Doniel remembered falling. Remembered seeming to hang in air that buffeted him while the Overlord fought to take over his mind. Overlord Mardis, who'd all but defeated the band Sir William the Black had assembled, who'd been laughing as magical winds drove even the giant Khan to his knees.
Remembered pain from ribs broken when he'd been tossed against the wall early in the battle. Doniel had lain there, ignored by the Overlord's minions, until he'd realized he was near the balcony and that the Overlord stood with his back to the open space, all attention on the heroes.
Overlord Mardis never expected to be tackled by an injured hero, and fell.
Doniel remembered that. Remembered, too, the way the ground loomed when the Overlord's body went limp, in that moment before the impact that smeared the Overlord across the jagged rocks drove everything out. It hadn't hurt, at first. There'd been no room for pain.
Then, when pain rose, the welcome blackness. And waking in a tomb, where th

Maiala lay still and quiet in the deep shadows of the ravine while she watched the men pass. If they saw her, they'd beat her.
She might have been a useful extra set of hands, but lately as the wasteland expanded and the great river's poison ate more of the ocean's harvest she'd become more of a burden. A skinny girl slave wasn't as useful as a sturdy boy, and the other use for girls well, if it was that or food even the most lustful man would choose food.
If there'd been anywhere she could go, Maiala would have run. The Ruborian Desert was as secure a cage as anything physical, and the waste was worse. Villages like Cliffsedge were few and rare: there weren't many rivers, and most of them were poisoned by the waste.
Why her mother had dumped her here Well, that was easy enough. Cliffsedge was the closest Ruborian village to what was left of Evernight Forest, making it the obvious place for a dying, half-mad elf woman to leave her unwante

Being a teenager is... painful. It's low self-esteem and arrogance at the same time. It's puberty. It's hair. It's spots. It's hormones. It's... exploring yourself. It's strained friendships. It's new friendships. It's school. It's growing up. It's immaturity. It's dating. It's waking up on your fifteenth birthday with an already-forgotten wet dream, an erection and no time to do anything about it because you've slept in again.
Realizing that you fancy a guy is... bewildering. It's surprise and confusion at the same time. It's questions. It's answers you don't want. It's pausing mid-yawn when he catches your attention by falling over in his hurry to sit down and find yourself staring at him for half the lesson.
Doubting your sexuality is... denial. It's terrifying and liberating at the same time. It's relief. It's shame. It's blushing. It's more questions. It's lying. It's the truth. It's finding a girl you know likes you and using her in a blind and pointless attempt

1 - A Scootaloo episode:
As I said back in my analysis of the CMC, Scootaloo has had the least development out of all of the younger pony characters. And that's a shame because there seems to be plenty that we can do with her. For example, she is a pegasi that cannot fly. That alone could be the basis for a great story. We could have an episode where she feels like an outcast, the only pegasi of her age who is incapable of flight. We could see her trying to cope with it or even have it be something she's ashamed of.
We could even have that be the reason why she has Rainbow Dash be her personal hero. RD is, after all, one of the most accomplished fliers in Ponyville, so it makes sense that Scootaloo, who ca

I felt someone poking my shoulder and groaned, turning over slightly. A pale figure crouched next to the bed and stared at me. I pulled the duvet up higher, "What do you want Phil, it's like 3 in the morning."
His sweet voice rang out, "I had a nightmare, can I sleep in your bed?"
A nightmare. Typical Phil. I smiled slightly and wriggled over, making room.
Phil carefully climbed into bed snuggled up to my chest, his cold, pale fingers grappling at my shirt.
I hugged him closer to me, about to fall back asleep when a single thought leaked into my head.
Phil was still in Florida with his parents.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and pulled it out, seeing that I got a text from Phil.
“Don’t forget to feed Swimmy! I’ll be back from Florida tomorrow by the way, see you soon!”
Phil’s precious little goldfish.
God I hated that thing, ever since he got it that’s all he’d talk about.
“Dan! Swimmy just ate all his food! He’s such a big boy!”
“Aww, look! Swimmy has a little birth mark on his side, isn’t he the cutest thing?”
“Dan! Quick, get the camera! Swimmy just took a shit!”
Ok, maybe not the last one. But that little fish was seriously starting to get on my nerves. I rolled off the couch and slouched my shoulders, stomping into Phil’s room. I grabbed the small bottle of food on his dresser and sprinkled some into the fish bowl. I turned to leave but froze in place. Wait a minute. Turning back around slowly, I gasped

