Update : made a few changes to the dress, earth, and a few effects ..
My heart splenches of mourn as I imaging the miserable secluded and despicable existence that one specific type of girls must endure, the very amazingly beautiful and incredibly sweet type, whom their beauty delusions them into thinking they're (each one individually) one of a kind, the only person in the world who is this beautiful, and as days goes the illusions grow in their minds, until they're dominated by their fake image that's in their fake mirrors of their diseased brains, an image of a star in the high open skies, the queen of the universe, or maybe the goddess of all beings ..
the poor thing don't have a clue how lonely the stars in the sky must be feeling, separated by millions of light-years from each other, maybe if she looked around in her fantasy sky instead of looking down at people from such an imaginary height, she would realize how the universe is filled with maaaaaaaany other stars, would've understood that she's not one of a kind, not the queen of the universe nor did (or would) the world ever stop going just for her ..
would've known that she's just one attractive person with hundreds of millions like her around, and that she's not - in spite of what her sprinting hallucination my imagine -
.. Out oF Reach ..
Milady, if you are (or were) one of those girls, then this one is for you ....., may it be the wake up call you need to come back to reality, or the solitude you most definitely need if you're far beyond wake up ..

Nancy van den Boom sent me her painting [link] that i loved ever so much. So I decided to try a still life too. And my sister's kettle had so much character and told of so many tea parties and sang so beautifully when it boiled...
Wow. Can't believe I got a DD on this. A lot of people made a similar comment - that this looks like a photo at first. It's not - it was painted the good old fashioned way, with oils. The brightest parts have the least amount of paint - the highlights on the face have actually been wiped out, with hints of pure, translucent Raw Sienna showing through. Same thing for the top of the couch, and parts of the arms. Anyhow, thanks to everyone who took a bit of time to look at my painting. I appreciate all the comments a great deal!
One last thing - to all who were interested - this piece is titled after the Muse song of the same name.
