The New Student
“I AM SO LATE!!” you shouted, running down the streets as quickly as you could. Your short, straight, chin length hair was now a complete mess as you turned the street. You began running down the stairs, hoping to see the school you’d practiced walking to for the past week since you moved here. You hadn’t met any of the students of that school during that time, so you were incredibly nervous. It was half way during the school year when your parents had decided to move here and enroll you in a different school. You’d left your best friend from your previous school due to your father’s work, and your mother had finally landed her dream job. Both were so busy now that you rarely saw them. So you had no choice but to settle yourself into your new school.
Finally you approached the school gates. The students had just begun filing into the building to get ready for the day. You quickly jogged inside, carrying your school case in y

He turned to see Nagisa, running towards him, butt naked.
"Nagisa, aren't you cold running around the locker room naked?" Makoto said, heaving a sigh.
"I was just so excited to hear that tomorrow is you and (Name)-chan's one month anniversary!" Nagisa said.
"Y-yeah," Makoto said, his face burning. He had spent all day trying to think of a present of some sort. He even tried asking Kou if she knew any interests (Name) had. However, nothing new came out of that. As the four boys changed in silence (well, except for Nagisa ranting about the anniversary) Makoto contemplated if he should ask for help from them. Even if they didn't know her interests, they could at least help him, right?
"Guys," Makoto stopped and said as they left the school. "I need your help."
"Oooo with what, with what?" Nagisa asked.
"I have no idea what to get for (Name)-chan for the anniversary," Makoto said, straight up. "She's so mysterious

(Name) turned to see a rather shorter girl running towards her. She had burgundy colored hair tied up in a pony tail. She looked like a first year. "Sorry, I know you're busy going home and all, but do you mind teaching someone how to swim today?"
(Name) froze. "And why would you want me to teach, exactly?" she asked, forcing a smile.
"Well, I was looking through some old school files last night (please don't ask how I got them) and I saw that you broke the prefecture record for swimming 100 Free your freshman year. I was rather impressed, not knowing there was a legend at our school. So, please teach a fellow classmate! I beg you!" She clasped her palms together and slouched, closing her eyes wishfully.
(Name) didn't know what to say. She didn't want to refuse, since she wanted to give a classmate an opportunity to swim. "Sure," she answered. "But where are we going to teach this person how to swim?"

(Name) stared out the window playing with her ponytail as the teacher blabbered on about how 4 would be x if 2x + x = 12. She couldn't care less. Today, finally, for the first time since the pool was cleaned and filled, it was raining. Honestly, (Name) didn't find rain so great. However, she loved rain that day.
Rain means no swim practice. No swim practice means an empty pool. Just thinking about it, (Name) felt excited. She loved swimming, even though she wasn't an expert at it. For some reason, swimming was the only exercise that she was fond of.
"Hey!" a whisper interrupted (Name) thoughts. She turned next to see her classmate, Makoto Tachibana, smiling pleadingly. She didn't like the sight of him. He was too adorable, and made her nervous. But she didn't necessarily like him. Instead, she wanted to feel more invisible around him. Perhaps it was because he was the only one that noticed her existence.

Such warmth that enclosed you, could only have come from somewhere high – heavens. And to feel such safety was surely some sort of Patronus’ doing. It had to be, considering how safe and comfortable you felt. As if you were in some kind of deep hibernation or coma, regenerating your energy and resting your fatigued body.
Nothing mattered. Everything was well.
Slumberland welcomed you generously, opening its gates and ushering you inside with fair promises. You felt like a child, who cozily snuggled up in her bed, after her mother tucked her in. The tepid feeling made you feel so homely, that you didn’t dare to move, in fear that it will vanish.
Thus with a soft, content sigh, you sank back in to the welcoming arms of Morpheus.

The pattern was woven through your psych. You’ve done it a million times. Breathe. You lifted your head to peek above the water, taking a quick breath before you put it down again to remain streamline. Push. You hands swiftly moved through the water, propelling you forward. Kick. As you hands reached your hips, your feet whipped down in a powerful kick, moving you forward enough to skate your hands over the surface of the water as you began the cycle once more. You were like a flame when you swam; flashy, warm and inviting for all to watch.
The water was a balm against your overheated body. You loved how it cooled you while allowing you to feel graceful. You weren’t graceful on land, often stumbling over nothing and running into walls. The painted stripe helped you estimate how far away from the wall you were, so that you would never swim into it. You were in your element.
Breathe. Push. Kick.

Makoto Tachibana, a student in his final year of high school and captain of the Iwatobi Swim Team, normally woke to the sound of his alarm clock, which was, of course, set for three hours later on the weekends. Today, however, on this particularly sunny Saturday, he woke to something else - a sweet, lovely sound that instantly stirred his curiosity.
It sounds like singing, he thought to himself as he sat up in bed and rubbed his tired eyes. The clock read 9:47 am and the sun already shined brightly through the window, waking him completely. He stood, stretched, and dressed before going to investigate the source of the sound. Once outside, he shoved a hand through his messy brown hair and looked around, finding nothing out of the ordinary in his crowded neighborhood, except for the singing that he could now hear clearly. Whoever it was also played an acoustic guitar, and Makoto, for what he knew of such things, thought she (for he could tell it was a girl) sounded quite talented.

For a moment, you can only stand there in shock before you come to your senses, brows furrowed in concern.

You were innocently wasting the beautiful day away on your laptop when you were interrupted by the buzzing sound of your cell phone. You turned your attention towards it and picked it up. When you saw that it was your friend Makoto that had texted you, you couldn't help but smile.
The text read, "Going to have a snowball fight. Want to come?"
Your smile widened when you read the text; Makoto was always considerate and liked to include you in the swim team's activities despite the fact that you were barely there to cheer the team on or to watch their practices—you still showed your support of course, but since you were almost always there for their out of school activities, you managed to form a close bond with the team. It was all thanks to your childhood friend, Makoto.
"Alright, sure. Where?" you texted back.
You placed the phone down on your lap and glanced back at your computer screen. It was only a few seconds un
