“What do you want with my room?” Ciel smiles awkwardly, calling on his ‘innocent first year mask’ to pull him through--even though he was caught sneaking around after hours.
It’s past hours when students are allowed out of their dorms, but there’s a small group of boys in uniform. Each has a serious expression, and holds his shoulders square.
One young man in particular has an air of offended dignity, and he wears the blue of the house. Another boy has an expression of outrage, and the trembling fingers to match. He would have it seem as distress, but Ciel recognizes it as excitement.
“My letter opener is missing!” Maurice pouts. He rubs his eyes as though he had just woken up, but his impeccable makeup suggests he hasn’t really gone to sleep at all. “It’s worth quite a lot. And who else could have taken it when you’re the only one we found lurking around after hours?” Hi

CHAPTER 29: That Teacher, Scheming.
The final work-week opened with a dawn that was as glorious as it was bitter. The news channels were filled with follow-up information on the department store terror-attack, and despite fears of attendance drops and angry parents, the school day began with all its usual mishaps.
Grey eyed me as I stepped into the Staff Room, his gentlemanly features schooled into a carefully blank expression. “Are you really feeling better?” he asked, cutting directly to the chase.
I glanced at him for the barest of a moment before letting my lips twitch upward. “I shall endure.”
The teachers surrounding our desks turned their heads to observe the two of us.

"Look at this poor boy, darling. His glasses are broken."
"What's wrong? It'll just take me a moment, hold on."
"Can we go, mommy? His eyes scare me..."
"It's alright, honey. Without these glasses, his life is lost. But with them, he can be useful for eternity."
"What're you doing? They're broken. There's nothing you can do."
"Nonsense. Here we go. Good as new!"
"How did you--"
"What's a demon if they can't even do this much?"
"That's so cool, mommy!"
"Why did you--"
"Make a promise with me, in exchange for fixing your vision."
"Promise me... that you'll protect my daughter."
"What was that, mommy?"
"Nothing, darling. So, is it a deal, reaper?"

I swear, I will murder you one day, you think.
You give Edgar a strained smile and he replies with a nervous laugh.
"Please welcome, Lady _____!" He finishes.
You grin, noticing the shock on the faces of Ciel and his butler.
Oh, that's good.
It means they got my photo.
You slowly walk up the stairs and onto the center of the main platform. You give the audience a warm smile before beginning, which they all "ooh" and "aah" at.
"Oh my gosh! You're so cute! Your dress and everything!" A blonde girl in the crowd interrupts you.
You chuckle and silently mouth out a thank you. Ciel tells her to "shh," cheeks red with embarrassment.

"I apologize deeply, young master, but the blade was covered in some type of poison. Even though the size of the cut is small, I must admit I have never felt so much pain in my life," the butler coughs.
"I haven't seen you like this since that encounter with the undertaker. The poison, the sharpness of those blades... just who is she?" The young earl ponders. "She can't be human, beating you up that badly."
"My senses are telling me she's human, though," Sebastian mutters, causing Ciel's eyes to widen. "Still, there's something off about her. The sensation is ultimately a human soul, but it's different from regular humans. I just can't figure out what."
"What is she, a human-animal hybrid like Snake?"
"No, no, that's completely irrelevant to our situation. I also can't sense anything from her at all. Say, if I was presented with a murderer, I would be able to sense death around him. However, I can

The wandering corpses walk out of the wall, lost and hungry. They turn their heads at Ciel.
Well, not so much lost anymore.
You turn over to Sebastian, and giggle slightly at his struggle to contain the undead monstrosity.
"Sebastian! Catch!" You yell to him, throwing him the butcher's knife in your hand.
He catches it and gives you a smile. "Thank you, My Lady."
You sigh at him. Honestly, being so formal at a time like this.
He then proceeds to carve at the monster mercilessly and messily, the blood of the corpses staining his face and suit.
Not so formal anymore.
Taking out the remainder of your throwing knives, you turn back to the corpses that threaten to rip Ciel into shreds and begin to stab them heartlessly.
But as if they have hearts anymore.
Still, more and more corpses continue to spill through the hole in the wall, and e

"No, thank you," you reply blankly.
The undertaker gives you a worried look. "Your appetite isn't very strong today. Is something wrong?"
"I just have a headache. Don't worry about it," you say, standing up and walking away.
I've been here forever.
And yet, it feels so strange.
Old but strong grey walls keep the almost-ancient, supposedly abandoned manor up. The simplicity of this mansion is absolutely boring, but it's subtle, and makes everything peaceful. You look walk around the house, keeping track of your steps, listening to the loud, crisp echoes they make.
You stop, and stare at a brown door, painted like all the others.
This was mother's bedroom.
You open the door and step inside, inhaling the scent.
You lie down on the bed and look at the plain white ceiling.
You blink and, for a moment, it seems to turn into a wild array of colors.
Shaking your head, you get up from the bed, walking

