Just letting you knowEDIT: I added a two new plots!
Here's the line-up for the one-shots you guys voted on.
1. Don't wake me:
Dave keeps having these dreams about a girl he's never met. He falls in love with her, even though she isn't real. That is, until he bumps into someone in the mall who looks exactly like his dream girl. (This one only got one vote but it goes first because my IDOL for Homestuck writing wanted it and I really want to get this one up for her first. Sorry! <3)
2. All the right friends in all the right places: (FINISHED)
Dave has all of his friends guide you to the park where he awaits you with his confession of love.
3. I just haven't met you yet:
John falls for the shy girl in class, but has never even talked to her. So he communicates through random notes he leaves on her folders, causing her to laugh and smile. He watches as she opens up, becoming more involved in the class.
4. Look for the girl with the broken smile:
You go through life wit
A simple cup of coffee[DavexReader]A simple cup of coffee2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
It’s hard to think that this all started with a simple cup of coffee.
[You were in college working part time waiting tables
Left a small town, never looked back]
You entered the coffee shop, breathing in the deep smell of roasted coffee and cinnamon buns. You sat down at a table near the back, waiting for your server.
He appeared a few moments later, a brown apron tied around his waist. His hair was so blonde it was almost white and he hid his eyes behind a pair of shades. He wasn’t that all that bad looking.
Tapping his pen against the clipboard in his hands, he asked briskly, “So, what do you want?
Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you ordered your favourite drink. When he came back he was carrying two coffees and a plate of cookies. He set them down and sat down across from you.
“I hope you don’t mind. It’s my break and I’d hate for a beautiful girl like you to sit alone.”
You blushed, which you hid by brin

You crossed your arms stubbornly as you tried to give the troll your best pouting face. Eridan would have been proud of it.
“Wh-why do you want a piggy-back ride, [Name]?” Tavros shuffled his robotic legs as a blush crept onto his grey cheeks.
“Because I haven’t had one in a while. And no one else wants to hang out with me.” You blinked sadly at him, turning on your puppy dog eyes.
Tavros tried to look away, tried not to give in to your pleading, but failed. Sighing deeply, he replied. “Al-alright, [Name].”
He hoisted you up onto his back, wrapping your legs around his waist. For a moment you almost fell off, but you saved yourself by grabbing on tightly to your friends horns.
A muffled yelp came from Tavros as his blush reached his ears. “[N-name], what a-are you doing?”
“I was getting a better grip. You okay Tavbro?”
“Mmm, y-yeah. I-I’m fine. But, uh, c-could

The sound of something crinkling underneath you arm is what woke you up. You groaned as you shifted in your bed, opening your eyes a crack to see what it was. There, nestled between your sheets, was a blank red envelope, slightly wrinkled. You rubbed your eyes as you reached over, clumsily ripping the paper. You pulled out a note with seven neatly printed words that looked somewhat like instructions.
Get dressed and head to the kitchen
You mumbled something about roommates as you threw on a pair of jeans (which you placed the envelope in) and a t-shirt as you hopped down the stairs to meet the person whom you shared a house with. She was humming softly as she tidied up the kitchen, moving swiftly while keeping an eye on something on the stove. When she noticed you, she gave a small knowing grin before giving you a hug.
“Good morning, [Name]. How did you sleep?”
You hugged back, replying, “I slept fine, Aradia.” You stepped back, pulling the

Thunder crashed as torrents of rain fell from the skies. You were huddled up under your covers, your hands strangling a poor [fave colour] smuppet as you hid your face in your sheets. Loud noises had always been one of your biggest fears, but you usually got over it because your younger sister would come in and comfort you. Unfortunately your entire family was on a trip for your sister’s birthday, leaving you home because it was a special occasion for your sweet sister.
You almost didn’t hear your cell phone ring as another roll of thunder shook your house. Trembling, you reach for the device and press the ‘talk’ button.
“W-what do y-you w-want?” Your voice quivered as you gave your smuppet another squeeze.
“Yo, [Name], you okay? You sound like your wiggin’ out.”
It was Dave. Dave Strider was a close friend of yours and he loved to call you at random times in the day to see what you were doing.

