Impressive is a ooak (one of a kind) kirin sculpture. He was made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, and painted in acrylics. He has brown resin eyes, and his hair is tibetan lamb fur. He stands about 8 inches tall to the top of his antlers, and 4.5 inches tall from chest to bum.

Impressive was a commission, and a fun one too; I haven't done many dark kirins and I had been wanting to do a coppery coloured one for a while. He has more deer-like anatomy, and the taller, slimmer look was a big of a change from the last few goat-shaped ones I've done. The commissioner lives close enough to me that I could deliver him in person, which was also a neat experience. I was quite sad to see him go!

If you are interested in a commission check out my website here: [link] sculptures start at $200.

This is an older photo, from January 2013. I haven't shared these before since Oannes (the foal) was a secret gift and I didn't want his new owner to see! Pictured with Oannes is Lilt (lying down) and Arion (standing), two commissions from around the same time. They looked like they fit so nicely together that I couldn't help grab a few "family" shots. It's a bit sad that they all went to different owners!

Each kirin is made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, and painted in acrylic. Their hair is tibetan lamb fur and they have inset resin eyes. For more info on each, visit their individual deviation pages:

The kirins pictured are not for sale, however if you are interested I do have several foals and other things for sale on etsy at the moment: [link]

Ekka is a one of a kind griffin thinger, sort of a random personal side project. She's made from polymer clay over wire and foil, and painted in acrylics. I had originally intended for her to be a lot creepier; she ended up super cute! (Besides the weird mangled front feet...)

Ekka is about 7 inches tall and balances on her two feet. She has lots of feathery detail and layers of colour. She was a lot of fun to make, especially since I needed the practice sculpting feathers. In the next few months I'm hoping to do a more traditional looking griffin.

OOAK (one of a kind) kirin sculpture named "Eirlys". She is made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature and painted in acrylics. All of my sculptures are completely one of a kind, which means that I never do moulds or casts, and I never attempt to replicate sculptures I've already done.

Eirlys is about 4 inches long from chest to bum, and about 7 inches tall to the tip of her horn. She has greyish blue resin eyes. Her body is an iridescent creamy white with shimmering silver horn, hooves, and scales. Her hair is tibetan lamb fur. Unlike my other kirins, I have given Eirlys exaggerated cervine anatomy, with a thinner, delicate frame.

Nepenthe is a ooak (one of a kind) kirin or unicorn sculpture. He is made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, and painted in acrylic. His hair is tibetan lamb fur an his eyes are made from resin. He has a body length of about 5 inches long and is about 5.5 inches tall from ground to antler tip.

I did Nepenthe just as a random personal project, I seem to always want to make wintery kirins around this time of year! He's been sold already, but if you're interested in a commission, I have information on my website here: [link] sculptures start at $200.

Ikatere is a ooak (one of a kind) handmade water demon sculpture. He is made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, with no moulding or casting of any kind involved. He is about 4 inches long from chest to bum, 8.5 inches long from tail to nose, and about 7 inches tall from feet to horn tips. He's got inset resin eyes that are a greenish yellow.

I started Ikatere about a year ago, but he kept getting pushed aside for other things. I finally finished sculpting him 4-5 months ago and he sat unpainted on my desk until now! I'm glad I waited until inspiration hit to paint him, because I really like how he turned out. He is very iridescent, painted in several interference colours and pearlescent powders. His body is teal/ turquoise in the middle and fades out to pearl white at the legs and to a deep royal blue at the horns and tail. These photos are actually quite accurate to what his colours look like in person, though he does shimmer different colours in different light.

I've taken to just calling him a water demon because I'm not really sure what he is. Someone said lizard wolf, someone else said kirin, so I don't even know. He's got fur, some feathers on his chest, scales, paws in front and claws behind, furry ears and tail, and horns. I was just making it up as I went along with the sculpting, trying to do something different (so it's sort of ironic someone said he looks like a kirin, teach me to try something different!)

Dianoetic is a ooak (one of a kind) arabian unicorn sculpture made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature. She is about 10 inches tall to the tip of her horn, and has a body length (chest to bum) of about 5 inches. She has turquoise resin eyes.

When I started making unicorns in 2008 I always did them in super vibrant, iridescent colours but lately have been sticking to natural horse colours. A friend suggested I try something different with this one (I was originally going to paint her chestnut!) and I couldn't be happier with the result. I used interference paint and micro powders so she is super iridescent and changes colours a bit in different lighting. Her hair is a mix of dyed mohair in dark purples, greens, and some blue. She balances on two legs using extra supports that stretch down under the feathering. I've also been practicing indoor photos with some coloured paper, I think it worked out well. The weather has been too gross to risk taking sculptures outside.

Dianoetic was sold before I even had a chance to do proper photos of her, so I'll likely do more unicorns in bright colours in the future! If you are interested in a commission check out my website here: [link] sculptures start at $200.

Elysia is a ooak (one of a kind) unicorn sculpture, made from polymer clay over wire and foil. She has been painted in acrylic and haired with tibetan lamb fur. Her eyes are an interesting metallic teal, and she's covered in a ton of silver and pearl iridescence.

Elysia is about 4.5 inches long from chest to bum, and about 6 inches tall to the top of her horn. I wanted to try something new with her, and got a bit carried away with the cloud pattern on her sides, but I do like how it turned out.

Elysia is for sale on etsy here: [link]

Volition is a ooak (one of a kind) clydesdale unicorn stallion sculpture. He is made from polymer clay over wire and foil, and painted in acrylic. Like all my sculptures, Volition is a true one of a kind, meaning no moulds were used or taken in his creation. He is quite large, about 6 inches long from chest to bum. He has brown inset resin eyes and tibetan lamb fur for hair.

Volition is actually a very old sculpture, I started him in 2011 and put him aside for several months, later to realize I had done his anatomy wrong. At one point I removed his old head and attached it to another sculpture (Meridian the hippocampus, if you're curious) and made him a new one. Once again I abandoned him and finally got to working on him again in 2013, but the way his original armature was made I felt he was better suited to a draft body. I got a little carried away with the painting on his white markings but I like how the texture turned out. I haven't painted a bay in a long time, nor have I ever done much in the way of draft horses so this guy was a nice change for me.
