Chay opened one eye, the orb rolling slightly as he looked over at Liar. The young dragon was lying down on the couch, shirtless, dressed only in a pair of jeans, his bare feet hanging down over the edge of the couch. It had been way too hot lately to dress fully, especially since he had no intention of leaving the house today. It was Sunday after all, a day for rest and relaxation. His wings were tucked up behind him, making a kind of extra cushion for him. "What are you babbling about now?"
Liar looked over his shoulder at Chay, a satisfied grin on his face. Despite the heat he was still dressed in his usual outfit of a long sleeve shirt and scarf. "Not even you are going to put me in a bad mood today! Look!"
The young man stepped aside, proudly showing off a small metal box which was sitting on the kitchen table. Chay yawned, clearly unimpressed, and closed his eye again. "So what?"
"So what?!" Liar said, rushing over to the couch, glaring down at the bor

Dennis wasn't exaggerating. The man he was chasing had disappeared into the thick woods by the time Dennis made his entry.
The boy couldn't help but feel a sense of deja vu as he stumbled upon familiar ground in the depths of the forest. He examined the surrounding bushes, comparing them to the ones he remembered from the fragments of his memory.
"Yup, been here... somehow."
He didn't know when or how it had happened, but everything was still fresh in his mind. He remembered taking photos of the trees and flowers around the area, not moving on until he was satisfied with the pictures he took.
"And I was resting beside this tree... like this." Dennis locked his hands behind his head and enjoyed the breeze that blew against him. "Ah, the wind feels great."
Something reminded him that he wasn't in Evergrowth for sightseeing. He needed solid answers and the man he was chasing seemed to know a thing or two.
Dennis tried to recall the route he took during his last trip, pon

"Details later, kid." Eurid answered. "Now hurry up and get on!"
Eurid had disappeared. Dennis saw a bright blue flash from behind, and heard him say, "Over here, kid!"
He turned around and saw a blue thing made of rocks like Eurid's, but the size of a billiards table.
"Yo," it said.
Dennis squinted at it.
"Is… is that you, Eurid?" he asked.
"Ain't it obvious, kid? Now get over here!"
Dennis blinked a few times. Eurid was still made of rocks, but he was longer and had a dragon's snout, and his hair had grown into a long, white mane that flowed down his back and front. He had transparent wings that didn't seem to do anything, and, like his body, his tail was much longer. His left horn was still broken, though, and he still sounded like Eurid: low, and gravelly.
"Hurry up, will ya!" Eurid growled. "You can gawk at me all you want later."
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Dennis grumbled. Ugh! He's really getting on my nerves.

It was such as simple thing to say. Just two words that any other day of the week have no power whatsoever. On that one special day a year, however, it can mean so much more. Kevin never put much stock into birthdays. He didn't have any close friends so he never had a party. It was always a simple affair, just his parents and his younger brother. That's all he wanted. Perhaps also an occasional greeting in the hall, an acknowledgment of his existence, a quick phrase to let him know that he was noticed.
As the years went on and he entered high school, however, birthdays went from being a mere fact of life to a yearly torture, a constant reminder that he was, in fact, not noticed. That he was never noticed. Shyness, awkwardness, an inability to form coherent sentences, a tendency to stare vacantly like an idiot when someone talked to him, all of these problems and more plagued him, driving away even the nice ones who wanted to try and talk with him. It was impossible to

