hollow eyes locked on the final selection,
cold sweat is painfully descending my spine,
whispers have been claiming I shouldn't have crossed the line.
Fiery Gothic letters are burning the black skies,
talking about principles-the indisputable ties,
speaking of The Logical, The Equal, The Right,
The Just, The Free, The Good, and The Eternal Might.

I'll find you.
I can hide.
I'm inside you.
I can forget.
I'll remind you.
I can erase.
It is permanent.
I can deny it.
I'll reveal the truth.
I'll wait it out.
It'll last forever.
I can't run.
You are trapped.

Listen to the crying in the dark
Listen to the hatred in the halls
Listen to the violence in your mind
See the fear in your own eyes
See the tears slide down her cheek
See the Hate flow through the people
See the madness in your mind
Feel the pounding of your chest
Feel the warmness of her face
Feel the blood slide down your chin
Feel the chaos erupt in your mind
It keeps you awake all night
It keeps you from smiling all day
It keeps you from letting them in

CuriosityFlames licked up the wood paneling of the house, sending black smoke spiralling into the night air. Muffled screams could be heard from inside its walls, as the cottage at the edge of the woods collapsed. The fire spat into the night, cackling as it feasted on the ruins of the house. Finally, the flames ceased, leaving only smoldering remains behind. The only noise that broke the silence was the sound of sirens in the distance, as an unnaturally dark shadow slipped away, unnoticed.Curiosity1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This

I groaned as I got out of bed, cracking my stiff back. I swear Logan; you’re getting older by the second. I said to myself. As I slipped on a pair of grey sweatpants and a hoodie that I had gotten from my university, my chocolate lab, Mars, bounded in to greet me. At least someone seems to be having a good mornin

I know I can beat you, but I'm not sure how.
You manipulate me and you steal my grace.
You've made me feel like I have no place.
You take advantage of me and the times of my life
When I hurt the most and you give me strife.
There are things that are telling me this is not right.
Things in my head that are saying to fight.
It may not be easy and it may not be fun,
But I would much rather face you than be scared and run.
I'll gather my strength and I'll show fortitude
And I'll take your own medicine and give it to you.

Head is spinning.
You run faster and faster,
but you know she's winning.
As she closes the distance
her voice becomes clear,
whispering your secrets,
and your darkest of fears.
Your energy is waning,
and she's only getting faster,
and you know without a question,
this will end in disaster,
Suddenly there's a grip on your arm,
It's stubborn and strong.
It's all over now.
It's all going wrong.

She sits here with the ink and quill,
She sits here in the black dress and frill,
The words endlessly draining her but still,
She'll remain to write until.
Alive she'll be no more,
For this illness has no cure,
And silently she'll watch you pour,
This poison she'll drink for sure.
Broken and shattered she'll remain,
She took a path down the wrong lane,
For she knew there was nothing to gain,
Nothing left to explain.
As there was nothing left to tell,
Only time left to dwell,
Upon how far she fell,
Falling so far, this must surely be hell?
And quietly she sits and sighs,
How could this be hell when looking in your eyes?
She wishes this to be her demise,
As for this she'd endure endless lies.
And as day fades into night,
Still she will forever write,
Of when darkness may turn to light,
And this stranger will be within her sight.

She cannot go out and she wonders why.
Her sister lifts her and carries her away,
But more than anything, she wants to stay.
At night there's a howling outside her room,
And a beating on the windows that rings with a boom
She hears all the noises and then she hides
Afraid that at some point it will come inside
One night they did not close the blinds on the door
So she stared in the night searching for more.
SLAM! On the glass was a monstrous thing
And the howls and the noises made her ears ring.
The thing broke the glass and went running at her
She screamed for her mom and her dad and sister
It's sharp teeth glowed white but were dripping with blood
And its claws were sharp and filthy with mud.
Her sister came down to save her at last
But all of a sudden she was gone with a flash
She came to her aid again she and smiled
The thing was gone, back to the wild.
They lock the doors as she stares outside
She cannot go out and now she knows why.

from forlorn eyes
A fountain of purest substance,
flooded with lies...
Tainted by insult;
my disrespected youth
Shrouded in deceit
and deviated from the truth.
Beaten down by those
who held my trust...
And taken advantage of
with a searing lust
with anything that I said;
Whether 'twas fib or fact,
my tears were shed.
I barely withstood
their trembling fury
Tormented and questioned
by my own kinsmen's jury...
I could take it no longer;
the road was too rough...
My virtue was eclipsing;
silence and faith wasn't enough
I lost my path in dusk;
my innocence fled to darker lands
With a box of sharp objects,
I took matters into my own hands...
Shrouded by mists of confusion and pain,
I didn't know what to do
Left afraid and alone,
there was not one soul I could turn to...
And even if there was...
They wouldn't have cared to know...
They wouldn't have cared at all...
And they wouldn't have understood.

