How did the introduction of Jazz, Crazes and popular media influence the American populace during the early 1920s?
Brilliant question Silverpoint345, well well well firstly the American public heard the music and was like "HELL NAH THIS AINT MUSIC" cos in the 1920s everyone was kinda boring and didn't do much except for talkin about the weather, then after a while they became more open minded and were like "HELL YEAH THIS IS MY KINDA SH*T" and the

Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.
Have you ever open the customize option in wacom settings, only to feel dumb and no

I will not be subjected to criminal abuseIts time for another story, do you guys want a story? I will give you one. This one is about my early days in the work industry and how you should always becareful and know your legal rights before you head in, you do not want to be subjected to criminal abuse without knowing. This happened a few years back, straight out of Design College, when I was still an 'Amateur Graphic Designer' as they like to call me. So I was searching online for jobs and found one that requires a Graphic Designer with artistic skills who can create original characters as well as making little icons and graphics stuff. I was like HELL YEAH THATS ME, so I sent them my portfolio, back then it had really unprofessional messy drawings and then a few graphic design works and photography bullshit pieces that I threw in here and there to show my 'range', I didn't have a consistant style and I had no idea what people wanted to see lol. So the company saw my work and they told me to come in. I was reallyI will not be subjected to criminal abuse2 years ago in Personal More Like This
My DD GuidelinesIf you're perusing this journal, you've likely got questions about suggesting a Daily Deviation. How To Suggest a DD

Difference between selling Art and selling MeatGreetings Ryceballs. Today I am gonna be talking about the differences between selling art and selling meat.Difference between selling Art and selling Meat2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It is absolutely fascinating how different the two can be! :iconyoudontsayplz: ... Well first of all, an artist likes their work to be appreciated and let the audience see for themselves whether they want to buy their artwork or not. While a butcher (ESPECIALLY ASIAN ONES LIKE THE ONE IN THE ARTWORK) only cares about selling the meat and making the profit, they have no sentimental feelings towards what they are selling, because if they do then there won't be any meat to sell right? One of the main rule of a butcher is to have no emotional attachment towards the animals, because they know sooner or later the animal needs to be chopped up. Well what about artists? Well they put their blood, sweat and tears into their artwork to make it as pretty as possible, all in hopes that the audiences would enjoy their art as much as the artist enjoy making them. NOW here's the thing thoug

What programs do you use to draw?
Colored illustration: Adobe photoshop CS6 and Paint Tool Sai
Manga: Manga Studio
*Please don't ask me for pirated download links because I highly suggest buying the software.
When did you start drawing ?
All of us started to draw when we were young, right? However, I started taking art seriously when I was 15 years old.
Do you use a tablet? what brand? what size?
Yes, I use Huion 10 x 6 inches.

Why do you only draw female characters?
Because I adore how beautiful girls are. I also tend to have more ideas when drawing girls. But i'm trying to draw things out of my comfort zone, like males and backgrounds.
How long does it take you to finish one illustration?
It depends on the complexi

Managing Your Inbox: Some Tips on StreamliningI'm not really an organized person. Yeah, sure, I like to TRY to be one, but most of my attempts to clean house don't stick. The one exception, however, is in my online life. I keep everything to do with the computer tabbed and organized and that includes my dA life.Managing Your Inbox: Some Tips on Streamlining2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I posted a poll asking visitors what their inbox looked like on a typical day. As of this writing, of the 52 responses, 35 have full inboxes – that is, somewhere between 200 and up to (or over) 1000 messages to sort through. So about 70% of the voters have quite a lot to page over.
I hear horror stories quite frequently from deviants who are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things passing through their inbox. My personal inbox rarely reaches three digit numbers, and the few times it has, it's always been because something of mine has made the footer. While I can't promise that my personal methods will work for everyone, it n

Let's accelerate a little bit, and assume that now you're in the business and have a pretty good groove going. While the core principles are still paramount to anything else, here are some quick one-shot tidbits of information that will assuredly save your bacon.
Back up everything, including the backups.
When working digitally, it's so easy to accidentally delete something off your hard drive and be unable to get it back. I've done this a few times myself. Even had entire hard drives fail on me. But it has been a very, very long time since the last time I had to redo an image from the start. Sure, I've had crashes that put me back an hour, I've merged layers together in a manner that ruins my work flow and makes the file unusable. But fixing these issues isn't nearly as painful

