot is one that may stretch over a longer section of your work and involve many important events or ideas. The minor subplot is usually smaller, and usually of less importance in the grand scheme of things. Both of these kinds of subplots fill in the space between the beginning and ending, and both are a means to move your characters or trigger events throughout your story.
A subplot can begin with almost any detail of your character, your world, or your concept. It often begins with a que

Name: With names, you don't want it to stand out too much and research is important. Alot of beginner writers are prone to go straight to the Japanese names, but it is possible for someone from over seas to join the Cannon group. Using your own name is fine too, but I find it best to look at Baby Name sights and find lists of popular surnames in different time periods. Go through the whole list, make a sublist of the ones you like best, then match the first names with the surnames and see which one sounds the best!
Age: This ones easy. But people still slip up! Making your character too young yet giving them certain skills, takes the attention away from the real prodigies of the show (and remember the show is based around them, not you) If part of your characters personality is that their intelligent, make it one that doesn't require much awe, but still keeps them useful as a cast member. Maybe a skill that the main character, or the love interest doesn't have. I.E - Winr

The Purpose-Driven Plot
This set of articles is intended as a guide to folks who are having trouble plotting out longer works, such as novellas, novels, and sets of novels. To do this, I have broken down the material into smaller sections for ease of use. We will begin with an overview of the four main types of plot, followed by a section on drawing up outlines, a note on subplots, a formal analysis in reverse, and then a collection of exercises that will incorporate the information presented here. It may sound dry, but please bear with me! I will try to make it as fun and informational as possible.
You know me; I love definitions because they allow us to establish a language game that we can play with. Er, I mean, they allow us to start on the same page. Merriam-Webster Online says:

Why oh dear, what's the matter?
What could be so bad,
as to make you sad,
on a day so bright and new?
Good day, Mr. Hatter,
perhaps if I sit with you I can,
make you laugh, and make you smile,
and sometime in that while,
draw you out of your dark and dreary mood.
Good day Mr. Hatter, yes I'd love a cup of tea!
Though I cannot quite understand,
why that involves your hand upon my knee,
or why you're so insistent,
on holding hands with me.
But you're right,
it is rather nice,
and is that a smile I see?
Good day, Mr. Hatter, what is that you say?
A kiss upon my cheek?
I suppose it could cause no harm,
no need for any alarm.
You missed my cheek and kissed my lips!
And I must say, how dare you sir!
You awful cad,
you rogue, you rake,
you unmitigated cur!
Good bye Mr. Hatter, for now I take my leave,
and no talk of shining smiles,
shall weaken my resolve.
And no mentions of missing me,
will cause my tears to fall

The beds were torn up with long claw marks, several things were scorched and blood splatters covered the shaggy carpet and bare walls.

As he wandered around the room, a trail of blood caught his attention. Following it led him to into another room that that appeared similar to the previous one. The only difference were the three bodies in the center of the room. Bastra couldn't make out much of them. The darkness around him made it hard to see their features. It appeared as if Reaper had just slunk inside through the main doors and was heading to the resting chambers upstairs. He would have expected it to be the other way around.