Life is to short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people that treat you right, forget about the ones who don't! And believe that everything happens for a reason, if you get a chance, take it , if it changes your life, let it , no one said life was easy, they just promised that it was worth it. So please enjoy your time on earth with the people you love, you might not know if this is your last time you see them , so take the chances life throws at you and live happy

Mirror mirror on the wall,
Who is the broken girl who lies upon my floor?
Who is she? What's her name?
She looks like me but we're not the same.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
I watched with sadness as I saw her fall,
I could hear her scream your name all night,
It kept me awake with bitter fright.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
How much more must this broken girl endure?
When you hurt her I could feel her pain,
The path you led her had sent her insane.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
I'll only ask you this once more,
Who is the broken girl I can see,
Can it be true she's really me?

O shiny metal, how you sting,
but I know the relief the pain will bring.
Each cut is a scream I held in.
Each drop is the releasing of my sin.
Shiny metal, you're my dearest friend,
and now you take me to my end.
Thank you, metal, for setting me free.
Thank you, for the end of me.

"Yeah. I'm fine." she breathed, a smile growing wide on her face.
"Well, then what's going on?"
Rose was beaming as she held up a white stick for him to see. John's eyes were wide.
"You mean " he started.
"I'm gonna be a " he stuttered.
She nodded again.
"We're having a baby?" he finally managed to get out of his mouth.
Rose grinned as she nodded one more time and nearly squealed as John picked her up and whirled her around the room.
"John put me down."
"Oh right. Sorry." he chuckled as he set her down gently. He smiled as he took her head in his hands and gave her a tender kiss. Being part Time Lord and part human, he didn't know if children would even be a possibility

It started off with an obsession,
A minor depression,
You were beauty in the purest form,
An end to the previous storm.
I longed to talk to you,
Tell me all the wonderful things you knew,
I wasn't good enough to feel your embrace,
Let alone look at your pretty face.
Months passed me by,
As I glanced up at the stars in the sky,
Thinking of you was my release,
Carelessly letting my feelings increase.
But then came the bitter twist,
Thought I'd add them onto my list,
I just wanted to get to know you more,
This was the start of my downfall.
I couldn't handle it anymore,
I had to tell you it all,
From the moment I dialled your name,
I knew things would never be the same.
From now on you thought I was crazed,
When you called me stalker you left me fazed,
I felt so misunderstood,
I couldn't handle the pressure, it was no good.
It's been a year since that day,
My feelings they grow, they don't go away,
I don't sleep, I don't eat,
I'll soon be ready to admit defe

And twas I who loved her...
I held her in these hands,
Like a warm blanket,
Comforting and kind.
But she was a bitter poison, toxic and deadly.
No antidote to her venom;
I wasted away with delirious eyes.
A coward they called her,
And it was the truth!.
But to save myself, I would have her bleed.
Her heart a raw panacea;
Crunched between my teeth...

When you entered key stage 3 in spring, you were late in getting a friend.
You sat in your assigned seat in the classroom, staring into space as your classmates conversed with each other. No one bothered to acknowledge your existence.
"How about we eat first then go home?"
"Hey, did you see an awesome student from class 1-4?"
You brought your notebook close to your chest and pouted.
"I failed to talk with my classmates again," you muttered under your breath.
'Geh! I'm do stupid!' you thought, hitting yourself on the head, 'Why do I have to be sick on the first day of school! This is so irritating!' You looked at a group of girls over your shoulder.
'How should I approach them now?' you asked in your head, letting a sigh escape your lips. You were unaware of a girl approaching you from behind.
"______, why are you sighing?" she asked as she laid a hand on your shoulder. You turned your head to the side and your jaw dropped open. A pretty girl with forest green eyes and shoulder-length b

You shrugged, covering a yawn as you leaned onto his shoulder, “He’s not as difficult as you made him out to be.”

You quirked an eyebrow at him, teasing, “If you’d use your brain more he’d be nicer to you too.”
John gave you a light shove, pressing a hand to his heart as if you’d injured him, “The things you say. My own sister.”
You giggled, gathering him to you in a tight hug, “I love you Johnny.”
He rested his head on yours, “I love you too Squeak.”

What do you do with a llama? What do you do with a llama? Allow me to let you in on a little secret. Llamas are the most useful creatures in existence. You don't believe me? Well then, I shall prove it to you. What do you do with a llama?4 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Let me start with the basics. Llamas have been used to caddy golf clubs, act as guard animals for sheep, carry down ore from mountain mines, and drive carts for transportation. They can be used for entertainment when breeders bring their llamas to compete in shows and races, their meat can be used to make burgers and steaks (and it apparently tastes like a mixture of beef and lamb with a tinge of extra sweetness), and they can be even used for companionship due to their gentle and good-natured souls. Still not convinced? Their thick outer coat of fur can be used to make rugs and ropes, while their fine undercoats can be turned into garments and handicrafts. Oh, and guess what? Llamas can be ev
