Spike: "Yeah. (hesitating) Why are we here again? What did Princess Cadance say?"
Twilight: "It wasn't clear. The letter was short. She needed us urgently back in the Crystal Empire for something. I guess we'll find out when we meet her."

Friendship Is Weird Chp. 1
By: DolphinBuster starring: Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and others
Ponyville was a small village located somewhere in the glorious and magical land of Equestria. Amongst the random clusters of ponies roaming the usually normal and calm village, lived six friends. But amongst those six friends was Twilight Sparkle stood over her studies in Ponyville Library. Studying was a fond habit that the unicorn always enjoyed experiencing in her spare time, which for some reason; she had awful lot of. Which was quite sad. Twilight could be quite angst at times, and occasionally she’d get a huge mood swap and would be lively, energetic,

“Why does time move so slow during these things?” Twilight thought to herself as she waited in a grand hall. “And what could be so important that I had to be called back to Canterlot?” The sound of her pacing echoed off the white walls surrounding her. Eventually Twilight sat down, legs tired from the wait. Just as, she heard the sound of a closing door fallowed by the tapping of high heels walking through the room.
“Twilight! It’s so good to see you again.” Princess Cadence said as she grabbed on to both of Twilights hands. Twilight rose to her feet.
“Princess Cadence!” They both giggled and sang,
“Sunshine, sunshine. Lady bugs awake. Clap your hands and do

Twenty-six days since the coronation of Princess Twilight Sparkle.
“Sorry, Applejack!” the sleepy princess gasped as her once drooping eyelids snapped open.
“Much better,” Twilight giggled. “So you’re absolutely sure that you have enough cider left over for the gala?”
“Positive, we stored a few extra last year. Normally we finish off the last barrel the week before Winter Wrap-Up, but we weren’t able to polish off all of it this year. We’ve still got a few sittin in the cellar, ‘n’ it’s a might bit warmer down there now than it’s supposed to be when yer storing cider,” Applejack chuckled. “Honestly, I would’ve dumped them out, but the thought of servin’ it to some unexpectin’ nobles is too funny. Teamwork is Magic: Chapter 1"You did what!?" The purple unicorn fumed, staring at Rainbow Dash angrily. Dash recoiled slightly, never seeing Twilight Sparkle this angry before.Teamwork is Magic: Chapter 14 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"Well, I mean Trixie is back, and you're the only one in Ponyville strong enough to duel her with magic, and I..." She trailed off. Twilight let out an exasperated sigh.
"You can't just speak for me! I don't want to fight Trixie!"
"Twi, last time you showed Trixie up by a mile and a half! I'd bet you could do it again!"
"That was six months ago! She's probably gotten much stronger since then!"
"Well, so have you, silly!" Pinkie rose out of a bowl of apples sitting on a nearby table
Twilight's anger subsided slightly as she pondered how long Pinkie had been there. Pinkie just stood beside her, munching an apple. "C'mon, Twilight, it'll be fun!" She said, mouth full.
"Yeah Twi, we've got till sunset to prepare!" Dash chimed
Her brow furrowed, knowing that she really had no way out. If she declined, it would seem as if she was backing out. If

Princess Luna stared at the newly married couple who were dancing in the middle of the dance floor, surrounded by other couples swaying to the music. Luna had never felt happier, as this was her first wedding in over a thousand years. For a moment, she felt a pang of guilt, that she might have missed many weddings like this.
But then again, last time she had attended any royal weddings, they weren't this lively. Well, last time they didn't have Pinkie Pie. Last time, she was also a bit uptight. And a bit more tempered. But that was in the past. She felt quite proud that this party was being held, right under her night sky. It gave her the hope that she needed. The hope that everypony actually enjoyed her night!

It was the middle of the winter in Ponyville. Almost everypony was in their houses, making sure that they weren't going freeze with the cold outdoors. However, right at the Sweet Apple Acres, the Apple family was on the edge of the Everfree Forest. They were trying to collect as much lumber as possible, making sure that everypony had something to warm their houses for the coldest winter days.
“Thanks a lot for yer help Twilight.” Applejack said as she, Big Mac and Caramel were pulling a rather large load of freshly-cut trees. “Ah don't think we might 'ave got this many trees if it weren't yer fancy magics,” Applejack thanked her now-blushing unicorn friend, eying the load they had.
They had so much that even three earth ponies couldn’t pull it together, but thanks to Twilight's spell, the load was as light as a feather and also had helped them a bit on piling the wood. “Ah can't believe how the hay we've been able t

After the Princess left, Twilight was determined to get to studying. She wasn't too clear on how she was going to go about retrieving her books - maybe another teleport was in order. Twilight was just getting ready when a knock on the door interrupted her concentration. She groaned, knowing she had to answer it before Luna was disturbed.
"Wha- Oh, Spike!" Twilight was surprised to find her assistant crossly tapping his foot outside the door. He came in without her invitation.
"Where were you, Twi?" he asked, clearly indignant. "You were gone for hours! Do you know how hard it is to keep a straight face when you're lying to the Princess of Equestria?"
"One of." Twilight corrected. "And sadly, yes. I'm sorry Spike." gears turned in her head. She couldn't have spent more than an hour and a half searching for books, probably less. Yet Spike was right - it was already well into the afternoon, several hours having passed from when she began her venture. Twilight wondered just what

