"Oh little gentle soul, in the form of the gentle deer, how you capture the wildness of a fragile shape. He never leaves your side, he never turns away. He stays with you, his antlers broad like the branches which stem from lives long gone. He greets you in the dawn. He sways you to sleep in the dusk. Oh little gentle soul, how lucky can you be, for he will be the spring bound wind, always to be here."
They requested their character Leola back in August of 2013.
I normally do not take requests and if I do, it can take me a long while to complete them, just because I can get stuck.... like I did with this. I had the character colored and everything, but I could not for the life of me come up with a background. As much as I searched and searched for inspiration, I eventually abandoned the idea and moved on, hoping something with strike me later. Later has come and an idea hit me quick that I had to finish it within a couple nights.
I do hope I am forgiven for the long...lengthly... time I took to get this request done. I hope the wait was worth it at least and I hope I didn't disappoint. Please do enjoy.
I felt the need to revisit this picture for a couple reasons. The main one I had I loved the concept but the first version I had provided the link to in the top of the description was in my old artwork done actually a year ago (which is surprising now actually seeing my improvements.)
The other reasoning behind this picture was I needed to treat myself out to a beautiful picture to get as a personal customized item (a mousepad in this case) and wanted something more up-to-date, I wanted Winterbliss but it was too old for my liking so low and behold, I present a completely revamped and new fresh version of it I can continue to be proud of. Also lastly, this is technically a gift in a sense for my gal since I wanted to include her like the original picture.
So all in all this picture was simply a just for fun picture and to try and brush en up on my work, I'm not into drawing seriously I only do it for fun, but I try to keep the rust away.
This was done on Photoshop CS5 and the estimated time was about 20-25 hours, as I did not clock this piece.

This is an older piece of mine but still one I favor, done about a year ago but decided to post this up since I had recently moved from a different art website over here. So hope you all enjoy it regardless of it's more out of date nature.
