The End of the SWAT Kats: The Screenplay - Part 5SCENE 24
INT. FEAR SHIP - DARK HALLWAY
The SWAT Kats are in a darkened hallway underneath the antechamber floor. In the dim light provided by the hole above them, they find Stalker #5 - the Stalker T-Bone knocked down here earlier - lying sprawled on its back on the floor. T-Bone gently nudges it with his foot. It shifts and rolls over with a growl, but doesn't get up.
He breathes a sigh of relief as he flips on the triangular light on his helmet, illuminating the dark utility tunnel. There are lights affixed to the stone walls, but they're not turned on. Beside him, Razor tries to active his own helmet light, but it fizzles out due to the damage the helmet sustained. He frowns and removes it.
Okay, Sureshot, what's this big plan of yours?
Razor inspects the cracked helmet for a little longer before tossing it aside. With some effort, he also removes his crushed Glovatrix.
Crud, this thing's had it.
He throws it down angrily.
Relax. Mine's still workin'.
He flexes h
The End of the SWAT Kats 4"We've lost contact with Lieutenant Feral," Sergeant Brady said gravely. The End of the SWAT Kats 43 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Standing nearby, Chance and Jake exchanged worried glances which Feral caught ouf of the corner of one eye. If nothing else, for all their bluster, those two, much like himself, actually did care about the lives and well-being of others.
Feral slumped against the wall with one hand. A gigantic object of unknown origin was heading towards Megakat City. His niece and two others, sent to investigate what the Geological Society had thought was simply a volcano on the verge of eruption, had disappeared. Feral squeezed his eyes shut as he entertained the possibility that Felina might be dead.
It wasn't the first time. Feral had always assumed that as reckless as Felina was, he'd become desensitized to the constant dangers that often resulted in her apparent demise. It certainly would've fit with the sort of image the hulking Commander like to project.
But when it was your brother's only daughter... you never got desensi
The End of the SWAT Kats 3In the aftermath of the Creepling infiltration of Enforcer Headquarters, security was doubled throughout the entire building to root out any more possible infiltrators. Nothing had been found but still the security detail was kept tight. Jablonsky would live. So would Lyman, and despite himself, Chance was glad. He wished a lot of things upon Lyman but death wasn't one of them. The End of the SWAT Kats 33 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
An examination of the gear and weapons used by the three highly unusual Creeplings had yielded quite a bit of information. Despite some initial grousing from Commander Feral and District Attorney Mills, Callie, after placing a call to Mayor Manx, had ensured a temporary offputting of the impending trial so that Chance and Jake - Jake, mostly - could help examine the Creeplings' equipment.
Her argument was simple. Jake Clawson was a certified mechanical genius. His original aptitude test for Enforcer enrollment some years prior had been a testament to this. In fact, the only reason he hadn't gone on to become one
The End of the SWAT Kats 2In the Fear Ship's control room, Marlow boredly watched the power gauge slowly rise. In another couple of hours it would be fully charged and the Fear Ship would be ready to lead Dark Kat's conquest of Megakat City. Until then, though, Marlow was bored silly watching a control panel. He shooed away some of the Creeplings that were crawling all over everything. The End of the SWAT Kats 23 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Hearing footsteps he turned as Zeckis ran up looking excited.
"Marlow!" he cried. "Turn on the main screen! Channel fourteen!"
"Why?" grumbled Marlow.
"Just do it!" said Zeckis.
"Don't order me around!" snarled Marlow, but turned on the main viewscreen.
That reporter she-kat with the weirdo hairdo appeared, standing outside of Enforcer Headquarters. Whatever was happening it was big. A parade of some sort? There were Enforcer officers keeping back crowds of cats in various states of emotion. Some excited, some angry. Some were crying. Mostly she-kats but a few men as well.
"This is Ann Gora, Kat's Eye News, with a late-breaking s
The End of the SWAT Kats 1The gigantic cloud, perhaps a mile in width, was hovering low over Mt. Anakata as the three helicopters dispatched from the mainland flew towards it. The lead helicopter was a Megakat Geological Society chopper equipped with high-tech sensor equipment, and it was flanked by twin Enforcer choppers. The End of the SWAT Kats 13 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Much to Mayor Manx's consternation, the island had been cleared of civilians and park employees on the orders of Commander Feral for safety reasons. Megakat City's finest geologist, Dr. Anna Ignimbrite, wasn't sure if the cloud meant Mt. Anakata was going to erupt, but she was determined to find out.
"This cloud is very strange," Ignimbrite into her headseat mic. "It doesn't even look volcanic."
"It's trouble if you ask me!" opined one of the Enforcer pilots over the radio.
