A Spirited Away Ending
"Forever and Always"
It was that kind of day that looked like nothing would happen.
It was also my birthday.
I was finally 18.
I was finally older.
"Chihiro make sure you come home soon! You father has prepared a wonderful Dinner for you!" My mother called from behind me as I ran out of the door holding me bag in one hand.
"I'll be home soon mom! Stop worrying!" I called back the wind whistling in my hair. As the cherry blossom petals flew around our little home in the meadows.
I was still wearing my school outfit but I honestly didn't give the slightest care.
I began to run along the slopes skidding down the hill.
I still remembered the first time our family had moved here.
I had made a friend that would last forever.
If only I could see him again.
My feet pattered as I passed several of the houses my mother had told me belonged to spirits.
I kept on running as I came across th

Shizuo brought a hand to his mouth to conceal an involuntary yawn. His employer Tom had asked if he received enough sleep last night, commenting that he appeared somnolent, but Shizuo brushed him off, muttering, “I’m fine,” before proceeding to open his mouth wide with another deep inhalation.
Silently following behind Tom, Shizuo observed the activity of the residents in Ikebukuro, noting that few people walked the streets alone anymore. It simply wasn’t safe to with regular kidnappings, infamous gangs, and occasional deaths. The reputation here was growing and not positively. He somehow had a feeling Izaya was behind most, if not all of it.
Shizuo halted in his footsteps as Tom stopped to speak with someone who had failed to pay their debt. He hadn’t caught the reason as to why, but knew it was either because of a lack of financial planning; due to an unforeseen eventuality such as the loss of a job or health problems, a dispute or disagreement of the de
HP vs. Twilight EssayWHY HARRY POTTER IS BETTER THAN TWILIGHTHP vs. Twilight Essay4 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This
The Harry Potter novels are one of the very few book series which have been deemed a classic by critics and readers right after being published. It was obvious for everyone from the start that Harry Potter would be remembered forever. The same cannot be said for the Twilight novels by Stephanie Meyer which are poorly written trash, surprisingly amusing to many teens nationwide. The movies came out as well, which were even worse than the books, which is saying something. Honestly, I could only watch the very first one; it was too painful to see the soap opera continue.
To summarize the books, Harry Potter is the story of an orphan boy who discovers he is a wizard, and his parents were killed by the evil Lord Voldemort. Each book records his epic adventures in the thrilling battle of Good vs. Evil. Twilight is the story of Bella Swan, an ordinary girl who moves to a small town, and there s

Once upon a time in a far away land, there lived a young prince, who had everything you could wish for. He was intelligent, handsome, rich, skilled in all kinds of sports, games and could also play various instruments such as the violin and piano. However… he was far from perfect. His personality was quite…shameful. The young prince was arrogant, conceited, overconfident, heartless, spoiled and had a short temper. He could care less if people liked or disliked him, but one night he would have to pay the toll for his shameful behaviour.
On the prince his 16th birthday an old woman knocked on the front door of his castle. It was a rainy and very cold night and the woman asked the prince for shelter. In return she would give him a single rose. The prince just laughed a bitter chuckle and turned his back to the poor old woman, saying "A filthy old hag such as yourself isn't even worth of setting one foot in my castle." The old woman shook her head in disappointment and gave t

"Where is that boy?" the woman in red asked. She was standing at the beginning of the bridge to the bath house, worried and a little antsy for her friend whom she considered a little brother. Just as she was about to turn around and re-enter the bath house, a voice called out to her.
Kasei turned around and smiled as she saw Haku running up towards the bridge. She met him at the start and embraced him, which he returned.
"I was getting worried." she admitted, putting a hand on his shoulder, "How did everything go with Chihiro?"

It all happened so fast everything rather spun out of control. And he found himself not believing that that Prowl was gone, that Megatron was captured, the Decepticons defeated finally or for now anyway. He couldn't believe that they were going home, but now it didn't feel like they were returning to a home, but to a memory he had forgotten.

You know the saying that when you die, your life flashes before your eyes? Well right there, part of Chihiro's life flashed before her. She could remember everything: From the moment she entered the tunnel with the stone spirit, till the moment she let go of Haku's hand and ran through the grass toward her parents.
She remembered Lin, Boh, Yubaba, Kamaji, Zeniba, and the rest of her friends from the bath house. She remembered Haku; the first person she met in the Spirit World and the last person she saw from the Spirit World. Haku was the boy who saved her, the boy who had once made a promise. That boy.
Haku was the reason she hadn't been able to have a relationship. She had been waiting for him like she promised.

"Come on, Vegeta," she called enthusiastically, throwing him an excited look over her shoulder.
"Mommy, Mommy!" Trunks raced over to her. "I caught one!" He held out his tongue and Bulma laughed as she patted him on his hat-covered head.
"Awe, you win this year," she pretended to be disappointed. "Maybe next year Daddy will win." A sly smile etched her lips as she directed yet another glance at him.
Trunks shot a fleeting glance towards the stiff man before looking back at his mother. "Dad doesn't do fun," the four-year-old stated, half-surprising his mother.
Vegeta pushed himself away from the wall. "The boy's right. I don't know why you th

He'd been leading the fight against the Decepticons for years, but he'd never come across one as scary as this. 130 feet tall at its peak, the cold metal snaked this way and that, coming together to create one massive being. Roller coasters had never been his thing.

Sarah watched as her ten-year old son climbed out of the pool, shaking his shaggy blond hair out of his eyes. He looked so much like Ambrosious when he did that, she couldn't help but laugh at him. Hearing her laughter, he looked in her direction. His blue eyes lit up with a mischievous fire as he hurried towards her. Standing, she backed away from him as he dripped his way nearer.
"Don't you dare, young man!" she said, for her she knew what he was attempting. She had just finished drying off, and she had no intention of getting wet again. He smirked and kept stalking her. This was a game they played, the two of them. His twin sister was more likely to sneak up while she wasn't looking and throw a bucket of water on her.
As her son made a lunge for her, his arms open, she stepped sideways and nudged him back into the water. He came up a moment later, whining, "Mooooom! You never let me get you That's not fair!"