Everything was pitch black. Your body was unable to move and you felt something sticky coat your entire forehead. You remembered laughing with Nepeta on her fishing boat then… nothing. The ground underneath you was hard and gritty, causing your body to ache.
You don’t know how long you lay there, the hot sun beating down on your skin. You could partially hear the ocean but other sounds just echoed in your ears. Then you heard a soft sound like a drum near your head, and then it stopped. You would’ve screamed if you could as soon as you felt something brush your forehead. You tried to open your eyes, but couldn’t.
Mumbling was heard, but you were too scared to make it out. You sensed something that felt like fingers prod your skin, then heard the mumbling again. It almost sounded like words, but you couldn’t pick out what the thing was saying. You tried to answer, but only succeeded in moaning.
You then felt your body being lifted in a p
[Kanaya] Why hello thereYou crouched behind bush you were currently situated behind. You were currently stalking a certain fashion troll and were determined to stay hidden until the perfect moment.[Kanaya] Why hello there2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Kanaya, the aforementioned troll, sat down on the park bench, pulling out a sketch book as she scanned the array of humans strolling along the sidewalks.
She scribbled down the best bits of the outfits that caught her eyes, eager to mix them together to make the best ensemble for a certain friend of hers.
You crept up behind Kanaya, eyeing the drawings in her lap. When she paused for a moment, your hand reached up immediately and poked her horn.
She whipped around, her cheeks tinged green as the corners of her black lips twitched to keep from laughing from the touch on her horns. Her hair had lost its neat look from the force of which she had turned around. You fell backwards into a fit of giggles, rolling around in the soft grass.
“[Name], what a surprise to see you here. May I inquire as to what you think y
[Nepeta] That's not what I thought would happenYou pounced on your friend as you both rolled down the hill, landing in a jumbled mess of limbs. Both of you giggled as you attempted to untangle yourselves from each other.[Nepeta] That's not what I thought would happen2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Eventually you found yourself on top of Nepeta, pinning her down with your hands on either side of her face. Her adorably flushed green face grinned back at you, her fangs poking out making her the cutest thing you have ever seen.
You flopped over to lay next to your friend, wrapping an arm around her thin waist to pull her closer. Nepeta’s hat had fallen off during your little tumble, exposing her horns completely. They looked like candy corn, nestled in a sea of black licorice.
So you reached over and licked one.
“[Name]!” Nepeta giggled. “What was that fur?”
“They look like candy, so I thought I’d taste them. But they don’t taste like anything.” You huffed as you lay back down.
“Well of course they don’t, silly. They’re just horns!”

School sucked. No seriously, it was awful.
This is why you were in a great mood, for it was the last day of this torture. Your best friends were laughing and screwing around as the teacher played National Treasure on her laptop for the class. Well, you guess you’d miss Mrs. Cox’s class because she was the best science teacher ever. She always let you guys watch a movie whenever the class was ahead in the lessons.
Dave Strider, a.k.a. the coolest kid in school, tossed a piece of crumpled paper in your direction. “So what are you doing over the summer?”
You shrugged. “I guess I’ll spend it inside, on my computer playing Sims or something.”
“Laaaame. You need to do something that doesn’t involve being cooped up all summer.”
You playfully shoved him, earning you a smirk. “What are you gonna do, Rose?”
The elegant blonde looked up from her book. “Oh. I haven’t really thought about it. I
[Aradia] The sweetest soundThe sun had just set and the stars were beginning to show, so different and brighter than the ones at home. You snuggled closer to your friend as a chill set in the air.[Aradia] The sweetest sound2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Aradia did not respond to your proximity, her eyes staring blankly ahead. She didn’t show much emotion anymore, a truth that saddened you deeply. You missed hearing her laugh at you when you complained sarcastically about the little things that bugged you.
You slowly reached your arm out to place it around her neck, only to brush your fingers along the ridges of her horns. Your breath caught in your throat as you realized what you had done.
Then Aradia did something you didn’t think you’d ever see her do again.
Your eyes widened as you stared into her face, as stoic as ever. But you were sure that you had just heard a laugh.
“Aradia, you just laughed.” You stated simply.
She turned towards you, blinking slowly. “Yes, it appears that I have. How did that happen?”

“Sorry (Name). This is what you get for livin’ in Texas” Dave shrugged.
“Ya but at least you can take off your shirt” you said pointing out the fact that he was lying on the couch in nothing but board shorts and his signature shades.
“You can take your shirt off you know” he said propping himself up on his elbows.
“And give a perverted guy like you a chance. No way” you said teasingly.
“Calling your boyfriend a pervert. That’s not cool.” Dave fell back onto the couch laughing lightly. After a few moments he sat up again “If your really desperate you can go have a cold shower.” You guessed it wasn’t to bad of an idea. With a sigh you stood and walked off to the bathroom.
Long-Distance ~ [Dave x Reader]Long-Distance ~ [Dave x Reader]2 years ago in Romance More Like This
I twisted a few strands of hair around my finger as I listened to my boyfriend, Dave, recount his latest gig at one of the nightclubs in Houston. The phone muffled him just slightly, and I guessed that it was a good thing that we could even talk like this, but I still wanted to hear that Texan twang in person, to hug him and kiss him and just lie there at night, listening to the thump of his heart. Unfortunately, it seemed like the distance between us was too far to ever be bridged.
Tonight was a Skype date night, where we either watched movies and threw popcorn at our respective screens, or talked about everything and nothing at the same time. It felt like the perfect night for the first one, but when Dave called me and I saw the expression on his face, I was terrified, because I knew that look. It’s the, “I’m sorry, I have bad news. Please delete me from your memories/contacts/life” look. Or, at least, that’s what it looked like.

