If you go down to your respective area, you'll find the download link-- like, if you have a Windows and are new, go to: IF YOU ARE A NEW PESTERCHUM USER OR ARE INSTALLING ON A NEW COMPUTER:
If you have a Mac, it works there too-- go to: IF YOU ARE ON A MAC:
IT'S SO AWESOME-- and it works o3o. . . NOW I NEED YOU, MY PESTERCHUM BUDDIES--
I have gotten a few questions about if it is safe to use or if it installs viruses, and as far as I am away, it doesn't.
And as for if it's not working, it is likely an issue with the computer itself, because it works for most people, I think.
All new fursuit makers, are you ready?Something that has been going around in my head for the past week as I've watched a ton of new makers jumping out of the woodworks, eager to take on commissions. Making suits is great and can be a great hobby, but for those that are wanting to continue making them beyond the Hobby mark, ask yourself these questions...All new fursuit makers, are you ready?3 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Do I have the time to dedicate to this?
On average I will work 12-16 hour 'shift' days making suits, 6 days a week. I will take a day or two off to loosen up and relax, but perhaps ever 2 weeks or so. To keep up with the demand and the work load it takes a ton of my time, often sacrificing fun events such as the movies or a bon fire.
2. Do you have the space?
I started working off of my bed, then out of the spare bedroom. Small projects don't take up space, but larger ones certainly do. Do you have the space needed for furs, tools, cutting, sewing, and other things of the sort?
3. Do you have the dedication?
Fursuit making can not only be rewarding, but it can also be

most of the time i just call it the 800+ project. basically i try to draw every character (or cat one) that is on this page, supposedly every character in the warrior cat series by erin hunter. thats the wikia for it if you dont know what series that is.
because i feel like it. ive been drawing cats for too long so its easy for me to draw them and makes me happy. so whenever i feel stressed i sit and draw a couple cats. i also like playing with how to make cats look different but still in a uniform style. i a
Why fursuits cost so much$56.68 - 1.5 Yards fake furWhy fursuits cost so much3 years ago in Personal More Like This
$5.05 - tax
$10.44 - shipping
$73.17 Order Total
Shit man, and this fur is just for the lower arms and digigrade legs of the next suit I am working on... and this may not even be enough fur for the job.
$73.17 does not even buy enough fur for this entire project, let a lone the cost of the foam, stuffing, thread, eyeblanks (I buy the super nice acrylic ones... the super nice expensive acrylic ones) clay, glue, zipper, etc (and this one has airbrushing, horns, hooves and a mane of hair too)
And then there are start up costs like a glue gun, storage racks, air brush unit and a sewing machine (namely the machine/airbrush, either way good ones will be $500+)
Fursuits are not cheap nor easy to produce... and they take lots of time and skill, and really the biggest thing you pay for when purchasing a good fursuit is time and skill.
Fursuits take hundreds of dollars in material and hundreds of hours in time to build, and behind each well built suit is a pers
DC puss out. While at my local comic-book emporium, I had a quick leaf through Harley Quinn #0 to check out the winning page from DC’s recent talent search.DC puss out.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It didn’t do much to dampen the disdain I harbour for the big-name comic companies.
For a start, I’m not sure how that page was selected as the cream of the crop. Bravo to the artist for being selected, sure, but there were far more dynamic, lively examples I saw posted here on DA, and I'm genuinely surprised that none of them were chosen. The page selected feels just as stiff, stagnant, sterile and devoid of life as much of the other stuff DC discharges onto the shelves (which might have been why they ran with it).
The main gripe I have, though, is that they changed the final panel.
For those that (somehow) missed the whoo-haa that the whole talent search kicked off: the script DC provided to their would-be artists called for illustrations depicting the titular Harley trying to off herself in a series of absurd ways: holding

Once upon a time, a lazy joke used over and over in American movies and TV shows was Japanese tourists taking pictures of everything with their instamatic cameras. Today we are taking pictures of everything using our (usually Japanese) cellphones. When we were laughing at Japanese “quirks” we didn’t realize we were making fun of the cultural architects of our own future. The most amazing thing about our