This morning was one of those normal boring mornings. Nothing too important to note about it; I woke up and immediately slipped a pair of cargo shorts over my bodysuit, stepped into a pair of black combat boots, and grabbed a jacket before heading out the door. Im told I have a strange style of clothing, but I just wear what Im comfortable in.
Later that afternoon, after much lazing about, I found I had nothing better to do so I was pretty much screwing around an abandoned part of town. You know, the warehouse district right off of Lyons Road? Yeah thats the area, so I was just hanging out there. When I was a little kid I used to come out here with my friends, and wed just get lost in the maze of empty buildings. &
Join the Boxing Team: A Giant Request!Tsunayoshi “Tsuna” Sawada slowly made his way down the sidewalk in front of his house, dragging his feet, a tired expression on his face. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, dispelling any of the morning fog that remained. It promised to be a beautiful day, which made it all the more vexing that Tsuna would have to spend it inside the school all day, a place he didn’t particularly enjoy being on the best of days. It didn’t help that his life lately had been turned completely upside down with the appearance of his “tutor” Reborn, a seemingly sadistic infant that enjoyed torturing him under the pretext of making him into a Mafioso against his will…or at least that’s how Tsuna himself saw it. Now instead of just getting teased and mocked by most of the school he was forced into deadly situations and constantly shot at! It was sheer luck that Reborn used a strange series of magic bullets that helped Tsuna complete these tasks with minimJoin the Boxing Team: A Giant Request!2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

It was your typical, average Saturday at the Okumura brothers' dorm. Oddly, someone else was walking the halls today. Sixteen year-old Renzo Shima was busy texting on his cell phone after having a chat with Yukio about his grades as of late. Usually the pink haired teen wouldn't have minded such a talk, but it had forced him to miss an important date.
"Great, now she hates me." Shima mumbled as he read the last not-too-friendly text message and snapped his phone shut before pocketing it. "That's the third chick this month. Am I losing my touch?" Shima laced his arms behind is head and stared at the ceiling as he thought. "I think she had a pretty hot sister, maybe I could-"
Shima stopped in mid-sentence when he heard, and felt, a wet crunch under his right foot. Barely moving his head; the young Exorcist-in-training looked down at his shoe and gulped. He slowly pulled back his foot to reveal the squashed remains of some kind of beetle-like bug. It's yellow, slimy guts were all over the

He ran a hand through his short golden brown hair and closed his eyes, trying to ignore the pain. His arm was killing him. He had mentally bashed himself for three days now- for reaching for the wrong rock in climbing the mountain face. The jagged rock left a nasty gash in his arm. He had bandaged it up to the best of his abilities, but his job involved camping out in the deep of woods many a night, and the lack of proper sanitation was taking its toll. When the sun began to sink in the sky, he removed his camouflage and started a small fire. Leaning back against a sequoia, Jude unraveled the dirty strip of bandage and groaned.
"Oh that is definitely infected..."
In his experience, the quickest route from place to place was a straight path. He made his own way across the varied terrain instead of trying to shuffle along the marked routes. It was more efficient, and stress-saving to avoid that mess of people. He had settled down in an isolated c

I sighed as I looked around.
I couldn't believe that not only had I been able to find a home of my own,(granted this was the country not the residential city I was used to) but also was able to keep one of the computers to use as my own, plus my parents said they'd leave me alone.
I'd recently been chatting up with a friend I met online telling him about the move, my friend had been the one who suggested the place i'd moved to. Though I wasn't all that impressed, the city I had moved to was kinda small, I didn't really pay attention to the name of the city though I did manage to find an apartment with a low rent cost, and there was a grocery store nearby, still, I couldn't help but think that I was missing something.
I looked at the calender and sighed, Halloween was just around the corner, and I still didn't have a costume, not that I thought I needed one, it was just that most people wore costumes

So Misty, like what you see before you?

He was perfectly situated between two series of long red stitches, looping around the ball and meeting themselves in a sports ouroboros. The string binding him to the ball was wrapped all the way around it, his tiny body barely noticeable against it unless you were looking for it. The ball was currently resting on the dusty concrete in front of a small Japanese shop, engulfed in the shadow of a young boy…a rather imposing young boy with bright red hair, his athletic body covered with a plain white shirt with the logo of the shop behind them stamped on the front along with a pair of bright blue track pants, the cuffs folded up to his calves, two wh

Ash then proceded to flex his non-existant abs as tight as he could, visibly straining himself as he pushed his muscles to the limit (which wasn't much). Your teammates high-fived you and everyone else for their great teamwork.
You decided to leave them be, and walked over to the water fountain.
As you were drinking, a person casted a shadow on you, making it dim.

You made way for him to use the water fountain,
