My cosplay as Luffy in his Strong World adventure gear! This was taken by the lovely *Risachantag during our One Piece Strong World photoshoot at the local Botanical Golf course last month. It was super-fun and we had a fantastic time running through the gardens and perplexing the mini-golfers.
All set for the challenges of the New World, Usopp trained hard in his two years on the Boin Archipelago. He's ready to see his nakama. He'll show them he's harder ... better ... faster ... stronger ... and still a cowardly idiot! XD
Finally uploading some pics from Wai-Con early this year where [link] Mutiny Go! Cosplay reunited the Straw Hat crew. I hope you like the new-and-improved 'Captain' Usopp! I made almost everything you see here, although HUGE thanks and gratitude must go to Sofie/Nami who sewed my pants. The nose was my first attempt at latex work (the one in the picture is version 2.3).
Another pic from Mutiny Go! Cosplay's ([link]) One Piece Strong World photoshoot with the incredible *Risachantag (kindly assisted by the amazing ~rallamajoop and ~Shastachan) at the beginning of June. This one's me and my sis. We love the way Usopp and Luffy like to clown around a bit like brothers, so it's fun to cosplay them together. ~Veleven did a great job of cleaning this one up - I can't take any credit for how good it looks.
I dunno, Usopp. Maybe your shorts. Your face. Your ... Nah - kidding, man! You know we love you!
Another shot *Veleven took after the cosplay picnic last year in the casual outfits we made in a day. My favourite thing about this was that I finally got to wear Usopp's iconic sniper goggles from Loguetown. (Even cooler was that my friend Sofie 'stole' them for her Bon Clay cosplay for Supanova in June this year. Loved it!)
Here's the first pic of me as CAPTAIN Usopp in all his cowardly brilliance, from Eiichiro Oda's One Piece Strong World!
He’s my favourite One Piece character so I was determined to do his highly-animated expressions justice. I truly enjoyed strutting around in this guy’s boots!
I’m a novice cosplayer, so I relied on simple methods to bring this colourful, eccentric outfit together. His helmet was lots of fun, and Kabuto (the slingshot) was probably the fiddliest part, taking plenty of wire, elastic, reticulation piping, hot-glue, spray-paint, ingenuity and perseverance to get it all done. The nose was challenging … and a little painful! Oh, and yes: the rest is just me and make-up.
Mutiny Go! Cosplay ([link]) had a fantastic time stomping around the local Botanical Gardens for our photoshoot with the incredible *Risachantag (kindly assisted by the amazing ~rallamajoop and ~Shastachan) at the beginning of June.
**********UPDATE********** Thanks to all who voted for me in the 2012 Otaku House Cosplay Idol Competition. I didn't get through, but the support I received was really nice, so thank you all very much! You're all very kind. xx **************************
This was quite an accidental shot since we were just talking about something with ~Storyscarecrow and ~Lapirin happened to take a picture out of it. I think it turned out quite a heartwarming one so I decided to post it
