TF: Old Soldier FIRST DRAFT Contest EntryTitle: Transformers: Old Soldier FIRST DRAFT Contest Entry
Universe: G1 (Pre-Earth)
Warnings: Violence, Non-canon character death
Author's Note: This is my (mostly) unedited first draft. The contest specified minimal editing, which was extremely difficult for me. While I don't think this is bad, it's not as refined as I'd normally post. In fact, there are two details which need work/editing. Hopefully, they're not as obvious to others as they are to me (since I'm super critical of my own work).
Smoke hung heavy over Praxus, obscuring optics and clogging vents. Here, the once proud city-state stood cracked and charred, covered in ash. The glorious crystals of the Helix Gardens, the pinnacle of Cybertronian art and beauty, lay shattered. Many of the civilians were gone, long since fled or dead. Those that remained had abandoned their civilian ways, forced into more militaristic roles.
Raising above the surrounding ruins, th

Author's Note: Frenzy and Rumble decide to partake in a holiday tradition as only they can. This is a humorous one-shot that is completely standalone from my other stories. It does make a small reference to the third chapter in my All for One series (The Boring One), but that one doesn't need to be read to understand this.
"Hey there, Blue. How's it going?"
Thundercracker pulled up short as Frenzy and Rumble greeted him, both grinning widely, arms clasped behind their backs. He contemplated fleeing back over the ocean as the two stepped to either side of the lift and gestured him on board. Either of them smiling meant trouble. Both, together and smiling, was catastrophic. Had the primitive humans known of those two, they'd have added their antics to the signs of a coming apocalypse. Undeterred by his hesitation, they stepped forward onto the Nemesis' landing pad and grabbed his elbows, one

"Oh, Primus, what's he doing?" Thundercracker winced.
"It's Skywarp. You don't want to know." Starscream did not bother to look up from the data card he held. "Just ignore him."
Thundercracker glanced at his trine leader. The other Seeker was right. Life was easier when he ignored Skywarp. But despite this sound advice, he couldn't keep his gaze away from the purple and black mech.
The three of them, and a few other Decepticons, were in the mess hall. Most of the first shift mechs had already finished their rations and left. A few, like Ravage, had arrived late and just now started sipping their energon. Thundercracker had finished his own fuel a while ago, but felt co

“I swear I will kill Rumble,” Starscream said, mouth twisted into a fierce grimace.
Dust filled the room, blinding his optics and clogging his vents. He forced several quick bursts of air through them. Perhaps he could clear the overworked mechanisms. It didn’t work. As soon as he hacked some out, more dust flowed in. Now he resembled some sort of pathetic organic thing, clearing its respiratory organs. He cursed quietly. At least his vocals weren’t tied intrinsically to his vents, like some fleshling.
Warnings on his HUD display pinged as his internal temperature slowly started climbing and his vents failed to compensate. Nothing serious. Yet. He planned to be long gone before the dust and heat buildup caused any permanen
Santa's Last Sack (Transformers: Dark of the Moon)He pushed the folder across the table gingerly. An immature—humans would say childish—part of him wanted to push it harder, but even the gentlest of frustrated gestures from him might tear the fragile human paperwork. The folder was smaller than Optimus’ fingertip, and he wouldn’t have been surprised if the woman across from him still needed it for something.Santa's Last Sack (Transformers: Dark of the Moon)1 year ago in Drama More Like This
“I am flattered by the faith you show in our abilities,” he said, taking a brief pause to let the comment sink in, “But even we Autobots are incapable of the feat you have requested. No one of us can traverse the entire planet in one night… and even if we could, how would we gain entry to all of these homes and deploy the packages given our sizes and the accompanying problems therewith?”
“I was hoping maybe one of your scientists had some luck with the space bridges,” Mearing droned, glaring over her reading glasses.
“Why, because yours have had no such luck?
Whoops...Ironhide and Sideswipe are on the Panama City beach fighting ten Decepticons. Optimus sent them on a mission to search for any Decepticons on the beach, but the evil Cybertronians turned the tables on them with an ambush. Now they have to come up with a good plan. The two Autobots have their backs on each other as the Decepticons surround them, weapons ready to fire.Whoops...3 years ago in Humor More Like This
"Hey, 'Hide. Got any ideas yet?" Sideswipe asks, not taking his optics off the Decepticons in front of him. The bigger mech does the same, but answers.
"Yeah. Transform to vehicle mode then spin your tires."
"I am not messing up my paint, Ironhide!"
"Do you want to go offline or do you want to live?!"
Sideswipe groans then remembers something. A part of his arm reveals a hole. He puts his right arm behind him then a ball comes out of the hole, rolls down his arm, and stops when its in the palm of his hand. The Autobot puts his arm to the front of him, lifts it up high then he slams the ball down to the sand. It bursts open

The very loud noises and sounds of hurt had stopped a long time ago, but he didn't move. Prix and Dax had placed him beneath their shared recharge berth and told him to stay put until one of them came back for him, and he didn't intend to move until either his bearer or code writer told him that it was safe. He could see Prix from where he was, but she was lying very still and she looked like she was sick why else would she be so dull a grey when she was normally a vivid red much like his own?
He gave a faint, nervous chirp and huddled further under the blankets covering him. Maybe Dax had gone to get a medic for Prix and would call him out once he returned.
"So why d'we gotta do a final sweep again?"
The dark blue seeker glanced over to see that his wing

"Blackout, what have you done?" Starscream challenged the other mech over a private comm. Moments earlier the helicopter-disguised Decepticon had informed his fellows, over an open channel, that he was engaging a human military installation.
"I'm getting answers. These organics know something of both Megatron's location and that of the Allspark. I'm tired of waiting for you. It's time to act!" Blackout declared, still over the open frequency.
"You fool," Starscream sneered. Realizing the rash mech would not keep this confrontation private, he switched to the open channel as well. If the other Decepticon wanted a confrontation, very well. "You will ruin everything that we've worked toward."
"That's what you'd have us believe. But what have we 'worked toward?' We have hidden ourselves among these creatures