1) You know that saying “think outside the box”? Well its horseshit. Whoever told you that should be struck in the face repeatedly. You don’t want to think outside the box, you want to take a different approach within the box. It’s like if you’re stranded without a ride home and you think “Maybe I’ll just grow wings and fly home.” There was a test in which participants were prompted to create animals that would not be of this world. The result was that they ended up creating creatures that were awfully similar to earth creatures. It was probably stupid shit like green skinned tigers with red eyes. The reason was that they were told to

'i have no desire for food', she says.
i take her plate to the kitchen
noticing how the beetroot shavings bled into the skin of the chicken and brown rice.
it was blood, skin, and bone,
and the rice was a million starlike cells floating between.
this reminds me of my anatomy textbook:
we've been learning what's beneath our skin,
we learned that all cells divide. some cells often don't stop dividing.
other cells divide and stop when they should...
but not my grandmother's.
starlike, they explode, they shatter, they consume
i want to be mad at my grandmother's cells,
but what would that do?
i want to talk to my grandmother's cells,
i want to tell them they can be alive
and not kill her.
i have to catch the moon,
i have to visit hades and bargain with beautiful music,
i have to sell my voice for legs,
i have to sail the ocean blue in search of a good reason why cancer can't just be what it is.

Graduation DayGraduation Day:Graduation Day2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
They told us we would be alright...
We had fought with honour and won our titles.
We had overcome trials together -
Watching dozens of our siblings fall in the line of duty.
For this they had promised us, a wondrous welcome;
A bountiful world of adventure, with a myriad of paths.
All this, they said, awaited us in the stone cities.
Large metropolises, where the working folk resided...
There were hundreds of us, who made that journey.
Walking miles across the scorching desert,
Clinging to a hope of the fortunes beyond.
Yet what awaited us was not a promised land -
Nor was it a life based on the merit we had earned...
Instead we found ourselves quarantined,
Pitching tents of inexperience-
Huddling together for comfort and warmth;
As the great gates of employment stood eerily silent.

The Gauntlet is very importune device, Sire. Your ancestor the First Overlord created the original Gauntlet but his descends continued to improve the design to be more multifunctional; the primary function of the Gauntlet allows you to control the Minions in a more sophisticated way than merely shouting at them. It will transfer your thoughts into commands that will then be broadcast to your Minion horde, which will then do as you say.
Besides it's primarily use of controlling your minions more effected in battle it also can transport all the life-force, gold and potions and small objects that you collect directly to the Tower or store them inside magical inventory of near-infinite size called a Spell Space so that you can use them

Why does my head hurt so much?

What's going on?
"I promise he'll come back one day Ash"
Why do I feel...different?
"He's been gone for six months...There's no way he's going to come back."
So many questions...
"Should we look for a new singer?" "We should just disband...Black Veil Brides isn't Black Veil Brides without Andy..."
Why is this happening?
"He's gone now...It's been a year. I give up. I should just find somebody else..."
I feel so alone...Where is everybody?
Opening my eyes slightly, I could hear the sound of an engine. Am I on the tour bus? I pawed at my eyes to get them to focus. I suddenly heard voices coming from, what I guessed to be, the front of the vehicle.
"Hey, I think he's up" One voice said.
"Fuck..." The second voice muttered. How could I have heard that, he whispered it yet I was somehow able to hear it. What's going on
