It had been a year since Chihiro was freed from the world of spirits. She now lived at the country side of her blue home, not far off from the enterence of the old amusement park. She sat beside her sleepig mat on the floor, her brown eyes looking out the window of the clear sky. It was a calm morning. A few white birds flew from the trees as their new pet dog, a medium sized white dog that loved to chase things around, ran into a tree after a squirrel. How long has it been since she left that place? Since she left all her friends there at the bath house. She sighed and played with a rock on the window sil.
"Chihiro. Dinner's ready!" Her mother called down the hall. "Coming." She called back, walking barefoot out of her room. She fixed up her greenshirt with a white stripe, and her red shorts. She comed her hair and ut it in a ponytail and sat down in the dining room. There was food set on the table as she sat down on her little pillow. The food was a varaity of stuff: pork, vegetables
Don't Quite Fit AnymoreThe sunlight was a little blinding after the darkness in the tunnel and Chihiro shielded her eyes. The golden light was tinted green, probably due to the riot of plant that had taken over the weird little standing stone and the car. But something wasn’t quite right, the sudden growth of plants least of all. There was dust all over the car, a deep, deep layer of dust. And the standing stone, which had creeped out Chihiro when she first saw it, wasn’t quite the same. The little face on it, which had been very clear and delineated, was now all but obliterated. The stone was smooth where it wasn’t covered in a creeping ivy.Don't Quite Fit Anymore1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This
“What is this? Some kind of joke?” Chihiro’s father grumbled as he saw the car.
“We should get going,” Chihiro’s mother said, shaking her head at the car. “It feels like we’ve been in here for hours. Chihiro, honey, get in the car. Daddy will clear off the vines.”
With one last lingering look at the
Haku Returns chapter 1Haku Returns chapter 14 years ago in Romance More Like This
It's been six years since my adventure in the Spirit World, six years since I've seen him. When I was able to return to my world with my parents and before I ran to the tunnel where they were waiting for me, Haku did promise me that we will see each other again some day soon.
Having strong faith in him since that day, I've been waiting patiently for Haku to come into the human world and find me. Even at the times I become very impatient and had almost about given up on waiting for him, my memories of him and my strong feelings for Haku make me think twice because he could appear anytime, possibly when I least expect it one of these days.
Looking out my bedroom window, as I thought about Haku, I decide to go out for a walk. Leaving my room once my light was turned off and I closed the door behind me, my mom said from t

"Almost." Haku chimed as held my hand even tighter.
Somehow I'm kinda starting to regret this... well it's a lot better then seeing Hiroshi kun.
"Hey Haku, what is it exactly that you want to show me?" I asked as I looked up at Haku's face.
He frowned for a moment, then let out a relieved sigh.
"I want to show you my original home..." He said as he looked on with a serious expression.
"Your original home?"
"Yes, but it's more then that." He sighed.
More then that? What could he mean?
I looked to the horizon and saw the bright sun of the spirit world. It was a bright and fearful red. I began to feel uneasy.
"Chihiro?" Haku said as he let go of my hand.
I've spent almost an entire day in the spirit world, there really is no going back at this point.
"Chihiro what's wrong?" Haku said as grabbed my arm.
Haku's touch made me jolt back into reality. My hands were shaking and my eyes began to blur with tears.
"Chihiro?" Haku said as he le
Two Worlds One HeartThe rays of the setting sun filtered through the trees of a familiar forest as a young woman was walking on the dirt road. She kicked up little clouds of dust as she went which reflected in the sunlight. After walking for a time she saw the vague shape of a strange stone she had seen only twice before. She walked up to it pulling off the vines that had grown around the Idol. She softly caressed her fingers over the intricate carving. Two Worlds One Heart4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Tears welled in her eyes as she admired the beauty of the grove. But, this had been a mistake. She glanced at the tunnel behind the statue with a wistful sigh. She turned to leave when she heard the echoing of footsteps. She looked back and a figure slid out of the shadows and into the small patch of light that had entered the channel.
The light flashed once when it came into contact with beautiful strands of black hair. The pale skin she remembered was still as beautiful as it once was. At first she didn't believe it. So much had changed. But her hand fle

Chihiro couldn't decide. She didn't want to leave her world, but she didn't want Haku to have to adjust. Or she could just let him go. As soon as she thought of that, she was horrified at the thought of Haku leaving, never to return. But Chihiro soon realized that that might be the easiest option. Nothing would have to be sacrificed, except for seeing Haku. But there are other fish in the sea, Chihiro thought reluctantly. She looked up at Haku; he was looking back. Could he tell what she was thinking?
"Well?" Haku asked.
"I think," Chihiro had to pause before she could say it out loud. "I think that you should... you should go back to the spirit world. And I'll stay here."
Haku said nothing for a moment. "Is that really what you want?"
Chihiro nodded. She felt a tear roll down her cheek. "I- I think it's best. It would be the easiest thin

I remembered everything about Haku, his eyes, his hair, the way he smiled at me...everything. Yet, there was something that I could never remember about him, no matter how hard I tried to. The sound of his voice. It was lost to my memory forever.
The words he spoke to me before I departed the Spirit World hurt deep in my heart, carving a new wound everytime I thought about it.
He DID promise... He said we would see each other again, didn't he? He has to come back! He just has to!
Oh, who was I kidding? I knew it was impossible for him to return to our world. The Kohaku River no longer existed, how on Earth could he come back then?
"Chihiro!" my mother called from the foot of the stairs. "There is someone here to see you!"
I sighed. It was probably Yoko, the girl that followed me around like a puppy at school. She was my closest friend, but right now, I just desperatly wanted to be alo

Everyone, including the teacher, rushed to the windows and noticed the beautiful sight. Mika, Akane, and Kira smiled at each other then embraced each other.