It had been six years since Chihiro had crossed over to the Spirit World. Six years since she had met Haku, her first love. Six years since she saved the Spirit World. Six long years had passed since she let go of Haku's soft hand and walked back into the human world.
She didn't realize it until she crossed into the human world and couldn't look back; she loved Haku. She loved a Spirit. Even though she was young, her feelings for Haku were there. She didn't know why or how it happened, but it did. She loved the impossible.
She hadn't told anyone about the Spirit World, her friends, or even Haku.

Before you leap from branch to dirt,
Four little notes you whistle to the sky,
And the Mockingjays echo your cry,
They sing it to the distant sky blue,
You pause to hear them singing your little tune,
You dance along the solid ground,
Not making a single sound,
Agile and silent you head toward the pier,
So you can light the next distracting fire,
A rustle in the trees makes you halt,
Only to your own fault,
Before you can move to vanish again,
You're trapped and screaming for your last friend,
You know she'll never reach you,
As a boy steps into view,
Triumph on his face he throws the spear,
Your scream is not the only one you hear,
As pain and the spear render you to your knees,
She runs out to slice you free,
But it's too late for you to escape this place,
Tears slide down your filthy face,
She's talking to you and choking down grief,
You need a different pain relief,
You ask her to sing to drown out,

Haru sipped stupidly at her drink and stood quiet behind a hat. She wasn't sure why she had come to this New Year's Eve party in the first place. She was no good at parties anyhow. They always made her feel wet and she ended up like she was now, hiding and hoping nobody noticed how happy her arm got when she was nervous.
Well, truth be told, Haru knew very well why she was at the party: to see Baron.
Ah, Baron. Just the thought of him, the chance of a glimpse of his dirty ears made Haru's heart beat like a rainbow that casts a happy glow o'er all the land.
But tonight everyone was masked. Haru peered angryily through the crowd, trying to guess which guest was Baron. There, she thought, the man over by the cake, the iridescent one with the cat mask. It had to be Baron. No one else could look so tired, even in a cat mask.
He began to walk Haru's way and Haru started to panic. What if he actually talked to Haru?
Baron came right up to Haru and Haru thought that she was goi

I have read all four books just to see if maybe I can puzzle out the reason for such crazy attention focused on this seemingly overused and beat to death plotline. As if we havent seen forbidden love in EVERY SINGLE NOVEL that is trying to make it big. The star-crossed lovers are the most played upon archetypes, and unfortunately, is probably the reason for the success of this monstrosity Stephanie Meyer wrote from her own sexually frustrated imagination. Now, I know Im probably going to have to hide out from all of the demented Twilight fan-girls who are planning as I type this to throw acid in my face or burn down my house or worse, rent the Twilight movie and make me watch it. Im probably going to pay for this later when one of my

You aren't the fastest by any means,
But fleet and fast enough and hardly seen,
That golden glow from that statue of doom and hope,
Sliding onto one knee you grab a rope,
It's a net and pull it hard,
But someone on the other side strikes you in the heart,
You hit the ground knowing you'll die,
Yet no blood flows or flies,
Running a hand over a welt,
You laugh in relief as it was a spear butt that you felt,
Rolling over you snatch to another to trip,
They kick away your desperate grip,
Anger across their face flashes,
Before again a kick flashes,
Pain and the sound of crushing bone,
You'll never make it home,
Except in a wood box you think,
Before into death you sink,
You run determined to get away,
You can get provisions another day,
Over a body you fly in a leap,
Ignoring the shining deadly heap,
If they get the chance they'll kill you,
Running is the best thing to do,
You hear shouts and yells and moans,
You have to flee to make it home,
When your feet hit ground a pain kn

Scenes From My Head: Kaidan (LI in ME1) talks with Garrus (LI in ME2) in ME3 about love triangle.
Reasons for rewrite:
When I first played ME2, I got my ME1 saves mixed up and ended up romancing Garrus on my character that romanced Liara in ME1 (which made the Shadow Broker DLC a bit awkward.) Anyway, in ME3 when I saw Liara and Garrus sitting in the lounge I thought, Oh crap, they're going to throw down. But no, the characters never addressed each other about the tangled love triangle. So I decided this needed to be rectified!
This is hopefully the start of many versions, depending on my mood, but of course I had to write Garrus and Kaidan since it ties into my Shakarian fanfic ( http://fav.me/d629krt) though the conversation could work regardless of whom Shepard chooses.
Timeline: The conversation occurs after the Cerberus attacks the Citadel, but before the Citadel companion dates that lock in Shepar

Rushing blood inside your veins,
But for how long can it remain,
Focus now on that golden shine,
Wait for that starting sign,
Sixty seconds and counting down,
Slowly you look around,
Twenty three others awaiting the same,
But only one will get the fame,
And only one will walk away,
To see their families another day,
That sound rings out loud and clear,
Your feet have wings brought on from fear,
Grab what you can is your only thought,
But that knife which you sought,
Bites into your back as you start to flee,
Slowly you fall to your knees,
Your thoughts are slipping out of your head,
As you collapse to the ground stone cold dead.
Returning in Wood
Pain rips along your front and side,
But you don't waste the breath to let out a cry,
Instead you spin and slash out without sight,
A cry and a cannon as you end a life,
Blood darkens your once pale skin,
You don't know if from you or from him,
It doesn't matter for you must fly,
Before someone decides it's your turn to die,
