Dave x John Karkat
He was leaning back into the sofa, almost sinking down in it as he stared at the ceiling. His eyes stared at what was practically nothing, as his mind went nearly a thousand miles per hour. He heard only the music that blasted through the headphones covering his eyes. The entire headset was solid black, with a red circle design in the center of each headphone. The colors matched perfectly with that of his broken record shirt. The boy hardly ever said a word when he was by himself. Dave Strider was fairly quiet when he wasn't looking to bother his friends, and that mostly happened only when typing was involved. In the reality of things, he found himself locked in his own thoughts a lot of the time.
So he had to stop himself from looking too surprised when his rather lively best friend swung the door open like he was going to warn Dave about the apartment having caught on f

His words were whisked away as he took a shaky breath. They even looked at him for a split second. Their eyes showed no emotion to him. Like it was normal to break a little troll's heart. Tears leaked from Karkat's eyes as he went to the liquor cabinet. When times get rough, you need to get wasted. “Hey Karkat, come over here for a second.” Dave said, as Karkat stood up, shoving the pencil through the napkin and getting it stuck through the wood of the table, and walked over to Dave.
“What is it, fuckface?” He asked irritantly, sitting down next to him and stroking Dave’s God Tier cape.
“First off, off the cape.” Dave began, trying to shoo Karkat’s hand away from his cape, but he wouldn’t budge.
“Hey, I just wanna see what it feels like! Gog…” Karkat retorted, stroking up and down the cape, trying to keep himself from purring. That’s how comforted he was just by knowing that Dave was there to protect him, and because Dave’s cape was abnormally

You open your eyes and look up at him, daring to smile, though it is small. Nearly hidden. This isn't allowed- it's tabboo, unheard of- well, perhaps not, but for your caste it certainly is. You slide your fingers up his jaw, slipping them beneath the legs of his sunglasses and slowly lifting them onto the top of his head.
His eyes are beautiful- so much like your own, though his are natural, rubies and scarlettes, while yours are too vivid, too mutant. He whispers his love as he leans in, slowly pressing his forehead to yours. Your smile grows minutely and you move your arms to wrap around his neck.
There are a few seconds of calm silence as you stand there in each other's arm

Dave Strider was definitely not friendly. It was an obvious fact that just about all of his classmates understood about immediately. Despite having transferred to his school three weeks into junior year, he quickly settled into a standard routine of going through his monotonous day with little more than a few seconds worth of speech. But that all changed when he happened to bump into somebody, quite literally in fact, on his second week there.
An alarm rang, the digitally blinking face reading 5:15. A hand wormed its way out of the nest of blankets it’d been in, smacking blindly at the clock until it fell off of the nightstand.
“Fuck....” mumbled a bleary voice. The teenager sat up in his bed, rubbing at his eyes and leaning down, cracking open one ruby eye to search for the blaring electronic clock. His thin fingers brushed its wire, and he grabbed it quickly, yanking it up by the cord. He mashe

Until you actually screamed at the voices

Of course you lost them in the end but...
You don't even know if their dead.
Or maybe just not talking to you.
But you had a list of things why.
You were constantly an asshole.
Its not like you meant to be...
It was just how you were raised.
Of course there was nothing you could do to get them back.
You knew this of course.
But you didn't want to believe it.
Not one bit.
The voices told you that you had driven them away.
That it was your fault they never called,
That they never visited anymore.
Maybe the accident that happen to you
Is what drove them away?
You lost almost all feeling in your right arm
For nearly a year.
You had to keep your left eye closed
Due to a fracture inside that wou

A sob echoed through the room. The room was pitch black, the curtains drawn so no light, not even the moon and stars, could penetrate into the room; anyone that tried to walk through would surely trip over the thingsclothing, crumpled papers, an old acoustic guitarlittered about the floor, or bump into somethingthe cluttered desk or dresser that was for some reason in the middle of the floor. But the man lying in the bed, staring up at the ceiling and sobbing, didn't seem to care about the presentation of the room, or himself, for that matter.
I could've helped him.
Slowly, he sat up straight, not leaning on the headboard, but slumping forward a bit. A pale hand passed through his unkempt, greasy hair. His breath hitched in his throat suddenly and he grabs at the blanket, his knuckles white with strain. His eyes squeezed shut as his chest tightened; pain seized him. He buried hi

With that look in your eye,
And your own secret throne,
The secrets you hide,
You know that I know.
Don't know your destination,
Disgust of Assassination
I know why you're you, out in the dark,
With that look in your eye,
That electric spark,
That past that you hide,
It's no secret anymore.
Your not at all cliched,
Double blade, a maid,
Made to assassinate
I know your past, why you hide away,
The family and friends you lost,
The price you had to pay,
It's not really your fault,
Your not that alone.
You take a long time deciding,
Your striding, colliding
Your own world your dividing
I know you begged, when you were young,
In streets at morn, dusk and dawn,
To feed yourself, I know that it stung,
Scars in your heart,
Though of course you won't

I stare at my beside table vacantly, the bottle of pills glaring back at me. My heart does this little stop-start, and I gasp in a quick breath. The pills let out a laugh, making me cover my ears and lean over so far my knees touch my chest. A hiccup-like noise passes through my parted lips; God, I'm so pathetic sometimes! Still holding the sides of my head, I stand and walk to the window. I smile as I look out, seeing you waving to me from the outside. I return in, but as I acknowledge your presence, you vanish in a puff of smoke. A frown, something almost permanent on my face, creeps into my features as I turn away from the glass.
I run a hand through my black hair, a heavy sigh fleeing my chest. I go to the mirror on my dresser, and take in my checked pajama bottoms, dirty black t-shirt, and unkempt and filthy hair. I huff out a breath; something moves at the ve