"My Lady insisted on it, so I couldn't object."
"Earl, please shut up and eat your food," you smile menacingly.
"You're under no right to talk to me like that--"
"I'm not?" You look at him with a glare. "I'm just like you, remember?"
"T-that's right. Continue," Ciel sighs.
Sebastian lifts the top off of the tray to reveal a glass of something and a pie.
"I have prepared an organic chilled blueberry soup and a sun dried tomato quiche for the main course. Do you prefer yogurt or cream cheese, my lord?"
"Cream cheese," Ciel replies boredly.
"I mixed local blueberries with imported ones from California to create a sweet and sour taste. You seem to favor that, my lord. For the quiche, I used quail eggs, which go wonderfully

Ciel sits up from bed, to see two figures, shadowed by the moonlight.
Ciel looks at the taller figure, Sebastian, who seems both dazed and shocked at the same time, looking at the shorter figure.

"Earl Phantomhive. I trust you have been well?" She asks smoothly.

"Please calm down, Earl," she requests quietly. "Yes, I am alive, and I'll explain everything soon. For now..." she looks at the spaced-out butler with a grin.
"Sebastian! What are you doing?! Hurry up and explain this!" Ciel demands.
Sebastian flinches and regains his straight composure, turning the half-demon's grin into a snicker. "Lady _____ is a half-demon, My Lord, daughter of a human and..." he walks up to Ciel and whispers a name in his ear. Ciel's eyes shoot open.

"What's the point of having a trial when I already know you're guilty? It's quite clear after my young Spider has spoken to me." Your eyes shot open as you listened carefully.
When you turned to Ciel, you saw him look down at the ground and shake with anger.
"If you insist, then present the witnesses!" Madame Red pointed once more towards you.
Your eyes were completely focused on the queen as she sat in her chair. Upon her head was a pointed black crown that had five decorative spears that pointed to the heavens above. There was a black choker around her neck with three red hearts that got smaller than the one before it. A pure r

The bell rang, signalling that school was finished. You quickly left the school, ignoring the gossips and whispers that were being said about you. As you arrived, outside of the school, you could see a bunch of girls (from your school) waiting outside the boys school.
You go to an all girls school and weirdly enough, there is an all boys school just opposite it, in fact right across the street. Normally at dances, you wouldn’t care about whether you were pretty or whether you would be able to dance with someone, but this time you have a reason to care, his name: Oh Sehun. You have never really talked to him, only once.

Cold rain bitterly pounded all around you, as the sky was illuminated by brilliant flashes of blue and violet. Adrenaline and some sort of twisted determination were the only things that kept you trudging on through it, hoping and praying as you desperately sought refuge from the storm. By now, you were completely soaked to the bone, coughing slightly into the torn sleeve of your dress.

It didn't help that you'd barely eaten anything for close to a month now, as you were lucky to simply find a few berries or a couple tiny scraps, you were just grateful for any little morsel of food you could get your hands on.

When you woke up, you were confused. Where were you? Why were you in this strange room? Then you remembered that this was the servant’s quarters of the Trancy Manor. You immediately got up, remembering that you were told to go to work the next day. As you sat up, you felt a restriction on your torso. Alarmed, you unbuttoned you dress to see what it was.
The restriction turned out to be bandages from the night before. You had completely forgotten about that, but now it all came back to you and you wondered once again at the strange butler’s behavior. You also wondered why you weren’t in extreme pain from the broken ribs.
You stood up and walked to the dresser in front of you bed. It had a medium length, grey-blue maid’s uniform with a cream-colored apron draped over it. You remembered Alois’s order for Claude to give you a dress that showed

You nervously waited in the main hall of the Trancy Manor. Your parents were indebted to the young Alois Trancy, but they couldn’t pay him anymore, so he took you as their final payment. That was two days ago; today you were told to come to the manor to work as a maid. Sadly, there was no getting out of this, because your father had legal right to you, thus making it completely legal for the earl to seize you. The only thing he let you bring was a small suitcase filled with the bare necessities.
You were completely alone at the moment, as the maid who had let you in had to go and alert the earl of your presence. Currently, you were trying to push out all of the chaotic thoughts going through your head by thinking of another subject. You settled on thinking of the bandages over the maid’s eye.