It was my fault. We had a fight and she left me. She moved out of our apartment. It has been three weeks since then. Its been three weeks since we broke up. I was going to set it right though. I took all the supplies I needed and headed to the place we first met.
I was just strolling down the sidewalk. Hands in my pockets and my signature shades on my face. As I rounded the corner someone ran into me. They fell to the ground and when I looked down I saw (h/c) hair. I held out my hand to the girl and she looked up at me with those amazing (e/c) orbs. Her smile, it was one of the most beautiful things ever. I felt my face heat up as she took my hand. After I apologized I asked her name and she told me it was “____”. I fell for her right there.
Dave Strider x Reader-A Genuine SmileYou knocked on the door of the top apartment, waiting for your friend to get to it. Dave had pestered you and said he had something to show you, so you had come over as fast as you could.Dave Strider x Reader-A Genuine Smile2 years ago in Romance More Like This
"Coming!" Your heart fluttered at the sound of his voice. You had told yourself you would never fall for someone like him, but here you were, love-struck over a Strider.
He opened the door, shades on as usual.
"Hey, _____." He pulled you over to his turntables and sat you in a chair.
"So, you wanna hear some new mixes I made?" He asked.
"Yeah, but couldn't you have just sent them to me?"
"Well, I wanted to see y-never mind." He said.
"Oh, okay then. Can I hear them?" He nodded, smiled and-
Stop the fucking presses.
Did the oh-so-cool Dave Strider just show emotion?(you knew you were exaggerating, but it was fun being overly-dramatic.)
"Strider!" He turned to look at you.
"Did you just smile? As in genuinely smile." He scoffed.
"Pfft, 'course not." His poker face was back.
Cool Story Bro Dave x Reader"Cool story bro, I really don't give a shit." You heard a guy say from the front of the classroom. His torso was completely turned around as he spoke to what appeared to be one of his friends.Cool Story Bro Dave x Reader2 years ago in Romance More Like This
"Aw c'mon Dave! You don't have to be mean!" A different guy spoke up from the next table over.
"Class, your attention please!" The teacher said loudly.
Everyone looked front. "This is ___, please be nice to her, as it is her first day here." He scanned the room for an empty spot. "There," he pointed and the guy who the Dave person had been talking to before you arrived.
You took your seat next to him and instead of pulling your school books they had given you this morning, you pulled out your art book. You turned away to pull out your drawing utensils, but when you turned back, the Dave boy had your book.
He flipped through the pages as you let out a squeal and took it back. There were some things in there that people really shouldn't see. You looked at the page he had last had it open on. It was

It was all his fault. You were the best girlfriend he could ask for. He loved you and how you would cling to him, how affectionate you were. But he threw it all away. Why? To be cool, to be a typical strider.
Instead of smiling for you, he had a blank face that looked like he was ignoring you. He loved you he truly did. He showed it as best as he could while still being “cool”. He would let you cling to his arm in public or occasionally hold his hand. He would be smiling like an idiot on the inside, but, on the outside….nothing. Just the same old poker face.
He would hug you in public. But there was still that face. The one of an emotionless robot. If he bought you flowers wasn’t it enough? A robot. If he pecked your cheek did it make it all right? A robot. If he waved slightly to you when you meet up, wasn’t that good enough? A robot. That’s what he looked like. A robot who was programmed, not a person.

You didn’t understand this guy. This Dave Strider. He didn’t smile, cry, frown. He didn’t seem to show any emotions. This led to your crazy plan. You would do whatever it takes to get an emotion to show on his face. You walked into your English class to see him sitting in the same spot all by himself. “Hi Dave!” You exclaimed, waving crazily at him. He looked up at you. “Hey _____.” Nothing. No raised eyebrow at your craziness, no frown of confusion, nothing. You pulled the chair out beside him with a loud drawn out screech. You placed your bag on the ground with a loud thunk! “Dude, what are you doing?” He asked, still expressionless. You narrowed your eyes at him. Oh it was on now. You sat on your chair and pulled a sharpie out of your bag. Without looking at Dave, you leaned over to his desk and wrote ‘poobrain’ on it. You then leaned back on your chair and waited. Thi