I discussed it on tumblr as some reflection posts, but I thought it might be nice to share on dA as well. ^^
Always be thankful for the things other people have done for you.
Make sure to tell them! <3
Build trust and kinship with others; life is about reciprocity. What you give out is what you get in return.
When I work hard on something to give to someone else and they do not acknowledge it in any way, it renders it meaningless and shallow.
What worth can I ascribe to something that was not accepted by the intended person? It's a very hurtful feeling.
Give credit where it's due!~
If you can pinpoint the source for something, please take the extra 10 seconds to write down the name of the person who created it.
In my case, I am truly happy when people's art are influenced by my style -- but that happiness is shattered when there is no credit given.
I slowly worked to develop a

10) This is not a fashion statement or a way to be cool. It's not a fad.
I hate when people say this. I'm not doing it to fit in anywhere, how many popular kids do you know are cutters? Why would I want to fit in with people who are seen as stupid and lame? Why would I put an unnecessary label on myself in high school? Anyone who cuts to be in the "cool" crowd or does it just to be seen as a "true" goth needs to be slapped hard. It's also not some fad like silly bands or I<3 boobies bracelets. This in not some trade-able scars that are done for shits and giggles, It's serious. Anyone who thinks other wise gives ev
Did u knowWhen you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.Did u know2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Monday = Blue,
Tuesday = Green,
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.
Stop RAPE!I have always been a proud Indian coz I felt it is one country which has unity in diversity. But today I feel ashamed when a "girl" feels utterly unsafe and unprotected to even go out of their house in my country.Stop RAPE!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
A nation-wide news of a 23yr paramedical student getting brutally gang-raped in a moving bus in the capital city of India, Delhi shook the nation and every heart of a girl in India. This is not what I wanted to see when I was a child. India is so full with talented individuals and great minds but still they run a dreadful society by infusing fear to a girl's or a woman's mind?
Please stop this right now. A girl has an equal right to breath, talk, walk and have every possible freedom as the other gender has.
Being a guy, I know that we are attracted to females more than they do. But personally I never have the feeling or even have the guts to think of "raping" someone. How can you do something like that to a human being? A guy must understand that raping a girl is not

Modular OrigamiOrigami, literally meaning 'paper folding', is the well-known traditional Japanese art of doing exactly what it says: folding paper. Its goal? Simply to take a flat piece of paper and transform it into something awesome.Modular Origami2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Modular origami is a branch of the art form that allows artists to achieve results they couldn't with a single piece of paper. Two or more sheets are used, and each sheet is folded into identical shapes termed 'modules' or 'units'. Each module is then assembled to create the final sculpture.
While the single piece of paper rule is abandoned in modular origami, all the other traditional rules still apply: no glue, no cuts, no thread, no fastenings. The pieces must be adhered by the creation of flaps or inserts in the individual pieces.
These deviants showcase this technique with some amazing 3-dimensional origami structures.

1.GOTA BE A FAN BEFORE DOING FAN ART FOR SOMETHING
Yup, I have not seen One Piece or Bleach so I will not do fan art for them, Im sure they are great anime as people has told me, but I just haven't gotten around to watch it thats all. So yes for me, I gota be a fan before doing fan art for something. Otherwise it kinda takes away wat the true meaning of what fan art is right? But yes I do know some people who draws fan art of whats popular rather than what they like, I remember one time I was walking in the artist alley and saw an artist who did an artwork of a fandom that I like, so I spoke to them about the series and realised the person has not played the game or know anything about it, but just drew it because

People i just discovered why i couldnt get true blacks on my cintiqs, or other monitors, blaming led technology. But envidia was the problem at fault.
Color value are from 0 to 255, i mean from black to white, thats good for photoedition, but real bad for games.
Nvidia cards were built for been in video games, so they dont use those values, they use from 16- 235, so you are skipping the most crucial colors for coloring, but for editing it will SUCK.
So i had found a great web page, with a little software for pc users, that you run it and restart and you get solid blacks, this had made my callibration so easy, it was the graphic card the problem.
Just download the program, unzip it, execute it, and choose from 1 to 255 values, restart and its done.
If you dont like it you can revert it by clicking again the other option.
Corel painter works incredible with those values. You notice this more if you have your monitor connected in hdmi mode.