New Orleans, the Comeback Kid
Vibrant, raucous and, more than any other metropolis in America—truly alive! New Orleans is the one city in America that nobody believed would not stage a comeback after Katrina tried her best to kill its Big Noise. New Orleans is protected by Jesus or hoodoo or both—it’s all one glorious mixed–up gumbo goulash of cultures believing in live and let live.
Most cities in America are mostly alike in most everything. New Orleans is the exception. It is unique. It has had a separate evolution and it’s the most arts–based cultural treasure in our nation. The city i

I wanted to offer some quick resources for those who may be interested in the spiritual work I do with animal parts, since I've been talking about it again lately, and also because it's part of why I created :iconPaganRitualTools: (since the main reason I started making ritual tools and other art with animal parts in the '90's was due to spiritual, sacred reasons). There's really not that much info available on the subject; most of the people I know who have worked with animal parts in neopagan spirituality did so based on the work I've done, though some of the innovations they've made have been pretty fascinating. And other than a chapter in Patricia Telesco's and Rowan Hall's "Animal Spirit", and a few scattered articles online (like Juniper's "Dead Things on the Altar: http://nature.pagannewswirecollective.com/2011/07/24/dead-things-on-the-altar/ ), I've found very little published information on non-indigenous uses of animal
Finding Fursuit Foam: A TipSince fursuit's often rely on lots of upholstery foam to make, especially if you want more complex padding, or large toony heads, if you are on a budget it can be kind of difficult buying all the foam you need on top of other supplies. And depending where you live and what you can find, you have to order it online! There's shipping costs :C And dear gosh, dont' even get started on if you mess a piece up, and don't have enough foam left to correct it. Then you have to buy more!Finding Fursuit Foam: A Tip5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Well here's a tip:
If you are planning a fursuit, go to your local upholstery shops. The ones that sell upholstery/drapery fabric, as well as do upholstery, or re-upholstery services FIRST before you buy foam!
Why? A trip down to my local store for fabric let me stumble upon something magical...
FREE SCRAP FOAM!
Upholstery shops are often left with cuttings of foam from their reupholstering projects, since the cuttings are usually too small to use for anything like couches, chairs, and pillows, it is simply bagge

Aviator Hats are a Go!Hello peoples!Aviator Hats are a Go!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'm back, as promised, to announce that the aviator hats are back in my Etsy shop Thank you all so much for the suggestions made in my previous journal entry! With the time I had I was able to churn out a new ear design and two new side motif designs.
Like the last time I made these hats, I've got a group of sample hats that are already made which you are free to order for a lower price. Then I've got the custom options which are made-to-order, there you can choose a hat based on color and change up the ears and side motif at your leisure ^w^ The prices depend on the ear and headflap options you choose, since those take extra time and fabric to add. Of course you also have the option to order yours completely plain.
I've also put up made-to-or

After a routine blood test I was told I have a fatty liver and some sort of autoimmune disorder. That might explain why I'm tired all the time! I'm just afraid I have Lupus... That wouldn't be good. So, it's time to focus on my health! I've started a diet and I intend to lose 90lbs and get down to 180lbs. If I can meet this goal I want to look into modeling. The whole thing about Copyright...Copyright.The whole thing about Copyright...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's a tricky little thing, right?
Not really. Copyright is quite easy to understand. Despite this, few people actually truly understand the full meaning of copyright.
Over my years here on DA, I've seen several people that don't quite understand what copyright is. Some times they listen to what they are told when you try to explain, sometimes they don't.
I've thought about it for years, but finally decided to actually bring up the issue.
Copyright is something that – like the name suggests – protects your original work. Weather it is a photo or painting or something else. It is your right to own your own original work.
Copyright applies to all things that you upload to the internet. You don't need to put a big stamp on your photo to have it protected by copyright. Unless anything else is stated, full copyright applies to the specific photo. A picture is not "Public Domain" just because it lacks a watermark or a signature. A copyright stamp is not mandatory if you want somet

I'm back from my so called hiatus. I apologize for the lack of art and activity, but I will start to be activate here on dA again! I had to keep a little break from drawing 'cause my wrist has a repetitive strain injury (from drawing too much, the irony). I also had a massive artblock which made drawing even more harder. Now I've gotten my motivation and inspiration back. The quality of my arts may vary. ;u;