The loud cheers of spectators and the blare of the announcers were muffled while Bismarck took a deep breath and exhaled. Climbing into the bucking chute and onto the back of the enormous bull, Bismarck’s hoof tightly gripped the flat braided rope that would be his only way of clinging onto his dear life. All his life he had prepared for moments like this one. Underneath him, he could feel the rumbling of the bull’s laughter as they awaited their launch.
“So,” it said with menacing resonation, “the greenhorn thinks he’s somethin’, don’t he? You won’t make it four seconds! Ah guarantee it!”
Bismarck’s heart sped as he spoke. Though he had done this before, they both knew that there was a reason bull riding was known as the most dangerous eight seconds in sports. Making it even half that time required skill and training, but even that would not guarantee him from bod

Rubble and broken glass were scattered everywhere on the floor. The front entrance to Canterlot High had now become a wide hole blasted into existence. And there was also a crater in the middle of the courtyard, right next to the statue of a horse.
Sunset Shimmer didn't know where to start cleaning up this mess. She had settled on cleaning up the fragments of glass, pushing them off to the side with the small spade she was given. The fact that it was close to midnight, and her recent experience as a demonic-being, had exhausted Sunset so much. But she knew that after 30 moons of being a jerk, she no doubt deserved it.
Her two ex-henchmen, Snips and Snails, were at the far end of the main hall, avoiding eye contact as they loaded pieces of a bulletin board into a recycling bin. Before all this, Sunset had felt superior to those two boys. Now Sunset knew that they blamed her for everything that happened.

Luna was holding up well on the walk to the library, though Twilight could read the strain on her face. She didn't really know how to behave. what was expected of her? What should she do? Should she treat Luna like a fillyfriend? That didn't even answer any questions, given that Twilight had the dating experience of a particularly socially inept rock.
"Twilight? What's going through your mind?" Luna asked. Twilight realized she had been staring.
"Ah, uh...I'm sorry. I'm just nervous. I don't know what to do, I mean, about...us?" the term seemed so foreign, so odd to apply. Luna both blushed and smiled, equal parts embarrassed and elated. At least Twilight knew she wasn't alone.
"You needn't worry. All you've done, and still you want to do more." she leaned over as they walked and nuzzled the side of Twilight's neck, playing with her mane. Twilight nickered, ticklish.
"There is generosity, but there is sacrifice. For my sake, please, do not go too far."

It was around 10:00 PM at "Pony Joe's Café." An apple-shaped carriage was parked outside with two male ponies chatting amongst one another. Inside the café, the lights were still on and the open sign was flashing. As expected, there were very few customers. The Grand Galloping Gala was being held not too far away in the royal palace, where everyone else was. However, inside Pony Joe's, laughter could be heard. It seemed the customers that did decide to come there were company enough.
Twilight Sparkle and her friends had all just gotten back from the Grand Galloping Gala which did not go as planned for any of them at all. Their dresses were torn up a bit and their hair was messy. Some of them had even lost some footwear from running out of the Gala so fast. Twilight had told everyone earlier that Pony Joe's would be the best place to settle down at. She also knew that

"Twilight, you look so worried." Celestia said, eyes on Twilight. The young magician swallowed, trying to keep a straight face. Celestia's eyes narrowed.
"Tell me what troubles you, my little pony."
The words lurched from Twilight's mouth. "We found Luna's diary!" her eyes widened.
"Sister." Celestia called. "Come out now. It's time to let in the light." Twilight looked over her shoulder. She noticed a flash of green light under the door. It creaked open.
"Luna, no!" Twilight told her.
"I must, Twilight. We shall stand strong together." Luna stepped out of the door.
Meanwhile, in the Ponyville Library, a piece of paper came from nowhere and floated gingerly down onto the face of a pegasus sleeping on the library floor. The pegasus, still asleep, tried to blow the paper off of her.
Shall you now?" Celestia asked. She turned to Twilight. "It's time to sleep, my little pony."

Thing was, she couldn't look up.
Fluttershy had earned herself half a double chin. Her cheeks were chubbier than before.
Her hooves were hurting. She shifted her eyes to them.
They looked doughy and soft.
Then she looked at the yellow blob in front of her. To think that was her stomach! It stuck out like a huge yellow rock.
Though she couldn't see them, her thighs were sticking out, too. They had taken a huge hit.
They were huge. There were even stretch marks on her cutie mark.
And mentioning her cutie mark? That stretched across the huge plot.
But, Fluttershy wondered, where is Pinkie Pie?
As if Pinkie could have been reading Fluttershy's mind, Pinkie popped up from beside her. "Heeeyy Fluttersss!" she said, as if she had been asleep too.
She hopped to the lever on the huge transparent thing, which was 2/3 full, and the hose zipped away from Fluttershy's mo