He was only eight at the time, but he knew it was still love. Sure, his hands were covered with dirt, his face was scratched up, and his eyes were red from crying all day, but he knew it was still that wonderful, overwhelming emotion.
He was sitting in the sandbox at his elementary school, the sand and other materials covering him from head to toe. Maybe that's why he was crying, but it was so long agohe can't remember now.
It was late at nightwell, late to an eight-year-old, so it was only around five. It was chilly outsideit only being around twenty degrees Fahrenheit, and he wasn't wearing a sweaterand Frank trusted the sand in this small box to hold him through the night.
His parents had gotten mad at him that morning when they woke up and stepped in a puddle of puppy piss. They told him they wouldn't pick him up from school, because he was a bad boy for not letting the dog out last night. He

Arms, such familiar arms, wrap around my waist from behind. My head starts spinning and I almost want to throw up. It feels like my skin is suddenly crawling; I want to dig my fingernails into my skin and scratch until crimson runs down my arms. But instead, I rest my hands over yours and look at us in the mirror.
My heart jumps into my throat at the sight of how much the two of us have changed over the years. We both still have our dyed black hair, but the sunken in cheeks and black-ringed eyes are new. We're quite the sight when we're seen walking down the street, my hand clasped firmly in yours. I'm pretty sure we scare a shitload of people.
You interlock our fingers, threading yours through my own. I sigh and squeeze your hands. You kiss the back of my neck sweetly; I lean back into you and the frailness of your body makes it difficult for you to keep the two of us upright.

Frank looked around the living room of their new apartment. Unopened boxes were scattered across the room. His boyfriend and he finally got a place of their own, a nice two bedroom apartment close to Gerard's college and Frank's work.
One box caught his attention. It didn't have anything written on it, all the others had room names on them. Gerard was outside pulling more boxes from the car. He crouched down and ripped the tape off it. Inside was a D&D dungeon master guide, some old notebooks and an old handheld game console.
He pulled the console out, seeing that it was a yellow GameBoy Color, and saw there was a game in the slot. He snickered when he saw what game it was.
"Frank? What's that?" Gerard asked bringing in the last box and setting it next to his boyfriend.
"I knew you were a geek but I didn't know you were this much of a geek!" Frank giggled, flipping the GameBoy on.
Gerard frowned, "What are you talking about?" He looked in the box, seeing his old D&D stuff and looked ba

lives a creature who's not very kind
His fangs are sharp and ready to slice
been there, done that more than thrice
This little monster isn't all that rare
he shows up in school, dreams, nightmares
The teachers always said she was out of tune
already gone but much too soon
In their thoughts they held her soul close by
made sure she was fine but hoped not to pry
Now, she's still alive, hanging by a string
a tired angel flying with only one wing
You'd think her peers would want to stop in
Take a little time to wash her of sin
Maybe tell a tale or grasp her hand
stare for a while at her wristband
As much as I'd love to tell you a lie
they never said anything but “try not to die”
Her parents, oh God, they were the worst
only came once to sit and to curse
A phone call or two, but that was the end
they were scared their little girl wasn't on mend
This made her sad, afraid of it being her fault
that she had to go and bring her life to a halt

We were walking through the jungle. And came upon a vast clearing. 60 feet across. Fearing the dangers of the dark jungle, I decided to lead the team into the clearing to make our camp. We reached the center and began to pitch our tents. Mind you it was pitch black, but for our lanterns. Dead of night with barely a sliver of moon.
Never truly relaxed, I still felt a certain degree of reassurance. I felt this place would be safe. It wasn't until we got the fire going that I felt something watching us. I kept stealing glances into the murky darkness of the jungle that surrounded us. Under our chatter and the clatter of pots, I could hear a dark murmuring. As the meal came to a close, I put my back to the fire. When my colleagues asked why, I bluffed them. I told them my back was cold and I wished to warm it be

I remember when I first saw Frank. I thought . . . well, I thought he was weird, honestly. He was the kid that sat in the back of the classroom with his head down all the time. He never took notes, or read aloud, or volunteered to answer a question or run up to the board like everyone else did. He was always kinda subdued in the way that I thought he was going to burst out in tears. And as it turns out, he always wanted to. He just never did, until one day, when we were in the sixth grade.
He was sitting behind me, in our assigned seats. I turned my head back to look at him and saw he had his forehead on the edge of his desk, as always, but his face was illuminated by the screen of his cell phone, which he had hidden under his desk. I watched, rather helplessly, as a tear slid down his nose, off the tip, and down to spatter on the screen. He was crying.
"Frank?" I whispered.

I can't see very far ahead through the snowfall. I trudge on, though. I know exactly where I'm going because well, because I go there all the time. It's the only place when I can see my boyfriend at ease. When he's not slurring his words or fogged with whatever he is on for the week.
Then, I spot him, my boyfriend. He's slumped over in front of the grave, shaking and wet and so tiny looking. I hold the jacket up to my red cheeks, hoping to warm them as I step closer. I look at the tag on the inside of the collar, and read the name scrawled there. The handwriting is undeniable, even after it's been almost half a year since the la