"And a big heart." Akane added, her sister and friend agreeing, "Come on! School's out so let's go meet her at her house!"
With that, the three quickly ran out of the room and to the shoe lockers at the school's entrance, putting on their normal shoes and dashing towards the Ogino residence to see their friend.

Her eyes ventured back...but she didn't. She couldn't look back. Not yet.
But-- She would miss him.
As she got into the blue car it was filled with dust, leaves, and undergrowth. Her parents did not understand. It had been such a long period of time since they had been in their car. "Yes, must be. But what a heartless joke," her mother said. But Chihiro just took a deep breath through her nostrils, sighing. "What's wrong, Chihiro?" her father asked in his gruff voice. "Nothing," she replied. "You still can't get over moving?" asked her mother sweetly. "Of course not," she replied, still a bit dazed by the happenings. She gingerly touched the hair-band made by her friends. Granny, No-face....all of them. But especially Haku. "Haku..." she whispered, not audible for one of her parents to hear.
The car came to a halt in front of a blue house with nice white trim. "Isn't it lovely?" asked Chihiro's mother, Yuuko. "It's a fine home," said the father. "What do you th

She didn't realize it until she crossed into the human world and couldn't look back; she loved Haku. She loved a Spirit. Even though she was young, her feelings for Haku were there. She didn't know why or how it happened, but it did. She loved the impossible.
She hadn't told anyone about the Spirit World, her friends, or even Haku.

Haku's eyes slowly flickered open. When he realized where he was, he sat up quickly.
"Ugh." Haku groaned as a sharp pain went through his chest. He held it tightly until it slowly passed. Wearily he pulled the covers off of him and got out of bed. His bare feet barely hit the floor when Haku collapsed.
"Come on " Haku grabbed the bed and pulled himself up. He regained his balance and walked slowly across the hardwood floor and opened the door with the hand that wasn't holding his chest. As he walked, panting, across the hospital wing, the Nurse Spirits stared at him. His particular nurse came running up to him, "Master, you shouldn't be-"
"I don't care," Haku growled. His nurse backed away, bowed, and walked away.
Haku made it to the door and opened that one as well. He left it open and walked across the hall. The sharp pain hit his chest again a

After making them think she was going on a school camping field trip and casting spells on some school staff not call her home to ask why she wasn't attending school, she was ready to make her grand escape. Chihiro was picked up in the park, Kohaku in his dragon form. "I thought you had lost your dragon form.." she said. "I thought I did too. But that only signified that I was free," he smiled. Chihiro sat at small, cluttered desk in her one room apartment in downtown Tokyo. One hand braced her chin as she looked out of the window at the only view she had - a red brick wall across the alley. Her other hand held a wide, felt tipped pen, hovered over a sketch pad but never touched the paper. She'd been working on an illustration when her mind had drifted back to the subject of her art - the Spirit Realm and her time spent there. Kamaji was her current object of fascination. A roughly sketched portrait of him at the bellows marked the page in front of her.
What were her ethereal friends doing now? Was Lin still working at the bath house? She'd wanted so badly to leave and see the rest of the world. Had Bo grown up? He was such a large baby...he might have been meant to stay that way. Was No Face still with Granny? She certainly hoped so. He'd been so sweet and she knew no one at the bathhouse would allow him in. What about Kohaku? Surely Yubaba hadn't harmed h

Chihiro was watching the clouds. Again.
She really needed to knock it off. It was such a bad habit to just stare out into space in the middle of class. Especially since she had only been at this new school for about 3 months and her grades were not looking so good.

Hayao Miyazaki, what can you say about a visionary like him? Miyazaki's career has spanned nearly forty years and he never once has deviated from his principles in film making. Miyazaki has gone from directing several episodes of the classic anime series, Lupin III, to becoming a juggernaut in the box office with films such as Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. He was a man who did not become interested in drawing until he was almost out of high school, and became one of the most beloved animators around the world. Miyazaki has remained true to his beliefs such as environmentalism, mankind becoming too corrupt and destructive, and freedom of imagination. He has always kept CGI very limited in his films, keeping CGI to under ten percent of the entire film. Miyazaki has been called the Walt Disney of Japan numerous times, despite the fact he hates the nickname.

It had been little over six years since Chihiro had been spirited away, but it felt like a life time. She had changed, but only her parents had noticed. Chihiro had become more mature and grown up after that ordeal and it still puzzled her parents as to what made her change. They of course, remembered nothing about them being spirited away while Chihiro remembered it all. But it had been so long that it seemed like a distant dream. Chihiro would sit in her room for long periods of time sometimes, staring at a picture of the Kohaku River that was taken before it was filled in. She would stare and try to remember what it felt like to fly on Haku's back whilst he was a dragon, and to have the wind rush past her. At first her parents were a little concerned, but they said nothing and just let things be. After all, this Chihiro wouldn't wine about every little thing and she didn't seem so spoilt and loud.
Chihiro was well liked among peers at school-she was polite and humble and easy to tal

"When manipulating the weather you have to keep tight control on the flow of your magic. He and Markl were reclining on a blanket in the sunshine beside Star Lake, having their magic lesson outside.
Sophie was flitting in and out of the Castle with baskets of clothes, humming happily to herself. She had only been with them a few weeks, but already Markl didn't know how they had coped without her. It was certainly nice to have clean clothes all of the time.
"Because weather is a universal occurrence you have to keep your magic focused on a single area, preferably wherever you are at that moment," Howl continued. "Its far more difficult to try and change the weather on the other side of the country, and, let's face it, what would be the point?"
Markl frowned at Sophie, only half listening to his Master's