Outside, clouds began to gather in concentric circles high above Canterlot. The dark masses blew and twisted angrily in the sky, and it was obvious that quite a storm was on its way. Usually, the Canterlot towers were tall enough to breach the top layer of clouds, leaving them unaffected by weather. However, on this warm and muggy day the cold air was pushed higher in the sky, leaving the cloud line at a much higher altitude.
Unfazed, Twilight Sparkle took a deep breath of the dampened air. While other ponies hid inside their homes during a storm, Twilight was fascinated by the natural phenomena. For something of such magnitude to happen in nature without magic, it was truly remarkable.
The purple pony stood on her hind legs with her front hooves on the railing of Luna's balcony. A warm breeze ruffled through her mane as she looked down over the city below. From the tower, she had a decent view of the courtyard and some of t

Time moved painfully slow in Ponyville. The more Twilight thought about it, the more irritated she became. Eventually, she magically imploded the only clock in her library house for she no longer wished to be reminded of time. The incessant ticking, tick after tock, just reminded her how long she had been separated from Luna. She knew it was just an unnecessary stress, so she took care of it.
In roughly two days' time, Twilight had gone from quasi-competent Aura Bloom competitor to anti-social hermit, bent on sheltering in her house as if sunlight would make her transparent. Her friends knew she was emotionally distressed, but they were still clueless as to why. They all believed that she was still upset about her failure in the Aura Bloom; there was hardly any suspicion that she was aching on a much more profound level.
After running away from Luna, she spent little time in Canterlot. Her things had alread

A voice in Twilight's head had been telling her to just lay down beside her, keep her warm....Twilight had never been smitten before, and surprised herself constantly with the thoughts that ran through her head. But she turned it all into fuel for her study. To figure out what was making Luna sick. Something told her to keep going through the diary. At some point, she had decided, she was going to have to introduce Luna and Rarity to each other for real, given the Princess's professed love of gems (how would the night sky look in rubies, not diamonds, she asked her diary at one point) and pretty things in general. It was also uncanny at times reading about Luna trying to study or practice magic (studying being much more hands on when you were inventing liter

Celestia's sun shone brilliantly over the utopian city of Canterlot. A pair of blue jays chirped as one chased the other across the courtyard of royal palace, landing in a nearby tree. The springtime air brought with it the warmth and sunlight that all the vibrant flowers reveled in. A couple gardener ponies were seen planting new flowers along the walkway. A platoon of royal guards was marching down the walkway, their shift ending. The new shift of guards had already taken their place in their respective positions evenly amongst the courtyard.
Inside, Princess Celestia was busy running her queendom. Several ponies were lined up outside, eager to get inside to talk to the great Mare of the Sun. Most of them brought status reports of the several necessities required to keep a city so large running smoothly.

The political views expressed by Twilight Sparkle in this chapter were chosen based on her personality and actions throughout Seasons 1 & 2. Said philosophies are independent of the views of the author and how certain views may or may not match his own in some respects is mere coincidence. In essence, this chapter is not a political statement, it is Twilight being Twilight.
Twenty-four hours after the coronation of Princess Twilight Sparkle
Twilight sighed as she felt the last of the tension that had been building between her wings release. Writing to her friends had been oddly therapeutic; it was almost like she was writing to Celestia again. While her mind was still preoccupied with thoughts of Spike’s words, she knew that he was in good hooves, and putting her feelings into writing put her almost at ease. She slurped a bit of soup from a gem-encrusted spoon and put the finishing touches on her fifth, and final, letter with the loopy calligraphy of her sign

Why did I act like that?
Twilight couldn't help but feel terrible about last night. She shouldn't have treated Luna like she was Nightmare Moon; it was rude and totally out of line. She made it a personal mission to find Luna and ask for forgiveness. She had spent a few hours last night trying to find where the princess ran off to. After failing to locate her, Twilight remorsefully sulked back to her room. She spent a few minutes pacing across the room, going over their short conversation in her head.
Why am I so bothered by this? She asked herself. Sure, she was a little harsh, but it wasn't completely out of hand.
Twilight wasn't able to sleep very much. Whenever she closed her eyes, a pair of foggy silver eyes pierced the veil of her mind like a thorn. She tried thinking about other subjects, but those eyes would always come back before she even knew she was thinking about them. The more she analyzed the mar

That night had been dreamless for Twilight, almost mercifully so. It had allowed her a peaceful, uninterrupted rest. This morning, however, wasn't about to give her the same courtesy.
"Grmph... Who are you and what do you waaa- What in the name of-" Twilight unleashed an uncharacteristic string of obscenities as the unknown name-caller ripped open a pair of drapes, flooding the room with bright sunlight.
"Princess Luna may have ordered me to let you sleep in, but enough is enough, Lady Sparkle. You missed breakfast, you're late for your next appointment, and the Princess even raised the sun for you today!"
Twilight rolled over to glare at the clock on the wall; it was barely 9. This mare was beginning to get on her last nerve. "Fifteen hours ago I was in the hospital."