"Well, we won't know until we have a closer look, let's go in and do a flyover," Ignimbrite said. To her pilot, she said, "Stay high above the crater. The thermal imaging scope should do the rest."
"Right," said the pilot.
The End of the SWAT Kats 7At the top of the elevator shaft, T-Bone used his Glovatrix's built-in acetylene torch to cut through the closed doors, and then, assisted by Razor, the two of them managed to pry open the doors, grunting and straining. However the doors wouldn't stay opened. Grumbling, T-Bone lay somewhat on his side, using his own body to prop them open, right shoulder against one door and left foot to the other. The End of the SWAT Kats 72 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Okay, buddy, climb on up," he said, offering Razor a hand.
Razor clambered over his partner as quickly and as gently as he could, and then turned to assist T-Bone since there was no longer any need for the bigger vigilante to keep holding the door open. As he did so, though, they noticed the loosely dangling elevator cable starting to wiggle, and, looking down, saw three Stalkers beginning to climb up. Far below, they could see lava starting to seep through the door of the level they'd originally come from, pouring down to the bottom of the shaft and covering and melting the crumpled elevat
The End of the SWAT Kats 6Racing back through the antechamber, Razor was beginning to regret having charged in to confront Dark Kat directly. In his eagerness he had, once again, underestimated their most dangerous enemy. Well, one of them. In hindsight, he half-jokingly thought that retirement from being a SWAT Kat wouldn't be such a bad thing. It would certainly mean having to deal with considerably less monsters and villains. On the downside, it meant jail time. But it wasn't like they had a choice. Besides, he reasoned, now wasn't the time for decision-making. Now was the time for action. The End of the SWAT Kats 62 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Action they were getting. In fact, they got it as soon as they reentered the antechamber. Those two huge statues suddenly came alive. Their stone heads tilted up, eyes aglow with purple fire. Razor noticed out of the corner of his eye and was able to alert T-Bone before lasers fired at them. The two nimble vigilantes dodged as the lasers struck the floor, creating a huge hole. T-Bone rolled to one side, righted himself, an
The End of the SWAT Kats 5The two dropped down into a darkened hallway of some sort with a grilled floor and metallic walls. T-Bone landed first on both feet with a dull thud and Razor behind him with a softer sound. The duo poised for a moment to take in their surroundings before advancing slowly, T-Bone in the lead, their Glovatrixes raised. Ahead, they could see faint light. Around the corner to the right was more darkness, but to the left they could see the source of the illumination was coming from an adjacent room where the lights were actually on. The door was slightly ajar. The End of the SWAT Kats 52 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"I don't like this," whispered Razor.
"What's to like?" said T-Bone as the two headed towards the door.
Opening it, he found a brightly-lit stairwell with numbers on the walls apparently indicating what floor they were on. The twenty-seventh. The stairs led down. There was a ladder to one side leading to a hatchway, but that seemingly just went back to the roof, where they'd just come from. Nowhere to go but down. Turning and nodding

Chapter 7: Echoes of the Past
Elena woke up slowly. She looked at the window, at the light coming through it. It was late afternoon. Sitting up, she groaned and placed her hands to her head. She had a massive headache. Yet she could also remember what had happened. What she'd done. It didn't seem real though. More like a dream. But it wasn't a dream. She had really changed, really attacked her friends. She had really tried to kill them....
When the throbbing in her head subsided a little, she looked around more closely. She was in the bedroom, alone. And somehow she was wearing one of Chance's shirts. That part she didn't remember. But then, her own clothing had been shredded off of her when she had changed, so that did make a little sense.
Carefully, she got up and got dressed. What day was it? She couldn't remember. It should have been Sunday. That would have meant that the salvage yard and garage were both closed. It would also be why she didn't hear anything downstairs. But where w

Chapter 8: Battle of Magics
The massive wave of water surged through Megakat City. A heavy fog began to fill the air. Huge trees and ferns grew up, smashing their way through the buildings, and anything else in their path. T-Bone and Razor looked down at the scene below them.
Elena was a bit confused as she looked at the images on her screen. "Again? This has happened before?"
Razor's the one who answered. "Well, yes and no. Not with the Pastmaster. But Dr. Viper tried to turn Megakat City into his own personal 'Megaswamp City' at one point a couple years ago."
Chance growled under his breath. "Yeah, not a pleasant experience." One thing was for sure, he was not going to let himself get bitten by any more of Viper's creations. Not after what happened to him the last time.
"Well, how did you stop it last time?"
Chance kept quiet as he continued to fly towards the source of the disaster. A swirling vortex could be seen in the distance ahead. Again it was Razor
