Sooooo. I was working on doing a sketch illustrating how I start a sketch and I noticed an issue.
The one on the left has the exact same size head as the one on the right. The difference is that I used head measurements on the one on the right to measure out the length of the body (Chin to sternum, sternum to belly button, belly button to bottom of pelvis, and then from bottom of the pelvis to the top of the head is the same.)
My issues is that they both look right to me. >< One just seems taller.
I tried something new on blocking out the body on the one on the right. Used all straight lines, and I'd fill them in softer after I got everything how I wanted it. Helps me easily add lines to block out shapes in 3D like I did with the feet.
The guidelines I placed are to make sure that I kept parts of the body that don't bend on the same plane.
