Shikamaru continued signing the after action reports, ignoring the loud music and the raucous laughter outside. Parties just weren’t his thing, even a blowout to celebrate the end of the Fourth Great War.
Even after he had dismissed them, his squad mates had tried their best to convince him to join them in the festivities. Ino had practically danced back into the tent, her long blonde hair flowing behind her, giving him a forced, flirtatious wink from under her long bangs. “Come with us Shikamaru!” she had teased, smiling through her sorrow and loss, but it didn’t reach her eyes. “The war’s over! We won! Surely we can forget the paperwork and live a little!”
Ino had been drowning in her grief; she desperately needed an escape from the reality of things dragging her down. She had held them all together. Tiles moved on his mental bo

The blinding morning sunlight stirred the Scottish princess from her enlightened slumber, a mop of red curls hiding her face as Queen Elinor cheerily announced her daughter's wake-up call. Merida groaned at the coming of morning, the sun just peaking over the horizon, as she rolled away from the window and pulled her rough beige sheets up over her curly-haired head.
"Come now, dear! We've got lots of preparations to attend to! The ball is in three days time!", Her Majesty announced with utmost joy. Merida just moaned and wedged her head beneath her pillows. For months now the maiden had heard of nothing but this social event in which she was being forced into. Merida had the invitation memorized, every dip and curl of it's gold print ingrained in her memory, the message reading of a grand masquerade for all the members of the Disney Princess Royal Court. Disgust tingled in Merida's fingertips at the thought of it all: the sparkly dress, the millions of people, the meticulous choreograp

Dull, clouded light accentuated the many dust particles floating through the tragedy of the room. With wide jade eyes, Rapunzel hyperventilated at the great amount of sudden change thrust upon her. Her mind could barely comprehend the charade of the past few hours. Death seemed to be a favoring topic. Gothel's pale, sagging face, crippled with fear, haunted her each time she blinked, her rhythmic breathing lulling her into a wide-eyed trance...no. She couldn't let the weight on her shoulders collapse before. With quick realization, she dove to the thief lying lifeless on her floor, gasping for air. The incredible new speed and agility Rapunzel possessed surprised her at first, the heavy, golden hair which had burdened the maiden her entire life having finally been destroyed. Her trembling fingers grasped at her choppy, brown locks, panic distributing itself across every inch of her body as Eugene deteriorated, and she spat out that deadly lullaby as best as she could remember. Why? Why
Un-TangledThe tower stood tall, but awkward. It had been there for as long as anyone could remember, which was a long time. She'd heard legend once of an old woman who lived there long ago, but she'd probably died by now.Un-Tangled3 years ago in Scraps More Like This
"You know, staring at it longer won't move it closer."
Turning her eyes, she saw him standing tall and sure. He was so handsome, so confident. She'd wanted to be with him all her life.. but how could someone as plain and boring as her could captivate such a man? All the girls wanted him, so why had he picked her? Regardless, he had. His father hadn't been happy, so they'd run off into the woods together to the secret cove where the ancient tower still stood. They'd eloped, so to speak.
She smiled at him, and taking his hand they moved towards their future.

The wood crackled and the fire burned brightly beneath the mantle. It wasn't the most roomy tower but it was comfortable for just the two of them. She was sitting next to him leaning on his shoulde

Some say love is a delicate bird
A dove; loving, merry, and free
But I don't
It is a crow with a hard raspy voice
Taking what it wants then flying away
Others say love is a rose
Budding and blooming with beauty
But I don't
Every rose has its thorns
And every flower must one day wilt
Still more say it is the face of another
One that is honest, one that cares
But I don't
There is no face that is honest in the world
They all wear masks to hid what they truly mean
Love has betrayed me too many times
For me to think differently
I have seen loves true face
